A prize is something that you work for and earn where a gift is something that you freely accept without merit.

Yes, no man can earn salvation and no man should try. Furthermore, pressing toward the mark should always be done out of a spirit of want to, not have to.

Yes. . two witnesses, the hearing ears. And the seeing eye they must be in agreement in order to trust the unseen spirit understanding.

I would liken it to the law and the prophets "all things written". Or called sola scriptura.( no oral traditions of men).

The law as to the letter that seen, the temporal, and the hearing ear attributed to the prophets to represent the law of faith the eternal not seen . Together working as one perfect law. Not in part but the whole.

Its all one gift .The calling is not of us and neither the gift . Everyone receives the same pennies worth . No bigger barns in heaven all receive the same reward "eternal life.".
