On a business trip I wanted to do something that I would never do in my real life at home. I decided to meet 10 men while on this trip. My rules were to get their name and have a brief conversation with them with no expectations that was it. So I went out of my comfort zone and introduced myself asked their name and then asked them if they were at the hotel for business or vacation.

I talked to all ages, some were married, some where not and I met some nice guys. About guy number 7 he was on a business trip same as I was and we hit it off and he took me out to dinner several times until the business trip was over. He even came to visit me once in Florida the business trip was in Maryland and he was from Louisiana. We lost touch after a while as the distance was a factor.

But the point is just be you and if you see someone that you like. Just introduce yourself to them and ask a simple question. Have a brief conversation with no expectations and you never know where it might go. I look back on my little experiment with pleasure and I am glad I went out of my comfort zone it was worth it.

well, i'm mos def not an expert in flirting, but i managed to get married. i can honestly say it was all the Lord's doing :ROFL::ROFL:

now i use all the cheesy pick up lines on my husband. pray for him. he needs the Lord's strength to deal with me and these pick up lines.:ROFL::ROFL:
I bet he smiles and loves every min of it.

Believe me I never did that at home in Florida but it was a challenge to myself in a different state and like I said I was glad I left my comfort zone as I met a really nice guy.

I suck a lot at talking to men... or flirting in general.
If the survival of the human race depended on me flirting, well SO-LONG HUMAN RACE.

Help? :D

(perhaps this can be a fun thread for us to exchange some general ideas?
It's all about the eyes...my friend in college taught me that.

As far as coming up with talking topics with a stranger that can be really tough. Use the scene your meeting them as a topic of discussion, what they do for a living, etc. Small talk so to speak but it's more about body language and less on what your talking about. However be careful not to complain, be negative, or judgmental bc that drives people away. Often anxiety can actually bring that out when a person might not normally act like that. I know I had to be careful about complaining or just talking too much when I'm nervous.

Hope that helps!

Some of these comments are hilarious! I didn’t read all of them but my advice is just be you. You want to attract those who like you for who you are. If there’s no chemistry that’s ok! We are not meant to get along with everyone and be with those that do. :)

at work, if I ever go back to work...I talk to men but depends some are chatty and some you have to draw out. I talk to women too. Im not discriminatory.

(not in terms of trying to chat people up, but just having something to say) If I couldnt talk to people of the opposite sex I would work in a girls school or a womens prison something like that lol. Maybe they are the same thing.

in my job as sometimes its just me an my work colleague or boss who is the opposite sex I have no choice. My boss is the chatty one so I dont really need to say much at all. He can talk the hind leg off a donkey.

some conversation topics.
what are you studying? what books are your reading at the moment?
or we do the daily quiz. The ladies call on the men who can usually answer the sports questions.

I just keep nodding politely whilst day dreaming of fishing on a secluded lake

with girls you should mention something about their crowning glory which is their hair, or eyes, or maybe their legs (if you can see them)
I can't imagine a decent Christian man going up to any woman to start a conversation about her legs.

A teenager might find it cute for a guy to come up to her and compliment her hair and eyes, but a grown woman?

just say to a man you have strong hands and go from there.
Where will that one work, in a bar? Go from there? To where exactly?

Guys who have good hands are handsome or handy.
Is that so? In all cases?

that's the spirit ;) PLEASE keep the ideas coming

Right right and men that fall for it - you deserve that :D
And for a funny story - my cousin broke down on the side of the road and a guy pulled over and ran over and she ran away scared he was gonna rape her and she fell over and down a hill and had to get the guy to help her out of some barb wires... :D She had a nack for wonderful stories...

Also you forgot one of your hobbies! Being half naked while doing pillow fights with your other scarcely dressed model friends. And also cheering at beer pong. OH and cleaning in High heels.
Rubbish
