I am very sorry and troubled reading your post. I apologise because I can not relate to losing faith. I believe that hell is a metaphor. There are no molecules in the spiritual realm.

Jesus was bodily resurrected.

He proved it; He ate fish :)

not that you will accept it, probably, but here are keys which answer your objection:
To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness:
that He might be just, and The Justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
(Romans 3:26)
future sin = unbelief in the Son. He has made a new covenant, the old waxing away

if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins
(John 8:24)
'all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men,' save blasphemy against the Spirit: Who testifies the Son is God having made propitiation for all who believe.

if Romans 3:25 says that Christ on the cross is only sufficient for sins of the past, then there is no salvation -- for there is 'no more sacrifice for sin' only a fearful anticipation of damnation.
all your sins were future when He gave His life for you. He didn't do a half-ass job; He finished the work. ;)

Thank you and Amen!!

It was a simple question that I aksed him and he answered. Unlike you, who when asked if your previous avatar name was 'Ralph' was like pulling teeth to get you to answer the question. It matters because he was more open about what he truly believed when he was DJ2, especially in regards to water baptism.
Nobody owes you any explanations about who they are.
Stop with the shaming.
Remember what really counts in Christianity.
And it ain't osas.

It's called choosing to not believe.
People choose to not believe things they are shown to be true all the time.
That's what every person does who rejects the call of God.
Jesus called it 'inability to believe'

But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep
(John 10:26)
Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”
These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.
(John 12:39-41)

curious as to how you figure this?

How is that shaming? Just be open and honest about who you are or were. What really counts in Christianity is faith, hope and love and it ain't relentlessly attacking osas.

That's AFTER they first choose to not believe.
Then, eventually, God turns the person who rejects grace over to his unbelief so that he can't ever believe.

Not a chance.
You guys are bullies.
You just keep wondering......as if you really have too. <roll eyes>

Osas has to be taken out of the way so you and others can see what really counts and live it, instead of taking false comfort in your so-called knowledge, as if knowledge shows you know God, which it does not.

And I reject it because it's quite clear that you can stop trusting in what God has shown you to be true about the gospel.

it is quite clear that you can choose to reject what He has shown to be true: to wit, that if He has saved you, that salvation is eternal and immutable -- nothing being able to stay His hand. He has proven time and time again that '
when we are faithless, He is faithful' -- and you can certainly choose not to believe He is.

but if you do so, have you ever trusted Him at all? or just '
come near' without taking hold?

I showed where all of this has to be understood in the whole counsel of the Bible.

That's AFTER they first choose to not believe.
Isaiah spoke this centuries before anyone who lived during Christ's appearing were born.
His crucifixion was a certain conclusion to His ministry -- not an '
only if they reject Him' -- it has been prophesied from the beginning, even Genesis 3, even Genesis 1, if we perceive it. slain from the foundation.

i recognize that it is quite unpalatable to human vanity that God did these things. that is because of how extraordinarily and clearly humbling it is, that He redeems us through mercy, not through merit. man forever seeks something to boast of, to say, 'i did this' -- 'i was clever, i chose right'
the reality is that our wicked hearts choose wrong, every. single. time.
yet He died for the ungodly -- it is not the righteous who need a saviour, and 'there is no one righteous, not one'

That's why we should hold fast to the faith God has graciously given to us in order for us to trust in Him.
if He has indeed given us this faith, it wasn't us who created in ourselves by an action of choice: it was He who chose us, to reveal Himself to, to reveal Himself in. i can't crawl into someone's womb and choose them to be my mother.

Faith comes from God.
Agreed.
HE gave all men a measure of faith, according to scripture, men are without excuse.
The responsibility to walk according to the faith God has given comes from you.
1Cor 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
1Cor 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

He does the "work" through men by Holy Spirit...and the increase of faith comes from Him.

For those who are His, nothing we can do. Except Romans 12 1-2 as we walk through this life, we will stumble in some form or another.....1 John 1:9.

God Bless..

I showed where all of this has to be understood in the whole counsel of the Bible.

certainly it does. including the passages that tell us He will not lose any of His sheep, not even one, that all His sheep hear and believe, and that the goats cannot believe because they are not His sheep. including the passages which tell us very clearly that we are not able to redeem ourselves at all, and that no one knows Him except those He chooses to reveal Himself to.

We all error in life. FACT.

The Lord instructed Peter on forgiveness, Why would one think that the Lord would work outside of His own instruction?

Matt 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Matt 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

490 times a day....

How much more does God forgive those Who are His???

Once a son Always a son...

God Bless...
