Well lets hope it is enough, but probably not .. China locked down a whole cities and that was the only way they were able to slow the pace of the spread.

At this moment the USA is chasing a rapidly moving target.

No one could win in a situation like this. I know I wouldn't want to be in leadership right now.
Our PM is looking haggard. IMO he had enough on his plate before this virus situation erupted.

We must do what the apostle instructed and pray for our leaders. Now more than never.

He should have done is sooner, but probably many advised him not to, finally he came to his senses.

I do pray and from what I learned about you from our posts I would say so do you

people do not realize the harm they do by complaining complaining complaining and needing to blame someone

well I certainly agree the dems could take a long walk off a short pier

but you are not the entire population of the US

however it is obviously not just dems complaining...but you wouldn't know anything about that, right? ;):whistle:

Funny .. a person wants to run the ship then they need to deal with complaints and criticism ...part of the job.

No leader makes 100 % perfect decisions.. but a good leader owns up to his mistakes and learns from them.

Nothing wrong with calling leaders to task because if we do not we basically then we live under an authoritarian regime.

A unbiased eye by the citizens on any leader is always best

Every city in the USA that is a hot spot should be under lock down except for essential services .. people need to stop traveling.

If is not mandatory it will not happen.
No one wants this kind of government control... but really there is no choice and if Trump does not do it soon they will not be able to flatten the curve.

I just came from walmart.
No toilet paper for 3 days.

The worker there told me "..because the internet rumor of entire cities shut down"

Hello....this isn't a plague. It is a virus.

What is happening here is pure loonicy.

Okay well, we will see in two, three weeks, when the number infected is in the millions and more draconian measures have to be put in place or we could have people just dying in the street like in China.

People will not follow the governments recommendations, the USA is too highly individualistic.

People will shoot themselves in the foot on this because they will be upset about individual liberties and then government will be a perfect position to take them away when things get really bad and be in a justified position to do so.

Outbreaks peak and then it's over.
Panic sells though.
Will await the gosh awful price increases on paper.

Novel idea...create a crisis.

Probably designed as a biological weapon. Seems to be quite effective, not for the physical harm it causes, which in comparison to other forms of virulent virus is minimal, but rather in the major disruption of the US economy and routine day to day activities that are vital to maintaining quality of life.
