He has constrained all under sin, in order that He may have mercy on all.
But once he has that mercy on a person why doesn't this competency that the new osas brags about not able to keep the believer in the pen? It can keep him saved, but it can't keep him in the pen?

I'll be back later...

I preach a Jesus who let's sheep leave the pen.
you preach a Jesus who doesn't know His sheep, who doesn't even know how many sheep He has, or even if He has any at all.
you preach a Jesus who just waits to the end of the day to see how many sheep He's got in His pen, shrugs and says, *
heh i guess these one are mine now*

that's what a trapper does. he doesn't own any sheep. he just opens up a cage door in the wilderness, and whatever is inside his cage when he goes back for it, he declares himself the possessor of.

Only after you have been trained in OSAS arts.
Scripture speaks for itself and plainly obvious.

It is NOSAS that came along to plant seeds of doubt, starts with saved does not really mean saved >> saved now means "quasi-saved"

HE DOES THE WORK(S) (by His Spirit) through His tools (HIS SHEEP)
Only after the believer does the works FIRST.

Every branch that bears fruit, he purges it that IT may bring forth more fruit.

What happened to that tree that didn’t bear fruit? He said to remove it, why does it waste this space in the ground (Luke 13:7).

But you think He did that despite the condition of believing.
You have the stain of Calvinism affecting your beliefs.
i believed these things because i read what Jesus said, before any man ever told them to me.
for your part, your hatred of a collection of '
isms' doesn't allow you to accept what the scripture says.

look at your track record in recent weeks speaking with me:
you misquoted Romans 7, contradicting it, saying the law causes sin.
you misquoted Matthew 18, saying the wicked servant asked for forgiveness, tho he didn't.
you turned upside down Hebrews 5-6, saying repentance from dead works is '
meat' and understanding of the person of God is 'milk'
and now you're rejecting John 6, 8 & 10, saying Christ is clueless about His own sheep and loses many of them, and you've denied His power to raise them to life, rejecting John 11.

i enjoy speaking with you, but we ought both to face the reality that you're the one who keeps trying to make arguments based on getting scripture wrong. trying to pin a label of some -ism that you connote as derogatory on me isn't going to do anything to further your positions, especially since you did so only by my quoting the words of Christ and taking them at face value for what they plainly say.

a Mediator had compassion and said, let it grow for another season. Luke 13:8
He promised to give it water and nutrients.

I believe you.
You will come to the conclusions that you have by not considering the whole context of scripture.

What scripture says doesn't allow me to accept a collection of 'isms'.

you misquoted Romans 7, contradicting it saying the law causes sin.

you turned upside down Hebrews 9-10, saying repentance from dead works is 'meat' and the person of God is 'milk'
and now you're rejecting John 6 & 10, saying Christ doesn't is clueless about His own sheep and loses many of them, and you've denied His power to raise them to life, rejecting John 7.
I could revisit all of these and show you that you are unfairly distorting what I said.

you're the one who keeps trying to make arguments based on getting scripture wrong.
I have nothing to hide. I can explain everything and very easily.
It is osas that has to struggle and strain under the weight of proving itself.
My gospel is so simple.
Osas is so complicated that you can't read scripture for what it says, and what really is plain has to be un-rightly divided from the whole context of the scriptures to mean what osas says it means.

Answer the question according to whichever osas you subscribe to:

Why does Jesus let sheep leave the pen?

For as great as a Shepherd as He is, why does he allow goats in his sheep pen?

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
why was there no fence in Eden around the trees in the midst, and no cherubs guarding the way until it became necessary to guard the way to the tree of life? why did He plant the tree about which He said, you must not eat, right there in the middle of the place?

the Enemy sows tares. Matthew 13:25. read your Bible. ;)

And if it bear fruit, well: AND IF NOT, then after that [being given the nutrients] thou shalt cut it down (Luke 13:9).

Every OSAS TRUE BELIEVER needs to read this.

I got this from my Pastor's Sermon on the Study in Titus this morning, and GOD opened my eyes to that which is still the SAME. Paul had people that were severe thorns in the flesh, contradicting almost everything he said, and oblivious that their TEACHING. was upsetting whole households; AND we have them here TOO. I will highlight in dark red the portions of these Scriptures, that are very similar, or identical to what we are experiencing here:

Titus 1:10-16 (NASB)
10 For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
11 who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain.
12 One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons."
13 This testimony is true. For this reason reprove them severely so that they may be sound in the faith,
14 not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
15 To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
16 They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.

Wow, that sounds EXACTLY like we have been going through. Paul had to deal with the SAME KIND OF PROBLEMS, and by our Peace and LOVE, as WE REPROVE THEM SEVERELY, some of them will know who is TEACHING THE TRUTH. It helps to know that PAUL had to deal with these kinds of False Teachers too.

Ecclesiastes 1:2 (ESV)
2 Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 (ESV)
9 What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.
