the ones who love you are the ones who tell you the truth! i would rather have blunt truth than flowery deceit! the greatest lie satan tells people is to make them believe that their sin is ok with God. to make them believe that they are saved when in fact they are on their way to hell! it is to soothe their conscience and put them at ease concerning their sin, so that they will never turn from it! and in the end, they go to hell!

It is by the fear of the Lord that men depart from evil! and thus are saved!

2Co 7:8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Looks like anger issues are running high in this thread.
i hope that you are not referring to my posts. my posts are not done in anger: but Gods love! love rejoyces in the truth and abhors lies, and evil! Remember the scripture that says Pro 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.'

I believe that ANY AND ALL SIN is an affront to a holy God. And that even one sin, in thought or deed, is enough to separate us from Him. As the Apostle James wrote, "For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all....".

That being said, as I have mentioned in other threads on the subject, the thing with homosexuality is that it's one of those sins or practices which as almost always shoved down our throats as something we just have to accept and support.

Which is why we as Christians appear to come down harder on it than on other sins. Because we're constantly told that we're unloving, bigoted, closed-minded, etc. All for simply stating what God says on the matter.

And Ezekiel, although prophesying to Israel, said that if someone doesn't warn another person of his/her sin and the second person dies in sin, then the Lord will require it of the first person. But that if the first person DOES warn the second person to turn from sin, and the second person doesn't listen, the soul of the first shall be delivered. I think that general idea applies to Christians also.

The real issue here is that my friend was manipulated into hating herself, by so called Christians throwing Bible verses at her. Instead of at least guiding her in a good way, they were going out their way to cast stones. I will not forget that.

Dating advice apparently.
I thought that young people dated online.

The only advice that I would give her is to enjoy the company of her girl friends, and look for that special boy that God has for her. That day will come.

I have issues with people displaying hatred. Those people who were claiming to be Christians was the people making her do what she did. I don’t value that sort of behavior much, regardless of how many times they’re uttering the name of Jesus. Sounds like Pharisees to me.

No to be rude, but can you answer my question now? Do you believe according to the Bible that same sex relationships are wrong?

In consonance with @Unfortunatelyasinner and @Susanna for the need of showing courtesy and being sympathetic, Paul's words to Timothy are quite apropos.

"And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will" (2 Timothy 2:24-26).

Usually the arguing takes place in the BDF and not the Family forum.
What is your problem? all you do is take the biscuit and I’ve had enough. I don’t want dating advice I wanted some kind Christians to offer some guidance. Clearly that was too much to ask.

I came here for advice and most of you are being nasty about it and making a joke about out. I thought maybe I would get some good advice but not. Most of you are probably grown arsed people and your sat behind a screen being horrid to a 17 year old. Wow this is what the world has came to.
Ignore those comments. May I ask, do you have a church you attend regularly? Or a close Christian friend? Have you talked to anyone who knows you personally?

You’re condemning me to Hell. Great to know what to expect from you. Why don’t you just tie a rock around my neck and cast me into the sea? Because that’s what you say I deserve.
No I am not condemning you to hell I can't do that but i will say if you are supportive of people who say they are gay while knowing Biblically is is wrong 2. Medical evidence and psychological evidence has proven it is not a mind-set that breeds wellness of the person. No anger issue it just shows when you are confronted with truth you result to name calling and false narrative. I'm not mad at anyone :) . Just like most liberal christians they are willing to take a humanist approach to the word of God then when called on they result to lying.

it is clear you are supporter of homosexuality just the poor advice you gave to this person. IF you are offended too bad. LOL

They told you they were of course hatful christians what a false narrative. There are more Christian frankly who are afraid to say what some have said in this post. Because they have :
  1. lost their job
  2. called names and racist as if homosexuality is grace of people
  3. suggest we are homophobe when most today are lacking people skills instead of sexual identity issues.
  4. Forget the church was there to help when the outbreak of HIV/AIDS back in the 80's

The problem now Christian are no longer wanting to remain silent anymore and it's about time! The Church of
Laodicea or lao-deceive ya Is what Jesus HIMself spoke about was our Lord hateful?

To be more truthful some have just perverted the Love of God to accept anything. That is not true.

I have not seen anyone make jokes other than the name " BOB"

. I suggest you go back a re-read your initial post before some here told you it is ok to be gay as long as you are in love.

"You asked " is it wrong to be gay?"

You were told you know it is.

because this topic is always a contentious one because a homosexual trolls and liberal christians. I made a refer to " Purelife ministries. " Being you are 17 no one should be given any advice and because you have made it known that you have homosexual attraction. Please speak to your Parents or local Pastor :).

You said in or asked a question in another post to a member:

"how loving someone can be evil. "

Well if your idea of love has been based on false narrative Like you were told by some here, it is wrong.

Your feelings do not change a wrong and make it right. Those who are telling you what you want to hear because you are young and impressionable are doing you no favors. They will answer to the Living god for That. They say they love you and lie to you? I ask you is that love?

Here's the thing, you can say the behavior that was displayed toward your friend was not okay and accept the person without accepting their behavior. But you see, in the context that you said it was saying there was nothing wrong with a person being gay and according to scripture its an abomination.
