John the Baptist repeated stated purpose: PREPARE the way of the Lord (Isa 40:1-11, Ps 85:9-14, Mal 3:1, Matt 11:10, Mk 1:2)

Mosaic law required PREPATATION/purifying/washing/instructions on many occasions: Ex 39:4, 30:19-21, 40:12; Lev 6:27, Lev 13:54, 13:58, 14:8-9, 15:16, 16:4, 16:24, 22:6.

KJ Bible
Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
(NOTE: John is sent to preach the baptism of repentance. To PREPARE the people to believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. Through whom the remission/pardon of sin would be realized)

5 On hearing this they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus.
(NOTE: These Jews has been 1st baptized John pre-sin payment, in PREPATATION to meet Jesus. Here thay are baptized again post-sin payment, in Jesus name for the remission/pardon of sin)

Amplified Bible
Acts 19:
4 Paul said, “John performed a baptism of repentance, continually telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, [to confidently accept and joyfully believe] in Jesus [the Messiah and Savior].
(NOTE: The parenthetical emphasis in vrs 4 & 5 are placed by the Amplified Bible & not my own)

5 After hearing this, they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus.
(NOTE: These Jews has been 1st baptized John, pre-sin payment in PREPATATION to meet Jesus. Here thay are baptized again post-sin payment, in Jesus name for the remission/pardon of sin)

Jacob receives PREPATATION instructions before meeting the Lord at the alter
Gen 35:
1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God,

2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
(NOTE: Jacob was to PREPARE/wash-up & change his cloths before meeting the Lord at the alter)

The Lord gives Moses PREPATATION instructions before meeting the Lord on the morrow.
Ex 19:
9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.
(NOTE: The Lord tells Moses I will appear is a thick cloud & speak to the people)

10 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
(NOTE: In preparation of meeting me tomorrow, have the people clean-up)

14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
(NOTE: Moses carries out the Lords PREPATATION instructions)

John's baptism of repentance: Change your mind/direction/course towards God. Purify/wash/clean yourself-up outside & inside in PREPARATION of meeting your long time promised Messiah. Who will remiss/forgive/padron your sins.

Scripture proclaims, salvation is 1st to the Jew then to the gentile (Rom 1:16, 2:9 & 10)

Acts 13:24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
(NOTE: John the Baptist is sent to preach, the baptism of repentance to All the People of ISRAEL. To Prepare the way (PEOPLE) for the coming LORD. Through whom remission/pardon of sin would be realized)

Acts 2:38 is 100% Jewish doctrine (reread Acts 13:24 above) preached to ALL the people of ISRAEL.

Peter is on the Temple Mt during the 1st post resurrection Pentecost/Shavuot, a mandatory pilgramiage festival. Every male Jew of age was required to travel to the Temple Mt every Passover, Pentecost & Tabernacles

Peter's is speaking to Temple Mt full (millions?) of JEWS:
Acts 2:
5 and there were DWELLING at Jerusalem JEWS,

14 Peter said, YE MEN OF JUDAEA

22 YE MEN OF ISRAEL, hear these words;

36 let ALL the HOUSE OF ISRAEL know, that God made that same Jesus, WHOM YE CRUCIFIED, both Lord and Christ.

Context: REPENT from UNBELIEF/REJECTING (not everyday personal sins) & killing their long promised Messiah/Christ.

KJV Dictionary Definition REMISSION: Forgiveness; pardon; that is, the giving up of the punishment due to a crime; as the remission of sins. Matt. 26. Heb. 9.

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
(NOTE: Without Christ's shed blood there is NO Remission/Pardon for sins.)

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
(NOTE: It's Belief/faith in Christ's sinless shed blood that provides the Remission/Pardon for sins. NOT the act of repentance or water baptism)

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw """all""" men unto me.
(NOTE: Jesus was in fact lifted up on a cross & will draw "ALL" to Himself)

John 16:
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
(NOTE: The Holy Spirit will reprove/expose/convict everyone of, sins? NO of "SIN" singular.)

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
(NOTE: The only SIN that condemns one to eternal seprtation/damnation UNBELIEF, rejecting Christ's sin atoning sacrifice until lifes end.)

John 8:24 Jesus said; ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

The only unpardonable sin is to remain in "UNBELIEF/Rejecting Christ's sin atoning sacrifice until you die. There is no pardon/remission for a person who dies in "UNBELIEF".

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(NOTE: Anyone that places their BELIEF on/in Christ WILL NOT be CONDEMNED. Anyone that REJECTS & remains in UNBELIEF WILL is already & will be CONDEMNED)

"UNBELIEF" at life's end is the only UNFORGIVEABLE sin.

