no checks and balances, they were there own aircraft tester, in other words, an impartial government authority didn't get to check it over , just took corporates word for it that the aircraft is ready, now we find after there hundred deaths that no, its not ready at all. Just one blatant example many more. We have the same issue here and now have 7 year old apartment buildings falling down, why, because corporate check there own work and sign off on it. We had two train drivers die recently because the railroad repairs were signed of by, yep, you guessed it corporate, well the train derailed and killed the drivers, injuring many passengers as well. Yes, corporate is now in control of our daily lives.
While the Boeing nonsense is true, it had no influence or control over my life.
No one if forced to fly, ride trains, or live in unsafe buildings.
We all have the freedom to investigate and choose who we buy from or whose service we use.
Just another person who wants to blame every bad thing in their life on others and never take responsibility for poor decisions on their part.

How did Boeing get into this? Are we next going to be condemned as a shadow Theocracy because our Federal Reserve Notes feature, "In God We Trust", on the back?

The Boeing Debacle actually began in 1984 when a Republican was elected President; Ronald Reagan. It continued after that unto the present grounding of the Boeing Max. So, how many Democrat Presidents have we had since Reagan? Who all contributed to Boeing actually being subject to FAA regulations?
Two Democrats (Clinton, Obama) and now three Republicans (Bush 41, God have mercy, Bush 43, and Donald Trump).
"Boeing’s struggle to fit larger and more fuel-efficient engines on to the 737 MAX airframe caused a chain of events leading to the two crashes. This struggle of fitting a larger engine onto a lower, 1960’s fuselage did not start with the MAX, but actually originated in 1984 with the 737-300. A more rigorous and independent government safety regulation which mandated airframe rather than software changes enabled the 737-300 to fly safely with the larger engines. Critically, changes in delegation and oversight authority between 1984 and 2016 allowed Boeing to hide and obfuscate design details from the FAA and to capture safety regulatory authority from the FAA." (Source: The Boeing 737 MAX DebacleA white paper on how the 737 MAX was unwisely certified and what needs to be done )

How stupid is it to try and go after this awful boogie man of “ corporations”. These people are either ignorant or evil. No other explanation

Corporations are comprised of human beings. My corporation for instance, employs about 30,000 people globally. Giving them a decent living to support their families.
Unless you are self employed, or working for the bloated, obese government, or are infirmed or a flat out bum, you work for a corporation made up entirely by human beings.
When you hear people go after corporations, beware! They are leftist America hating, constitution hating enemies, or completely indoctrinated ignoramousi!
That's cute. Ignore all the facts I made in my post and instead give us your opinion which is completely lacking in objectivity or sustenance. Go ahead, label anyone who disagrees with you as either "ignorant" or "evil"... I've noticed a theme in your post where that is verbatim your m.o. .

Now then, do you refuse to acknowledge that Bush's/Tauzin's Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act allowed insurance companies to charge whatever they want for patient's prescription drugs by removing the cap? Do you acknowledge that 14x aids who helped write the bill left capital hill to get into the health care industry?

Do you deny that Billy Tauzin, the Republican politician who pushed the Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act who kept saying "Nobody loves their mother more than me", left congress after the bill was passed to be the CEO of PhRMA (only making $2,000,000 a year).

Do you deny Amazon and Exxon mobile have received enormous tax credits where they paid $0 while other business owners are paying 21%? Do you deny there is about a 23 to 1 of lobbyists-to-congressman ratio? Yet, you think it's "stupid" to think big corporations are corrupt?

If your goal is to be toxic and not respond to facts, mission accomplished. If you actually refute any of the information, then do so - so we can have a conversation based on facts and not opinions. These questions are not rhetorical.

What was untrue in my post? You realize the left does exactly what you do? Often times they ignore facts and instead resort to name calling/opinions based on emotion. They can't stand when someone disagrees with them. As Ben Shapiro says, "facts don't care about your feelings."

