First of all, you need to believe on Him and have faith in Him. Then you need to confess that He is your Lord and Savior, and that you believe He died for your sins. Then repent of your sins, follow Him and do your best to obey Him. :)

Saved from the just punishment we all have earned?

By the grace of God, He will impute the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ to all who believe in Him.

Come judgement we need to be seen as SPOTLESS in order to be saved. We will either have our own righteousness, or we will have the imputed righteousness of Christ which is by grace through faith.
