I like for its simplicity and easy understanding. The Lord didn’t make us all Scholars. Certainly not me.
I do like the KJV, I just find it hard to understand at times.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Btw, the KJV is the only bible that commands its readers to study God’s word.

It’s not that about being a lie It’s clear some of these are not in the oldest of manuscripts scribes would often paraphrases to express meanings like that one and the other
the KJV followed what the Church of England was using for a Bible and updated it. they didn’t create a whole new bible with all new material they updated the older version.
What a terrible wager you face. It's so much better to trust the Lord of the book.
The KJV is not without its errors also like in act 12:4 Easter is a man made holiday it’s not the Passover. even the NKJV recognized the error, and the old KJV is about the only one left with the error

Erroneously interpreted. The word didn't mean in 1611 what it means today... like many words in the KJV.
But I'll suffer you this one indiscretion.
Yes! The translation is, the Holy Breath; you can hear Him at any given time or you cannot! I like KJV with this translation!
Even the word bible was coined by people to name the new collection of writings which means books, and they chose that word as well because of the old city of Byblos which was a major city for the papyrus trade used for writings of manuscripts.
As far as deliberate changes I’d go as far as saying even the Torah the very first writings was deliberately changed day 3 and 4 are flopped it’s been so long ago there’s no other writings to compare.
If one reads day 4 of genesis before day three then 3 to 5 it makes a lot more since then grass growing without the sun sure the light of God can be that light but I am convinced it got flopped. The wording of the firmament completely lines up.

The oldest copies of the OT books are those found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. They are about 1000 years older than any previous copies used to translate the Bible and have been used in a number of modern translations. I use different versions and find
no difficulty in understanding any of them. I would be interested to know whether this obsession about ''the true translation'' is only restricted to English speaking believers or whether its found in those of other countries who have never owned a KJV Bible or any other
English version. Can anyone on site whose native language isn't English enlighten me? I wonder how people managed before 1611. Did God allow English Speaking people to read faulty versions of his word up until then?

I meant to add in my previous post that most of the early Church read the Septuagint a Greek translation of the Bible not a Hebrew
version which is what many English translations relied on including the KJV. Many OT quotations in the NT come directly from that Greek translation.

Probably still learning English language it wasn’t very old quite young I’ve read it’s invention was somewhere between 550-1066CE. I could understand typos mistranslation just in the shear fact the language was fairly new. I read a lot of different versions too actually I enjoy it I seem too learn a lot more about languages and presentation
