That's quite cute. And a happy good morning to you too.
Odd combination don't you think? Crazy cat lady persuades a little duck to send greetings? haha! I jest.

A question for people who believe we must maintain our salvation:
I recently went to a casino and won $500. Upon leaving I gave a married couple a $100 chip.
My question is, am I a condemned sinner for going to the casino or did I maintain my salvation because I gave complete strangers $100?
Unfortunately, beloved, there are people who believe in Jesus yet don’t trust Him regarding their eternal state of being. They believe they must work to maintain their salvation. Truly heartbreaking. You made me jealous because I end up giving the casino $100. Which is why I don't visit anymore.
I wasn't aware the Christian need stress about possibly doing something that would make them lose their salvation. Is eternal life the same thing?
The exact same dogma that the many peddle.....and blind to the truth to boot!Yes, notice the workers for salvation on this thread have the "Jesus and me" view.
All that comes after we're dead and find out if we go to heaven or not.
I didn't read where Jesus said aggressive demeanor is a sign of his blessing. Must go back and look for that in the bible.
A cup that NEVER RUNS DRY BUT OVERFLOWS NONSTOP...God’s grace perpetually overflows from the cup of salvation. It is my heartfelt prayer that everyone would understand this biblically based doctrine and rejoice.
Absolute truth here!!!![]()
(Romans 3:24-28; 4:5-6; Philippians 3:9)
false......John said we can KNOW RIGHT NOW....THIS FIND OUT CRAP after we die is false!!
No one stops sinning.
false......John said we can KNOW RIGHT NOW....THIS FIND OUT CRAP after we die is false!!
It seems strange to me that there would be this idea a person could strive to meet the approval of a higher power. Not just that but for the purpose of being rewarded by a promise of everlasting life if that higher power is pleased with their effort.Unfortunately, beloved, there are people who believe in Jesus yet don’t trust Him regarding their eternal state of being. They believe they must work to maintain their salvation. Truly heartbreaking.
John also said we don’t sin, . . .

You have GOT to look at the GREEK verb Tenses, to arrive at the full meaning.
Simple enough. I thought the lord Christ did all the work when he died for us.very simple- believe in Jesus= saved.
don't believe in Jesus= unsaved.
You have GOT to look at the GREEK verb Tenses, to arrive at the full meaning.
In Greek we have 6 Primarly Verb Tenses, while in ENGLISH we only have 3 Primary Verb Tense.
You will find that JOHN is extremely fond of one of the THREE Tenses that we do NOT HAVE IN ENGLISH.
Therefore you will find that what JOHN meant by what he said, "We strive to not sin."
IT DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE PERFECT AT NOT SINNING. It means that we strive as a Lifestyle OR Characteristic, to avoid sinning as a Christian, even though we stumble occasionally and do sin. AND WHEN WE DO SIN, we will automatically Admit it to GOD, repent in accordance to
1 John 1:9, and get back up, and CONTINUE to STRIVE TO NOT SIN. THAT is the Lifestyle the Holy Spirit put into our newborn Human Spirit.
I can prove you DO SIN with just a few verses:
Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV)
20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.
Romans 3:20 (NKJV)
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 7:7 (HCSB)
7 What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin if it were not for the law.
For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.
1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man
for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the
punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put
to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as
bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king
{That would be President Donald Trump, if you are an American.}

Shall I go on ? ? ? There are lots more ordinances that I did not cover?
Not a higher power, The Higher Power. It seems strange to me that there would be this idea a person could strive to meet the approval of a higher power. Not just that but for the purpose of being rewarded by a promise of everlasting life if that higher power is pleased with their effort.
Sounds too human to be holy.
That's what I was always taught . Christ is sufficient. Eternal life, eternal salvation. One and the same thing, right? Not a higher power, The Higher Power.
God’s grace in Jesus Christ is sufficient.
