You're definitely missing out. See if you can find a supply of fresh-from-the-tree figs. They're juicy and crunchy and sweet all at the same time.

Crunchy...are you sure we are talking about figs?

Glad to have you back with us. The current conversation is in regards to the merits of eating figs verses grapes. Personally, I'm trending towards figs but that's just me. :)

What about the mangoes and avocados??

Wait... are we? I like grapes as well, and they're more readily available here in middle Canada. There are even varieties that grow here. Too cold for figs!

I have forgotten what this thread was originally about. Seems to have turned into fruit salad.

My wife and stepdaughter love avocados. I merely tolerate them. I do enjoy mangos however.

I couldn't stand them either for a very long time but as of recent years I really like them with cheese in toasties.

What's this snow you are referring to? Ate a snow cone once at a fair. I think that it was grape flavored though.

The snow that falls from the sky...not sure one could do it now but as a kid I would visit Italy we would go into the higher elevations and gather fresh fallen snow and make snow cones and put fig syrup on them.

I currently live in Florida but used to live in Michigan and spent some time in Maine too. I miss the change of seasons. Your snow cone idea is worth considering.
