I see alot of mean women on these sites saying to leave him. My personal feeling is there is no reason to select a male gyn when there are many qualified female gyn's that are perfectly capable of this private exam. Dont expect me to just deal with it, it is not necessary to go to a man and interject him into our intimacy. As an alpha male, I do not want any other man certifying that my wifes vagina is perfect. It has nothing to do with her health, this is an elected exam for which the female should respect her intimacy in her relationship. If you refuse a male doctor and ask for a female, the male doctor feels rejected because he feels he has earned the right to violate her because of his schooling. There is a reason we have male female bathrooms, etc. I find it comical how the females defend the male gyn. He is married, he is a nice guy, he sees thousands of women a year, he has a family, my friend goes to him, the exam isn't sexual. Why not just spend the next year looking for a nice, professional female for your next exam? Why argue over another man penetrating your wife while he visually and manually examines her entire body while I wait outside. I am not supposed to be jealous? It is just wrong. Why wont they let the husband in the room? He could certainly give the doctor more input on any issues the husband has observed.
Leave the male gyn to the needy or single women. No harm, no foul. Dont touch my wife there. She has made a promise to me before God.
Hello and welcome to CC...
FYI, the post to which you're responding is seven years old. The last post on this thread is almost three years old. While it's not inherently wrong to bring up an old thread, it's something generally avoided. The date of previous posts are in the upper-left of the post.

Also, it's good to break up your post with white spaces; it will be easier to read that way. "Walls of text" often get ignored. :)

Some thread...

It's a personal decision for the woman... I know women who will only go to a woman and I know women who will not go to a woman at all... their reason is unanimously "every woman doctor they ever tried is rough and inconsiderate in their dealings with the delicate parts... and the men doctors are more careful and and considerate in their examinations. IF a woman is of the latter persuasion and her husband wants her to go to a woman doctor regardless... I think she ought to be entitled to crack him in his delicate parts for every "ouch" she suffered at the hands of the woman doctor he insisted upon. ;)Men are more thorough and gentle. Humm, wonder why? Thought this was just a simple exam, the woman doctor is just doing the exam as needed, the male is taking his time. ]

Interesting! I've come across many women who said that they had to undress in front of the doctor or was examined without a nurse being there. And even if a nurse is there, a nurse doesn't know what the doctor is thinking. Doctors are men first and job second. You can call me what you like, if you have to resort to name calling then it only shows that the truth offends you.
I have had 3 doctor friends, all perverts.

Mama's gyn was always a male. All our children were delivered by a male. Her female surgeries were performed by a male. Today her urologist is a male. I have no problem with HER choice, and I will be with her during any exam that she asks me to be there for.

I wouldn't want to be any doctor, male or female, who does anything improper. Mama won't put up with any "funny" business.

If you are a husband, how would you feel about your wife being examined by a male gynecologist? Would you prefer her to see a female doctor for personal exams? How do you feel about this?
Hi there. Awesome question. Let's get to it.

Anywhere from Adam and Eve "realizing" their nakedness, Rebecca covering here face from approaching Issac, to Paul strongly emphasizing women to be modest and Jesus telling us not even to "lust" (think about another person in that manner), it is very simply for a wise man to see that even seeing the same sex naked is an issue, how much more than to see the opposite sex if she is not your wife (or kids for parenting purposes).

But this is a great question. Short answer is, that if you have faith and you choose to keep your purity and more selflessly, the purity of others, you will find a doctor of the same sex. You will pray and act in such a manner to honour God. Now, you did all you can and your health/life is at risk? Then of course your life matters more and therefore you can absolutely see a male doctor. Again, everything comes down to intention. If your intent is to treat it lightly and just pick the first doctor, God will record how you treated yourself and the other person. Professional or not, we all are human, we are all 'tempted' and we as Christians do not "place stumbling blocks" in front of others.

