Does anyone believe Satan still petitions God about messing us like he did Job? Did that change at the Cross of Calvary?
That's a question I've never considered, and never seen or heard asked. The Bible doesn't give us a clear answer on either question, but it does say this in 1 Peter 5:8, 'Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour'. From that (and drawing on a lot of material written in the last 30-40 years) I can say that the enemy still seeks to undermine Christians in any way he can. Jesus' death on the cross made the devil a defeated foe, and Christians have the authority to cast out any unclean spirits.
I'd guess no. That story seemed to suggest Satan tried using a tactic to show up God. And it failed. An enemy with strong tactics won't waste their time using tactics that don't work.Does anyone believe Satan still petitions God about messing us like he did Job? And Satan has had a long time, since then, to find more effective ways.
So obviously Satan does work hard to influence us, but I don't see it being so extreme.
Ty God bless(Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat)

“7 And there was war in Heaven (pertains to the “Mystery of God” being finished [10:7]): Michael and his Angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his Angels (this pertains to Satan and all the Angels who followed him being cast out of Heaven, which will take place at the midpoint of the Great Tribulation; why the Lord has allowed Satan and his minions to remain in Heaven all of this time, we aren’t told; it is a “Mystery,” but it will now be finished),Does anyone believe Satan still petitions God about messing us like he did Job? Ty. I was so scared of Revelations as a kid. I just knew I didn’t want to go to hell. I don’t remember exactly when I got saved...I was so young. I’m so glad we have a Savior. God bless you“7 And there was war in Heaven (pertains to the “Mystery of God” being finished [10:7]): Michael and his Angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his Angels (this pertains to Satan and all the Angels who followed him being cast out of Heaven, which will take place at the midpoint of the Great Tribulation; why the Lord has allowed Satan and his minions to remain in Heaven all of this time, we aren’t told; it is a “Mystery,” but it will now be finished),
8 And prevailed not (Satan will then be defeated; incidentally, it is not Satan who instigates this war, but rather the Archangel Michael at the Command of God); neither was their place found any more in Heaven (joins with the close of the Book of Revelation, where the Evil One has no more place on Earth as well, but rather the place of torment forever and ever [20:10]).
“9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan; (he is the “old serpent” because in his first appearance in the Bible, he chose to work through a serpent; thereby, he is what the curse caused the serpent to be, wryly subtle, and treacherous), which deceives the whole world (deception is his greatest weapon; he deceives, and is himself deceived): he was cast out into the earth, and his Angels were cast out with him (pronounces the beginning of the end for this evil monster).” Rev. 12

What did Jesus suffer on the cross? That's our calling. No pre-trib rapture hocus pocus.Does anyone believe Satan still petitions God about messing us like he did Job? Did that change at the Cross of Calvary?
Jesus suffered everything the ungodly (motivated by the devil) could throw at him and overcame all of it.What did Jesus suffer on the cross? That's our calling. No pre-trib rapture hocus pocus.
“That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.” 1 Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV 1900)Jesus suffered everything the ungodly (motivated by the devil) could throw at him and overcame all of it.
Yes, the early church (and other believers throughout history and in the future till Jesus comes) suffer as Jesus did,“That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.” 1 Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV 1900)
