I would think there are a number of factors. One is, people join and forget they even did so. It is postulated that people's attention spans have been affected by the whole online interaction thing. Or they forget their password, and maybe have multiple accounts they are unaware of. Or they join and make a few posts and are banned, and/or lose interest, and move on. Not all who join are Christians, or Protestants. Some do not like what they see in the BDF. Perhaps they are not used to how some people behave online behind their monitors. Too many variables to say for sure why people join and do not stick around, but it is obvious that many make one post and that is all. Maybe some of them go strictly to chat. That is another possibility...