Based on this, this question could follow. Should a Christian take a job where he will encounter the opposite sex? This takes even more faith. In short, we need work for money to survive and Paul sets the best example as he made enough to make ends meet and help his congregations. Therefore, do I need a "high end job" where I risk seeing the opposite sex and disappointing my wife/husband?

I am thinking this thread should continue to be ignored..... OH Brother, aren't there more important things to talk about.
The entire fall of humanity lie between the sanctity of the relationship between a male and a female. In 2020, do you see how sad it is too see the divorce rate higher than ever in history? Adult video in the Billions and children who suffer massive consequences? Why do you think Adultery gets the penalty of stoning/death? Why do you think Judah's children both were killed for "wasting seed"? Why did Jesus say "even if you lust after another"? Why did Paul say "cover your hair"? It does not take a wise person to understand that "family purity" is so important.

One thing I do my best to explain is that women don't think like men, thank God! Women are much more elevated and refined then men. So one thing women don't see as big of an issue as men, is "physical images". If you really don't think I am right, they tell me why every music video, all the adult industry is focused on "the female body"?

So yes, this is a very delicate situation BUT if one does all they can, God is happy with the child who gives it all his effort (yet might have to fail), they one who just "shrugs their shoulders" and this point is very critical.

How many doctor, nurse and dental stories have you heard where men do inappropriate acts with women? Is it the man's fault yes, but again he has a higher sexual drive. Does that mean a women should throw an unnecessary stumbling block?

Note: All Jewish women, only have women nurses help during a delivery. Not even the man can be there, for it is inappropriate for a male to see this moment.

Covering on a woman's head passage very misunderstood. ... but I will not go down that path.

I understand what you are saying to some extent.
It seems pretty simple to me if a husband is uncomfortable with it he can discuss it with his wife.

What you are suggesting is that no man in medical school learn about delivering babies or know anything about female anatomy ... and when a woman goes into labor on a plane a male doctor would not be allowed to deliver.
That is just not reasonable to me.

As well, I do trust that there are some male doctors who are able to deliver babies without it being a sexual experience for them... but then you right I am not a male so I do not know.

Hi there. I appreciate your responses! I hope all is well with you and your family during this time.

Many cultures up until the middle of the 1940's all understood that women and men had to be very modest. If you see many cultures had womens hair covered and her figure was well covered. I bring this point just to show how many cultures how important this is for family purity. This is not to say there are cultures that do this to control women. Now Jews have a Biblical command from God that women must be covered up and their hair fully covered and it is derived from Numbers 5:18 and all of chapter 5 is devoted to "adultery". This commandment can seem "imposing" especially like you understood, that women don't think like men. Men see a pretty figure and they simply are driven to her attraction (hence the industry). But here is the perspective of Jews.

If you have a Gem, do you walk downtown and show it to the world? Or do you protect it? Again I know women don't see it, but 99/100 times if a man lays eyes, on you, he is thinking immorally. Men are just prone to this. This is why men have a very hard time holding a relationship and now that "everything is permissible", men have a free pass to be animals without any consequences, leaving many women broken and hurt and it leads to the product of things like Feminism etc (which I understand).

No, if women don't want to deliver babies and there is a shortage, then yes a women can certainly go to the male doctor but my point is, you still have an option, a choice to see how much effort you place into planning for a female doctor. This applies to anything where there is opposite sex interaction.

Billy Graham lived by this, "I never will be alone in a room with another woman but my wife". Amazing! Many Jews don't know anything about Billy Graham, but they all know this aspect of him because Jews are commanded not to do this. If you were his wife, how safe and comfortable would you feel? If I were a woman I would hug him and never let go just for that point alone! :)

Well this is obviously something you feel strongly about.
For believers I am not sure that rules and regulations is the way to go.
As well, I am not sure to what measures women must go then, just leaves their eyes uncovered so they can see when they step outside?

Anyway do not really want to discuss this further I find it rather depressing.