I invite you to respond to any information I posted that was not correct. Engage in fruitful discussion. If that isn't a mutual desire, why don't you just go to reddit? Are we not brothers in Christ?

I also own a small corporation with my cousin. I definitely wish we paid 0% taxes.
Sorry, only the government can set the standards for who can and can't receive tax credits. You're probably not a billion dollar corporation, if you were, then they would clearly think you're in need of some welfare and then you would pay $0 in corporate tax like Exxon and Amazon.

Trump's tax cuts have allowed us to grow and hire some Gen Z kids, but frankly even Trump's tax cuts are not enough to go really big. I would like to see the tax rate lower and one could make a good argument against Trump that he should lower the corporate tax rate on small corporations and businesses even more. Nevertheless we're going to get the opposite with the democrats so it's kind of a moot point.
I don't think the government should be in the business of picking winners and losers of tax breaks/credits. Tax them ALL a certain percentage, so everyone is on equal footing. I'd be a hypocrite to want the government to let small business owners pay $0 in corporate taxes, but tax billion dollar corporations some high %. I just want everyone to pay the same rate, regardless of what it is.

Lets say you and your neighbor make the same amount of money per year, but you are charged 21% more on your income than your neighbor. Wouldn't you think that was a bit unfair? If not explain...

I wouldn't even care too much about a small raise in taxes, but then I look at what they spend it on and openly admit they want to spend it on. It's really disheartening when you made the right choices and walked a very narrow path and the evil children of the Devil expect you to subsidize their birth control so they can continue to resemble Babylon with all their whoredoms, their abortions, their agenda of lies, their own stupid choices to take on massive debt to be taught anti-Christianity by the colleges, pay for their foreign lovers that are here to replace my whole generation, and most egregious of them all is they want me to pay for Satan's handmaidens the ungodly single mother welfare queens and their children that they themselves turned into bastards.
I agree with most of what you wrote, but my biggest issue is our national debt. Taxes are a necessary evil for our country to function. We can't just keep spending ourselves into oblivion the way we are doing. No one can deny that Trump has help boost the economy... but what people don't understand is, if you get a huge raise in salary at your work but your debt is growing at a faster rate, that is a net negative... NOT a positive.

If I make $120,000 a year, I buy a house worth $250,000, I could probably afford the mortgage. Lets say next year I get a 10% raise so I make $132,000 a year... then I buy a Rolls Royce for $250,000. Does my raise in income somehow mitigate the fact I'm doubling my debt? Should I be happy that a bone was thrown my way by making $12,000 more a year that I'll overlook the fact my debt is growing exponentially faster than my income?

Lol that's not how the taxing of corporations works. The more money your corporation earns, the higher the tax rate is. Then depending what type of corporation you are you can get tax breaks or benefits for certain things (ie: as a small level C Corp we have to pay 21% taxes, but we get a few million dollars worth of a health insurance pool for ourselves and the workers and we can write off basic expenses like food.) Corporations that are bigger and make more revenue pay a higher tax rate.

Where big corporations usually get big tax breaks is by enrolling in programs, but then small corporations can do that too. It's just a matter of are they smart enough to ask and apply? For example we have begun to partner with a historically black college in order to apply for a grant to essentially hire black people. If things go swimmingly and we hire so many black people from their college then we will get a grant. And if Biden or Bernie ends up winning they're the first ones I'll have to fire.

In terms of the debt, I agree, we spend way too much. We especially spend too much on immorality; single mothers, condoning and supporting promiscuity, college, drug addicts, foreigners, etc. It's not even just the amount of spending that is bad here, but really it has created a terrible social paradigm where the morally correct are punished and looked down on by society while the wickedest people doing the wickedest deeds probably in the entirety of history are tangibly rewarded and then also get the sympathy and support of society. Even besides just dollars and cents, this is a dynamic that is just frankly egregious. With President Trump at least the morally just will get some opportunity and some dignity to build a sort of bulwark against the grim future. With the Democrats it's just going to go back to upholding the hands of the wicked and chastising the just.

