- I worship on Sunday because I do not have work.
- Historically the early church met on the 1st of the week known as the Lord's Day. Because of the 3 day event that led to the resurrection. John 20:1 The Empty Tomb
20 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
- In Hebrews 4:3-73 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,
“So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’” And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. 4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”
6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience, 7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”
The Sabbath has a deeper spiritual meaning other than a legalistic practice. We find our rest in Christ Jesus. A daily reliance through our faith in the promise rest to come.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
The place of worship is no longer the building. If we are the temple of the Holy Spirit then every day is to worship the Lord.

Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”
Matthew 12:6-8
6 I tell you that
something greater than the temple is here. 7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I
desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. 8
For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

Romans 14:5-6
5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike.
You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. 6 Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.
You must understand what Christ's fulfillment of the law of the Prophets meant. He was to fulfill the moral and ceremonial needs by his life and sacrificial death. Thus a new covenant came into order not to do away or abolish the old but fulfilled it.
Galatians 6:2
2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
We are now under the law of Christ which hinges of faith in Christ. Grace comes through faith in Christ alone and not by works as in you must worship on this day or be killed as the OT commanded.

Does God get tired and need rest? Of course not. The Sabbath was only made for man because man needs rest. This is why still teach the Biblical truths within the OT because they are still the Word of God, Holy, and true. With living words. Words for a certain purpose to the ancient Israelites but still speaks wisdom into our lives today. We still need a day of rest.
Back to Paul. If you view one day more holy than another then do what's right in your conscience but dont cause others to stumble on such matters. Dont be a legalist. Become what you need to be to help save the souls of others.
