On a side note. With all the hoarding going on, my niece has had real trouble getting the 70% alcohol cleaner necessary to clean her 4 yr old son's Cystic Fibrosis equipment that she MUST do to avoid a possible deadly infection he could incur.

If worse comes to worse, there is a 151 proof rum and 190 proof grain alcohol.
Should be available at most any liquor store.
151 proof =75 1/2 % alcohol and 190 proof = 95% alcohol

Some of our abundance we may actually have to help our Brethren and bring others to Christ.

I’ve heard having a product having more alcohol in it kills viruses and bacteria faster than anything else.

my concern is the secondary nightmare problem that could rise from this. like world volience increasing suicide deaths murder deaths all from people not having jobs, businesses bellying up, people having a hard time finding or buying food etc. the unemployment filing has sky rocketed in the last few days already because people are already losing their jobs and like you mentioned this has only just begun.

in America we are told to stay home like in Italy and other place, but what happens when people are not bringing in a paycheck businesses closed not making money taxes not being paid, people having no money to eat. one problem in America is the top 1% do make the vast majority of money so the 99% will struggle if they don’t have money. the average American is 500 dollars away from a major financial meltdown down, yea our system is geared to consumption yet it’s easy to get a loan easy to get a lot of things because the system pushes spend spend spend.

this is going to be a catch 22 thing in the near future for sure and violence will arise no doubt.

I don’t know been trying to find how people in Italy are faring as far as money and jobs.

right there is no plan or mentioned package that gives people money to stay home so that is a issue that as well has to be answered like yesterday as with medical beds equipment to handle the load there is a lot of issues with how things are being handled.
 
I will say again there is no need for anyone to hoard

we have been slowly getting things together and have not taken anything from anyone

the responsible thing is to prepare so you don't run out and buy 17 of any one thing

you don't have to put lots of money into it either if you do it over time

Agree one does not exclude the other....

Not add to fear just to inform,

USA has reached 5 988 cases. ... today 1 325 new cases
425 in New York State alone

Italy probably going to fair fair worse than China... 31 506 cases ... with 3 526 new cases so far today
26 000 people are actively sick

Yup it ain't going to be pretty.
Where I live the government is providing all kinds of assistance, wages ... tons of money being infused into the system .. we will see what that does in the long run... I hear CRASH loud and clear.

But then hard to say the world survived the Spanish Flu and actually saw economic growth, but then this is more contrived I think :unsure:

today is way different than when the Spanish flu was, most of the world’s life style is different today, that alone can create major problems, how many can live without electricity cars planes phones computers and a lot of things people didn’t have in the Spanish flu outbreak. people will go nuts.

and the simple fact that there is more people than food on the planet or at least it’s not distributed rightly or some thing but any slow down in the delivery system of food and mass amounts of people will go hungry. like warehouses that stock food have more than 10 people working in the building or a lot of places that keep the system running has more than 10 people.

maybe this evening the government will have a assistance program in place but right some businesses are closed and people are lining up for unemployment which that system has a limit of how much money it can hand out. our government has said to stay home and closed a lot of businesses but doesn’t have a plan as to how to keep people with money in their pockets I know people that are sweating bullets right now they don’t know how they are going to get by without a job.

and any government can’t just infused money for months and months, without people working to keep the economy going the nation will belly up if that continues for to long.
 
I'm looking forward to a stay-cation. I've procrastinated a bit around the house. Perhaps now I can get a few things done. lol! :giggle:

Yes many problems.... especially in the USA right now which lacks social cohesion... how much will people help each other?

China did survive SARS although the economy did loose 25 000 billion

Well that is why drastic measure can be better than long drawn out piecemeal approach .... so many unknowns really.