Salvation is 1st to the Jew then to the gentile (Rom 1:16, 2:9 & 10)

There were NO gentiles baptised via the indwelling Holy Spirit on the Temple Mt on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2.

The door to salvation isn't opened to Gentiles until 7 yrs after Pentecost. When the Lord sends Peter to Cornelius house (Acts 10). Where gentiles received the indwelling baptism with the Holy Spirit. Just as the Jews had received 7 years earlier on the 1st post resurrection Pentecost.

BTW: Christ & Christ alone (Matt 3:11, Mk 1:8, Acts 1:5, John 3:5) preforms the covenantal baptism - spiritual/circumcision (Col 2:11, Deut 30:6, Rom 2:29) sealing of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13, 2 Cor 1:22 & Eph 4:30).

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision """made without hands""", in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
(NOTE: The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a SPIRITUAL circumcison/covenant done without hands)

Deut 30:6 (A) the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart,

Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
(NOTE: Reread Deut above, the Lord will circumcise your heart)

The gospel of Jesus Christ thats applicable for the Church/Body of Christ, by which we are saved is:

Christ DIED for your sins (paying sins required wage) was BURIED (proof Jesus died) & was RESURRECTED from the grave (Fathers receipt, sins required payment received & accepted. See 1 Cor 15:1-4)

Salvation is siezed/accesed thru Faith/belief & Faith/belief alone. Placed in the faithful, obedient, sin redemptive work & resurrection of Jesus the Christ. (Eph 2:8, Acts 5:1-2, Rom 10:9-10, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13)

Water baptism doesn't remiss/pardon/forgive sin, repentance doesn't remiss/pardon sin, obedience doesn't remiss/pardon sin, sabbath observance doesn't remiss/pardon sin etc, etc, etc.

Acts 2:38 is 100% Jewish doctrine (reread Acts 13:24 above) preached to ALL the people of ISRAEL.
That is PATENTLY FALSE. And here is why.

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the Church daily such as should be saved. (Acts 2:47)

The Church (redeemed Jews and Gentiles in one Body) came into existence on the Day of Pentecost. And the Lord then added redeemed souls to the Church daily. A few days later, the same Peter who preached to the Jews in Jerusalem also preached to the Gentiles in Caesarea. And they also received the gift of the Holy Ghost, spoke in tongues, and were baptized as believers (see Acts 10).

Posted scripture disagree with your PATENTLY FALSE reply.

You seem to have no clue about spiritual things since you are mostly focused on demons.
Nehemiah6
I made no mention of demons in this blog or any post I've made on this site. Your typical ad hominem replies are unnecessary.

This blog included these verses twice: Salvation was 1st to the jew then to the gentile: Rom 1:16, 2:9 & 10.

Pre resurrection
Jews (to include the Lord himself Matt 15:26) often referred to Gentiles as unclean "dogs". (See Matt 7:6; Lk 16:21)

Gentiles were considered basturds outside of covenant seals, so ungodly, simply being in their presence could make a Jew ceremonially unclean

(Jn 18:28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
(NOTE: The Jews wouldn't even walk into the Roman/gentile judgment hall, lest they should be defiled/become unclean. They wouldn't enter because they wanted to eat the passover meal on the next day. There was a 7 day ritual cleasning period that had to be honored once deemed unclean. Contact with a dead person or animal, a woman during her menstrual cycle etc.

Post resurrection
Acts 10:28 Peter said unto them, Ye know how that it is an ""unlawful"" thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean
(NOTE: Peter tells Cornelius a gentile. IT'S UNLAWFUL for a Jew to keep company with a gentile)

Acts 10:45 And """they of the circumcision which believed were astonished""", as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
NOTE: This is aprox 7 yrs after the Temple Mt where JEWS only had received the gift of the indewlling H/S. The Jews here (Peter included) that witnessed the gentiles receiving the gift of the indwelling H/S were ASTONISHED. If gentiles had received the H/S at Pentecost, WHY, were the Jews (Peter included) ASTONISHED here?)

Acts chapter 21:11-15 Paul is warned via the Holy Spirit, DON'T go to Jerusalem, you'll wind up in chains. Paul chooses to go anyway.

Acts 21:18-20 Paul meets James & the elders. Tells them about his ministry to the gentiles. They accept Pauls words & praises God.

It gets ugly for Paul from here:
Acts 21:28-36 Jews that were aware of Pauls dealings with gentiles, throw Paul out of the Temple, begin to beat him to death. Roman soliders show up & pull Paul from the mob.