I understand there are loopholes set up for unique billion dollar corporations to take advantage of the tax breaks. That's my point though. The system is set up by a bunch of politicians to pass legislation and/or pass executive orders that lobbyists pushed so that the corporations can maximize their profits. Why else is there a 23 to 1 ratio of lobbyists-to-congressmen? Many argue this number is drastically minimized as this only counts the 12,000 registered lobbyists (many more not registered).

I'd rather no one gets tax breaks or everyone gets the same tax breaks. Not allowing loopholes to exists that only the top of the top can take advantage of sounds pretty reasonable. Even Trump himself wasn't too happy about Amazon not paying enough in taxes. He has called them a "tax cheat." If Trump, someone who is pro-corporate welfare, thinks Amazon is a tax cheat... that is absolutely saying something.

Sure, it's not a new system. The point though is that giving tax breaks to corporations makes sense because they actually put out good for the society; create jobs, create tangible wealth, add value, and so forth.

What we do not need is the democrat double whammy of crushing the small economic window we've been given by raising taxes and then simultaneously spending that money on evil people and essentially rewarding them to do evil thus creating a downward spiral effect of degeneration.

All you folks that want to tax corps. more just don't understand how that works.
ALL businesses are in the business to make money.
A certain amount of profit is expected depending on investment, risk, and sales.
Any time the cost of operation goes up (labor, cost of goods, utilities, rent, and TAXES) the price will go up.
Guess who pays that increase---the CONSUMER.
In the end, the consumer will pay for any increase in business taxes.
It has always been that way and always will.

Not sure who you're talking to really... I'm the only one talking about corporate welfare and the 23/1 lobbyist/congressman ratio, but I never said to tax corporations "more" relative to another corporation. Rather, I want to end loopholes which allow billion dollar corporations to pay little to no taxes (Amazon and Exxon being examples). An electrician who has a handful of people has to pay his corporate taxes, as should Amazon.

It doesn't make sense to tax small businesses astronomically more than billion dollar corporations. I wouldn't care if Trump dropped his 21% corporate tax to 15%, provided EVERY corporation would pay their 15%, including Amazon and Exxon. In other words, no tax credits.

As for corporations passing the tax burden to the consumers, yes, many of them do. However, when costs go up, there is a breaking point in which consumers will refuse to do business. Remember 14 years ago when gas was over $3.00/gallon? The market realized that once gas goes over $3.00/gallon, consumers will start making changes in their lifestyle so they don't require as much of gas. It's more lucrative if a corporation is able to be creative enough in the market place to make money while also not passing all the costs to the consumer.

Instead of being able to buy his 8th mansion, the CEO of the billion dollar corporation will just have to pay his portion of corporate tax just as the mom and pop shop who services his 10 Rolls Royces pay theirs. Okay, who am I kidding, he'd never take it there... I was just trying to make a point. =D

Been to Calif. lately. $3 gas is cheap.
There is always a point when absorbing cost is not possible.
Check the number of bankruptcies in recent years.
Even those businesses that just closed because the return was not worth the investment and work.

I wasn't speaking of California, but of the US as a nation. The last time I checked, the average price was below $2.50/gallon for the entire country.

Okay, since I've used Exxon and Amazon, let's continue using them as examples. Do you GENUINELY feel like Amazon can't absorb the cost... that it's impossible for them without going bankrupt? Are you familiar with how much money they made last year and how much they ended up paying in taxes?

It sounds like divorce is exponentially more costly than corporate taxes for Jeff Bezos... he shelled out $38 billion for his divorce settlement and he's not even CLOSE to bankruptcy. lol I understand the man needs to eat... but can he really not afford to pay corporate taxes without having to eat ramen noodles every day so he can make ends meet? You're implying if Amazon paid 21% corporate tax, he'd have to apply for food stamps? Come on...
