A question for people who believe we must maintain our salvation:

I recently went to a casino and won $500. Upon leaving I gave a married couple a $100 chip.

My question is, am I a condemned sinner for going to the casino or did I maintain my salvation because I gave complete strangers $100?
You made me jealous because I end up giving the casino $100. Which is why I don't visit anymore.
I wasn't aware the Christian need stress about possibly doing something that would make them lose their salvation. Is eternal life the same thing?

Unfortunately, beloved, there are people who believe in Jesus yet don’t trust Him regarding their eternal state of being. They believe they must work to maintain their salvation. Truly heartbreaking.

All that comes after we're dead and find out if we go to heaven or not.

I didn't read where Jesus said aggressive demeanor is a sign of his blessing. Must go back and look for that in the bible.
false......John said we can KNOW RIGHT NOW....THIS FIND OUT CRAP after we die is false!!

I thought he died on the cross. To give us righteousness to give us humbleness. To clean the Earth for our sins. I haven't found a quote. Sorry

No one stops sinning.

I enjoyed that little respite with nobody here but us OSAS Believers, almost like a Sabbatical. It was nice and peaceful for a bit.

But it appears another wild theory disciple has joined, and there goes the Peace.

John also said we don’t sin, but scripture is an open buffet to some. They choose to magnify the verses they like and seldom talk about those “problem” verses. And when they talk about those “problem” verses suddenly we can’t KNOW what they mean as they are plainly written. Suddenly they don’t mean what they say.

Does the admonition in Titus 2:6-8 regarding “sound speech” mean anything to you? Do you even read the scriptures frequently or hear it read to you frequently? Or have we all made up our minds on what is true and false and stopped reading the scriptures with a mind open to correction?

Using the word “crap” in a public setting is not useful to win anyone to your side. It’s repelling. Especially when you do it with a high hand in all caps.

But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36).

It seems strange to me that there would be this idea a person could strive to meet the approval of a higher power. Not just that but for the purpose of being rewarded by a promise of everlasting life if that higher power is pleased with their effort.
Sounds too human to be holy.

John also said we don’t sin, . . .

You have GOT to look at the GREEK verb Tenses, to arrive at the full meaning.

In Greek we have 6 Primarly Verb Tenses, while in ENGLISH we only have 3 Primary Verb Tense.

You will find that JOHN is extremely fond of one of the THREE Tenses that we do NOT HAVE IN ENGLISH.

Therefore you will find that what JOHN meant by what he said, "We strive to not sin."

IT DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE PERFECT AT NOT SINNING. It means that we strive as a Lifestyle OR Characteristic, to avoid sinning as a Christian, even though we stumble occasionally and do sin. AND WHEN WE DO SIN, we will automatically Admit it to GOD, repent in accordance to
1 John 1:9, and get back up, and CONTINUE to STRIVE TO NOT SIN. THAT is the Lifestyle the Holy Spirit put into our newborn Human Spirit.

I can prove you DO SIN with just a few verses:

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV)
20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

Romans 3:20 (NKJV)
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:7 (HCSB)
7 What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin if it were not for the law.
For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.

1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man
for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the
punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put
to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as
bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king
{That would be President Donald Trump, if you are an American.}

You have GOT to look at the GREEK verb Tenses, to arrive at the full meaning.
And, of course, there’s no problem understanding the verses you provided without seeking to the original languages.

This scripture is a lie then:

ROMANS 13:8-10

You should read it, along with the whole Bible, more often to awake out of the sleep you’re in.

Aren't you talking facts here, not faith? If I don't clean up the poop puppy makes when we're on our walk in the park, do I lose my saving grace from God?
What was forgiven and washed away forever by the blood on the cross if you think you can still sin and have that counted against you?

That Greek language verb tense thing is another oddity. When bibles were first published only the well off could afford them. The peasants had to listen to the sermon.
Why does someone need to be fluent in Greek grammar in order to get it, in your opinion?
God only wants highly educated people in his heaven?

Not a higher power, The Higher Power.
God’s grace in Jesus Christ is sufficient.