Acts 21:37- Acts 22:20: Paul reasons with the Roman in charge & is allowed to address the crowd. They listen to Paul's conversion testimony until verse 21

Acts 22:21 Paul say's he was sent to proclaim God to the gentiles & the Jewish crowd once again goes ballistic & tries to KILL Paul.
(NOTE: Paul mentions gentiles & the Jews seek to KILL him again)

I find it unrealistic that a Temple Mt full of devote law keeping Jews just stood & remained peaceful while a bunch of unclean/gentiles/dogs are speaking were speaking in tongues?

NOTE: There were NO gentiles on Mt Sinai when Moses gives the law. John the Baptist, baptized NO gentiles in the wilderness. There were NO gentiles baptised via the Holy Spirit on the Temple Mt during Pentecost in Acts 2.

Nehemiah6, I agree the Church (God's Spirit indwelling man) is born during Acts 2 Pentecost. However, it's not until years later that gentiles are grafted in & the Body of Christ is revealed.

Repent & be Baptized is not the applicable gospel for today's Body of Christ.

The applicable gospel for today's Body of Christ is found here:

1 Corinthians 15:
1 Moreover, brethren, """I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you""", which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
(NOTE: """I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you""")

2 """By which also ye are saved""", if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(NOTE: """By which also ye are saved""")

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how """that Christ died for our sins""" according to the scriptures;
(NOTE: """that Christ died for our sins"""

4 And """that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day""" according to the scriptures:
(NOTE: """that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day"""

Verse 1-4 Recap: """I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you""" """By which also ye are saved""" is """that Christ died for our sins""" """that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day""")

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^The gospel of Jesus Christ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Many people invariably tie the word REPENTANCE to everyday sins & the remission thereof. There are many OT verses where a SINLESS God repents. Gen 6:6-7, Deut 32:36, Jud 2:18, 1 Sam 15:11 to name a few. The only sin one needs 1st repent from is UNBELIEF.

Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
(NOTE: The article TOWARD. Repentance TOWARD God & faith TOWARD Jesus sin payment & resurrestion.)

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them which heard the word.
(NOTE: They Believed (vs43) & as Peter spoke (vs44) The Holy Spirit fell on them (vs45). NO REPENTANCE of anykind happened here, No water baptism, No circumcision, they didn't to bring a sin sacrifice to the Temple etc)

Thru faith & faith alone, placed in Jesus redemptive work & resurrection, these gentiles were given/received the baptism/gift OF & were eternally sealed BY the indwelling Holy Spirit (vs45)

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life
(NOTE: God has GRANTED the gentiles repentance. Any person that believes they can conquer their sin nature (without Gods help) is mistaken 1 Jn 1:8)

Rom 1:5 "Through him we received grace" & apostleship "to call all the Gentiles to the obedience" "that comes from faith" for his name’s sake.
(NOTE: Gentiles are called to FAITH, which leads to obedience, repentance & Godly works)

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches """of his goodness""" and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that """the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance"""?
(NOTE: It's thru the GOODNESS of GOD not thru OUR OWN great work of repentance, obedience, self-control, law keeping etc. That we change our thinking/course. It's the indwelling Holy Spirit that leads believers to change our thinking outlook/direction).

Rom 16:26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, ""so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience"" ""that comes from faith""
(NOTE: Gentiles are brought to obedience/repentance/godly living thru Faith)

Additional context:
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed "ye were sealed with that holy Spirit'' of promise
(QUESTION: After you repented & were water baptized? NO! After you heard & BELIEVED about Jesus sin atoning payment & resurrection. Then by Jesus (Matt 3:11, Mk 1:8, Lk 3:16), you were <PAST TENSE > SEALED with God's promised gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Lk 24:49, Acts 1:4 & 5, 2:33)

Romans 10:
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(QUESTION: See any repent or water baptism requirements here? NO! Confrss Jesus as Lord & BELIEVE God raised him from the grave.)

And finally:
Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them which heard the word.
(NOTE: They Believed (vs43) & as Peter spoke (vs44) The Holy Spirit fell on them (vs45). NO REPENTANCE of any kind here, No water baptism, No circumcision, they brought no sin sacrifice to the Temple, No law keeping etc.)

Jesus invoked 2 NT ordinances: Water baptism & the Lords Supper. It's my position, after conversion via God's gift of the Holy Spirit, EVERY believer should partake in both.

Nehemiah6,
I've had other unfruitful discussions with you. Remember Judas & Matthias? Scripture records Acts 1:26 Matthias was numbered with the eleven apostles. And to this day you continue to claim God breathed scripture (KJV that you claim provides the true word of God) is wrong.

I believe posted scripture in the OP & this post support my position in each case. This will be my last reply to you on this matter. Best wishes, FD.
