By grandson turned 5 last week. I have to wait until I can celebrate it with him, feel your pain!

It is starting to get warm in Ohio.. Cant really enjoy it, But can;t complain.. I have a property out east we are headed there tonight, at least I get to go to a place where I have 8 acres to roam!

I have no hysteria, I do understand that epidemics and pandemics are real.

I do understand the data and the data is clear, there is no dilemma between the economy and the virus, no mitigating measures means a strained, possibly ruined economy and many deaths and lingering illness because this virus has long term effects on the body.

Bearing down hard is the only way for the economy to survive and for deaths to be minimized, and really it should have happened a lot sooner.

I find it interesting you do not address the entire pressure this places on the health care system, front line workers, the fact that people would be left to die on the streets like China or in their homes like in Italy and what has been clearly experienced in places like Italy... unless you think that it all fake news?

And death by this virus is not pretty as people are gasping for breath until their heart gives out... the virus attacks the entire lung.

Most of it out of context, does not refute examine why those numbers were off ... just makes blanket statements like this.....

Dr Anthony Fauci told Jon Karl on ABC that the US could expect up to 21 million coronavirus hospitalizations and up to 1.7 million coronavirus deaths.

And it is well known this a projection based on no mitigation with what was known by the Imperial College in London at the time about the virus. That is reckless reporting because most people, sadly most will not fact check and go back and read the actual report.

I am familiar with all the other situations. If people did what they were told then their rights would not be infringed.

Sadly, we who are responding appropriately given a pandemic as they did in 1917 will have to suffer because some people do not get it just like 1917... yup history repeats and interestingly enough once it was over back then the churches opened back up.

I am complying completely......best case scenario, if nothing else...these mitigation efforts will help when the eventual surge comes....but even with them I expect our hosptials are going to be overwhelmed. If Toronto gets hit with 20 cm of snow its a near disaster....even 10 or 15 cm is bad.

Hate to say it bro but your out of line, you want to risk your family and go,out, that’s on you, but to say there is no threat, we’ll tell that to the 100 people,who,died in Ohio in just a few short weeks, or the 3000 people who have died in NY, the nursing home here in Ohio where 20 people (died) and I know California and Washington state have suffered the same fates,

you want to go out feel free, but know your supposed to be representing Christ, and people are looking at church people like you who think it is ok, putting your lives and others at risk, and just proclaim what many think, that Gods people do not care,

back ( for a minute) to the topic of this thread, reopening America-\

it has become very clear in the last 10 days or so that some areas of the country are way worse off than others,

at this point, I see no way that a general, nationwide reopening can happen, as the hard hit areas, even if they improve, can have a relapse.

here is a local example - the city of atlanta ( the metro area) has more cases than the neighboring states of ala. and s.c.

my town ( Athens ga) is about 70 miles northeast of atlanta . ( we have a population of 90,000).

we locked down 2 and 1/2 weeks ago, we have 59 cases.

so, clearly, we can start to reopen long before them, but a lot of folks from here travel up there for business, and also, the university of ga, is here, with most of the students being from metro atl.

luckily, they were on spring break when things started to go downhill, they were told when they returned to move out of their dorms and go home. many of them just took a few things and left the rest.

they will all have to come back and move stuff in the next few months.

as you can see, just this little tiny piece of America has a lot of things to figure out, like how to handle the students not bringing the virus back into town if atlanta is still hot ( which it could very well be) 8-10 weeks from now.

the reopening is going to a mess, and that is a understatement.

I am complying with all the rules....however that point about obeying the laws of gov't, that responsibilty has limitations. In Roman times Christians were told to swear against their Lord and Saviour.....and some did, they obeyed. Remember, Jesus Himself prioritzed even the Commandments placing Love the Lord your God and Love your neighbor above the rest....

The true and correct answer to this lies in what all freedom-loving Americans should be doing on a continual basis - before a threatening situation arises. And, the form of 'rise up' must be something different than what the words mean to most who will hear/read it. The wrong kind done the wrong way will only get people thrown into prison camps. But, the right kind done the right way can do a lot of good.

Before you can do much real good, a sufficient number of like-minded honorable intelligent individuals in collaboration with a common goal - having clear and secure communications among all of them - must work together to provide information and leadership to others in a way that expands and grows the group until there are enough of them to be able to effect the proper change.

Our "chance" has been all along --- and, hopefully, will still be with us for some time to come...
