I can see the need to downplay it but as well I can see the need to upplay it, be on the safe side and not just shrug it off as aww man just another flu virus no biggie that is the worse thing to do dealing with a unknown virus and what it’s going to do or not do. the flu virus hasn’t mutated into a major killer it kills no doubt but with a new virus among humans there is no data it’s being built right now

nurse actresses, so I guess you read of accounts of that has happened, I’m not talking about hear say, got any proof what you say is happening or is that all in the mind?

I would like to see your info on the using nurse actresses, fake pictures etc. is there a movie set or something?

I have heard of a news media showing empty shelves yet at that time early on and that wasn’t right at all I will agree a couple of news outlets are about ratings no matter what but not all of them.

that bogus setup was done awhile ago but the funny thing is I see it today in the stores it isn’t bogus today.
People enter some kind of delusional world these days, this is the after effects of extreme conspiracy theories

Obviously no children at all have been vaccinated for cornovirus, and yet Florida has 0 deaths from covid-19.....there's only been one reported pediatric death worldwide from coronavirus.

Your data is incorrect, Florida has had 71 deaths and there have been more than one pediatric deaths.

News just reported that NY'ers are dying at the rate of 10 per hour.

NY is a center of world commerce.

Florida has had 13 pediatric deaths from influenza according to floridahealth.gov....trying to get the total number of flu cases for the state but its hard.....all the focus is on coronavirus, so 13 infants dying of the flu isn't even newsworthy, I guess the media figures those lives don't matter.

Everyone is focused on covid19 because of the rate it is spreading in spite of the draconian actions taken to stop it. The real question should be "Where would we be if nothing had been done?"

Think about it. How many people do you come in contact during the 3 days that the flu is contagious? How many do you come in contact during the 14 or more days that the covid19 is contagious?

I have been around people with the flu but I don’t get it very often, might be because it isn’t as contagious as the coronavirus which is turning out to be one person can infect multiple people, maybe even 6 feet apart isn’t enough.

Thank you!!

When one thinks of the epidemiology of this virus being the same as seasonal flu, your insightful words fall on deaf ears sadly.

Strangely the focus is the "media" left or right rather than basic science and math.

One way to know how dangerous this is, Italy has lost around 50 doctors in the last two months, how many flu patients in the same time frame that the flu virus has taken the life of the people treating a flu infection of the person.

Where would we be if nothing was done? That is the question....and without a reliable mortality rate its impossible to say. Right now everyone is repeataing the 1.6% mortality rate...okay, lets go with that.

If 1.6% is accurate, and we use Italy as our benchmark, then 100s of thousands of people are going to die. You don't need an advanced degree in statistical analysis to figure that out, just simple math skills. During one week in January Italy almost 500K flu infections were recorded in Italy, along with 240 deaths.

100s of thousands
Where is the math on this?

What number did you use?

The mortality rate using your numbers is .048%. Applying that number to the 184,183 cases we have now have, we should only have a total of 88 deaths. That is a far cry from the 3,721 deaths that we have today.

Where would we be if the president had treated covid19 as the flu?

I wonder where we would be if the impeachment trial didn’t happen in January, that had an effect the democrats had the media and everyone focus on something that wasn’t important at that time and as what is happening now that started at the same time. I’m really disappointed about that, someone in their party should have been screaming hey there is a virus on the loose let’s put this on hold and keep and eye on this new unknown virus. I don’t know what happen in China but they did report it the WHO as a serious issue but America was watching the impeachment trial the blame for that is the dems then media.

This might help those who are feeling high levels of anxiety and stress over Coronavirus, I've fact checked what I can in this video and everything that I've come accross is accurate....its from the United Kingdom where the death toll was initially forecast to be around a couple hundred thousand, and now that's being dialed way way way down to something around 20,000....

Please watch and comment:

Hmm not really what is accurate about a forecast rather small or large until there is a vaccine who really knows what it’s going to do, it’s been a few months. what happens in a year and the vaccine isn’t as effective like the flu it mutates into other strains, could be the fifth virus floating around that cant be contained for many years to come.

Yesterday wasn’t good.

worldmeter.org

March 31
3009 new cases and 381 new deaths in the United Kingdom, including a 13-year-old boy, the youngest victim in the UK

how many deaths per day of the flu in the U.K.

huh

In the UK it is estimated that an average of 600 people a year die from complications of flu. guess it will be a shocker the U.S. has 50,000

One thing I have yet to hear

covid19 is new. NO one has antibodies, that’s why it is so deadly. It is running the course of many of these flue type diseases which have never been introduced,

people are dying of a dry pneumonia, a few who have spoken up say it is like drowning in a desert,

since their are no antibodies, we have no immune system, to attack this strain and kill it or at the least. Make it less deadly, like we do the regular flue, and some Can not fight it off,

the news media is letting us down, with blaming people for political gain, or spreading continued hate against our president and not giving actual facts, it is sickening

i think people forget already, when this threat was beginning, and really starting to be serious, our government was in the midst of trying to impeach our president, because of this, congress could not focus on the people, their focus centered on a hateful, war against our president, because they hate him,

if we want to blame someone, let’s blame people who do not really care about the American people, the only thing they care about is their own selfish needs, including people who refuse to stay home, and put themselves and others at risk by going out in the public just because they can, ( I will add churches who are defying orders and still meeting, yur giving God a bad name,)

we need to focus on faith now, we do not know what our future holds, we do not know if God will allow healing, or prevent loved ones from getting this disease and dying, about all we do know, is this is not the end, jesus said it will get worse this is just the beginning of sorrows.

we need to stop being selfish and get the word out people need Christ now more than ever,

Here in Canada a huge component of the death totals is coming from Nursing Homes....aged people with underlying health issues. How many of them would have died regardless of the coronavirus is an open question of course, but obviously they're all pretty much at the end of their lives.

Those who are young and otherwise healthy....the statistics so far indicate that contracting coronavirus in the overwhelming majority of cases is not fatal....same as with the seasonal flu.

the flu is more problematic for the young rather old from what I have read, Canada has low cases so far hopefully it doesn’t grow in the coming weeks and months. data being collected while the event is unfolding, hardly can be called contracting.