I'm not going back several pages to read through everything here about this subject, but as I'm skimming through, this one line quoted above really sticks out.......
I am the MAMA BEAR to three little cubs and let me tell you something, when it's 3 in the morning and your pregnancy goes bad nearly killing you and the baby IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE DR IS MALE OR FEMALE. All the planning in the world for a female Dr. isn't going to matter in the middle of an emergency if the Dr on call is male.

Wow 3 kids? That's amazing! Praise God for your blessings :)

Lemme clarify my point, I guess it was not highlighted enough.

Of course I agree! I even mentioned this point. Every circumstance in God's eyes is measured. Clearly under pain that I have no idea, yes you get whoever is available ASAP. (Optional) Now to go one step higher if you are such a level, (i.e. Paul was currently bleeding and beating up by Romans and yet he Baptized Roman Guards...imagine his reward for that action) then you could ask God for strength to bear the pain for a few seconds and see if you can request a female doctor if she is around, but of course if she is not, then surely you must accept the male.

The reward comes from your "effort" that's why that story of Paul makes the cut. Or just look at Jesus. But ONLY if we have gotten to such a level. That is was we get 80 years on avg on this earth, to grow and to be lights to God. Could you only imagine the "Sanctity of Gods name" if the whole hospital heard that while in childbirth, you still persisted in being modest? THE WHOLE HOSPITAL WOULD CONVERT and all the women who come in half naked would feel ashamed and in heaven you would be praised!

"For whoever does the least will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven and...whoever does the greatest will be called GREAT!!!."

Thanks for your reply. Okay, no worries. Here is the source of all laws:

One thing that is clear across the Bible is that the NT isn't needed to explain the laws and commands of God. Why? Because its all written in the Tanakh and most people in the NT are Jewish and grew up Jewish and knew it all. The church has a difficult time selecting what to do and not do, hence the 40,000+ denominations which all have a bit of truth to them. In that time, everyone (Jew and Gentile) went to a Synagogue as it is clearly evident in Acts multiple times. What happens in a Synagogue? Rabbi's taught Jews the Torah and Gentiles 7 Noachide laws. Once a Christian can understand this, its easier to source any law. For Jesus repeats Moses's words, "Man shall not live on bread alone but by...every word that comes from the Lord" (Moses said this when only the 5 books were given). So to combat Satan or our own ideas and theologies, we have a word to prove knowledge and a Spirit that guides us in sorting through it all. :) Praise God.

If Paul wrote something for women, its Godly and with our time on earth, the least we can do is take an "unbiased" position and study for ourselves all the aspects of that point that was directed at whomever. And no, women don't have to cover their faces, just their figure and hair :) Muslims took an extreme approach but I will tell you something, I never look twice or double take on a muslim woman and I am sure man men can testify to that. But show your beauty to your husband and I hope you have or will have an amazing husband with kids and a husband who will respect you and love you as he should!

Ewww. What a sick topic. People go to the doctor to get problems resolved, not to fulfil some kind of deviant fantasy. I'd say any doctor getting sexual enjoyment out of his examinations is some kind of pervert. It's not to say it can't happen - we have sodomites in society, afterall - but that doctor probably needs to see another doctor about his mental issue.

Nurses and doctors of either gender need to deal with the opposite gender quite often, but I would guess more than 99% of them would prefer not to have to get very close.

I definitely prefer female, and so does she.

Once we had a baby and the hospital was understaffed. There was a male OBGYN. There weren't any females available. Suddenly, my wife became okay with the idea of a male OB.

Yep,old thread, and it's total nonsense. A doctor is a doctor. Them looking at your ear is no different than your, well, rear. Same difference to them. My mother was a nurse. She had more old drunk men making passes at her, she had to defend herself more than once. That doesn't mean that some doctors don't break their oath, but so do some pastors, teachers etc. Nothing wrong with a female seeing a male doctor or the other way around. A lot of small towns are lucky to have a doctor. Utter nonsense.

My mother was a nurse, never once mentioned a doctor that was a pervert. But she tells of a lot of males that were perverts. So let's not tar all people because you know three whole doctors you deem "perverts".
