9.They are Blameless
LETS DISCUSS IN CONTEXT TO MATTHEWS;2;17-18.
Greetings Jakotis!
First of all, Matt.2:17 has nothing in common with the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 7 & 14.
Rachel weeping for her children is in reference to when Herod had all of the male children 2 years old and under put to death. The reason for the males only being put to death was because the Magi told Herod that they had seen "His" star.
Secondly, there are three symbolisms in Revelation 12:
1). The woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under feet and wearing a crown of twelves stars
2). The woman gives birth to a male child
3). A red dragon with seven heads, ten horns and seven crowns
According to Genesis 37:9-10, the woman is symbolically representing the nation Israel:
Sun = Jacob
Moon = Wife/wives
Eleven Stars = eleven of the twelve tribes with Joseph being the twelfth.
Since the woman is not a real woman but is symbolically representing Israel, then neither is her pregnancy a literal pregnancy, nor is her child a literal child.
Regarding Revelation 14, the 144,000 are said to be those who did not defile themselves with woman, which would infer that they are all males, ergo the male child.
In Revelation 7:1-8, there are 144,000 Israelites who are sealed by God, 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes with Manasseh replacing Dan. These 144,000 will recognize Jesus as their Messiah, which is in opposition to the woman/Israel who does not recognize Jesus as their Messiah. The woman as unbelieving Israel is then symbolically giving birth to 144,000 believing Israelites, i.e. the 144,000 are coming out of the woman Israel, ergo, gives birth to.
