Part of the problem is that people are lazy, and insecure. Clinging to a version excuses them from research, and gives them the confidence they need to go on secure in their ignorance.
So while the rest of us go on in our multiple translations, and our reference books, they can cling dogmatically to their blessed version/ translation, and in the case of the King James often transliteration. Because it's security not depth that they require.
The difference between God’s word being the final authority or man being the final authority.

He called me to study His word, the KJV, not to correct it and be my own final authority.

I’ll use your own argument. The KJV translators would blow away your professor in Greek and Hebrew. Facts.
Yet you seem to believe that God downloaded His word in English to them...

making their education and understanding completely and utterly irrelevant.

Really, man, do you look for bad arguments, or is that just the only thing you have?

You believe man is the final authority, in the person(s) of the KJV translators. However, you blindly attribute their work to God... and then brag about their education and understanding.

It's the KJV, because that's the one Jesus used to give the sermon on the Mount.

Irrelevant canard.
That’s the basis of the whole debate. Did God preserve His word for us today? Didn’t He command us to live by every word? How can we if He didn’t preserve every word?

I'm not lazy nor am I insecure. I've researched and found that people who use multiple translations and Greek dictionaries to arrive at "the truth" have done nothing more than create their own truth.

False that's what King James did and gave you his singular opinion and you dare not study to find what God actually said.

The problem with me being able to defend my position is that most of you are are so biblically illiterate that you can't understand a word I say.

The Bereans searched the word daily to make sure what Paul said was true.
I think it's best to follow in their foot steps and search the word daily to see if what king James said was true. (He was a bit of a scoundrel ya know. )

I do, haven’t found an error yet. Why should I study other versions that are loaded with errors?

Almost spewed my coffee. I have read the vapid statements that you make and in general blow them off, because they are so shallow that I feel as though I would be in a discussion with a burned out old hippy that smoked his mind to mush in 1966. So exalt yourself and insult all the others in this forum if you like.
I just though I would be honest with you since you decided to be smug and insulting at the same time.

Of course you haven't... you're willfully blind to them, and the ones that are pointed out to you, you dismiss with a shocking absence of integrity.

Post scripture and we can discuss. Insults do nobody any good.

Post an error that you have found, not on websites, but you yourself found while studying, and we’ll discuss. Thanks.
