Everyone may have a different answer for this and that is fine. In the Bible we read about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This and the tree of life. I wonder: is good and evil balanced? Is there as much good as there is evil in this world? In the law of thermodynamics we have equilibrium (a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced). Then of course we do hear that God is abundantly above and beyond all that we could ever ask or think. If there were as much good somewhere as there is evil, pain, misery and suffering in this world, I would think that would be substantial. We also hear that we need to die to self so we can live for God. I am not sure how that plays into all of this.

Things may see muddled now but stay tuned. We won't see things clearly until we are redeemed, made holy, glorified. What we have now is an earnest of the Spirit (second birth) and justification and varying degrees of sanctification, all the while in the midst of the battle against the powers and principalities of evil. Total good comes when the totality of God's kingdom arrives in its fullness. Right now there is a plurality of kingdoms, a plurality of wills.

I don't think so. The Holy Spirit of God is also the Holy Spirit of Jesus! We may not understand the Trinity fully.....yet. But it is clearly Scriptural.

Read the post before you answer. You're throwing out random verses. He said He laid down His life, if He was murdered by the Father that's not willingly laying down His life.

I have read what the Bible says and prayed and meditated while fasting for wisdom and clarity. I have desired only for His instruction and counsel. He has rewarded my diligence by opening my eyes and transforming my mind. My thoughts are not original. They are guided to what was originally given before man added confusion to them.

Where does it say it would make a difference seeing the onetime demonstration of the two (Father and Son) is over and we are commanded not to seek after corrupted flesh that is no longer here or returned to the dust. God is not a man.

The Son of man Jesus informed us His flesh and blood used as a demonstration does not profit as if we walked by sight after the temporal things seen. We cannot serve two masters as teachers . (1) What the eyes see and (2) what the spirit reveals.

Its not what do men say but what does our father in heaven reveal. The Potter reveals his will to flesh and blood (clay) by forming Christ in it.

It is the work of the unseen Spirit that dwelled in the Son of man that did profit as a law of faith. .No power from his earthen body of death .Just like al believers. We should believe without murmuring like Adam and Eve in the garden .That ended in death.

After all if it is God's power working in us with us to both will and do his good pleasure. why would we edify our own self as if it was not given freely from His hand (will) ?

It would be like seeking after the bones of Moses .They are hid for a purpose. I don't think any one has a DNA record of the blood of the Son of man . Where to begin would be the question? we neither wrestle against flesh and blood the temporal things seen or do we seek its approval as self edifying.

We walk or understand God not seen by a living faith as Christ in us works to make the load lighter. . No one has received the promise of a new incorruptible body

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

God is not a man.

According to Peter (and God), wicked men killed Jesus.
God, for His part, raised Jesus from the dead and glorified Him, and is now having his prophet Peter continue the work of redeeming the very Israelites who committed the murder.

God did not murder Jesus, nor did Jesus commit suicide. Fallen sinful men murdered Jesus. Jesus simply did not defend himself and allowed it to happen.

Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?

Frankly much of what you say is blasphemous. You insinuate God is a murderer and you denying the ultimate redemption of Israel. I can't remember but are you a preterist?

We read in Genesis 1:31 that all was very good. If this is true then we have nothing to worry about even if there are a few bumps in the road.

It’s questions like these that reveal your true intent. Clearly you just like attention. Starting with title, Is God Good?”, you have just invited argument. If the words of Christ can’t be trusted when stated, “...only my Father is good,” then why continue? I’m sure you intentionally contradicted the Creeds that you esteem for the purpose to antagonize other posters. Sometimes I think, maybe he’s just that stupid and needs more information. But no, you aren’t stupid, just obviously bored and enjoy the conflict. Once again, I have more to accomplish today. No point trying to teach the unteachable. May the Lord give you a heart for Him instead of your Catholic forefathers.

Depends on what you mean by wrong. God watches over the KJV to do what He says He will do. That does not mean there are not a lot of problems with that translation. If you want to understand the Bible you have to read the Hebrew.

Well this guy is wrong, God is not above the law, His very nature IS the law.

This is such a great example of the futility of our thinking processes. Proclaiming "If this, then God that", as if man could even comprehend, the thinking, reasoning, planning, and will of God. Then having the complete audacity to say this in a way that suggest that God is above the law, as if He transgresses His own law or something, just doesn't sound right to me, honestly this is as close to blasphemous a thing can get, if it's not already there. Something is only "evil" or "wrong" if it transgresses His will. Jesus didn't ever do it, which person of the Godhead do you suggest is "above" His nature? I even agree with a lot of what you say here ol' DaveL, and don't even know anything about who you're quoting here, but man this isn't at all a good start to something "worth looking into", In my opinion, but I kind of just jumped in, so I'm not even sure what you're recommending it for, not only that but I should read it all before really forming a full opinion. I just sounds bad to me, for whatever that's worth.
