You cannot do it. I cannot do it. We must let Him do 100% of it. Only by His precious blood can we be made clean. We cannot be perfect. All He requires is a heart-felt 'want-to'. Don't follow your feelings. Follow the beautiful truth of God's Word. Whenever you mess up, just have a little talk with Jesus. Just maintain a humble heart towards Him.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

I have played the fool in the past also. God will not stop us from trying to rationalize our sin, but He always stands by us, waiting for us to come back out into the light. You are so precious to Him, even in your darkest hour. I am so glad you came here, and so is He. We all love you so much, and He loves you even more. Bless you, dear.

Thank you Oyster, I was really shaking my head at some of the posts here--until I saw yours. Finally, someone making sense to this deluded believer. God pulls away from us to test us but He does not forsake us.

Jenni, I just want to encourage you. That accusatory spirit is not God, it is satanic and demonic. Resist it and it will flee from you: James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Hi jenni, I can’t say that ‘I love you’ because I’ve never met you. But I can say that your post resonated with me. Your the first person who has ‘admitted’ this, and think I was supposed to find it bc i experienced the same thing. The ‘act’ that I did was without doubt, ‘demonic’(as are all sinful acts).
So Thankyou for being so honest. I have a real issue with liars (even though I have lied, but actively try not to now!) proverbs 6:16-19 (things The Lord hates)
Ps. satan was a liar from the beginning
