i've heard a preacher say, He gives you what you believe. if you believe in a rapture before the tribulation, He'll take you. if you don't, He'll leave you in it.

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
Mat 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This is speaking of the resurrection which no person knows the day and hour that it will happen and those that are hypocritical not acting like Christ when the resurrection happens will not be caught up to be with Jesus.

Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Eze 39:17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
Eze 39:18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Eze 39:19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
Eze 39:20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zec 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah:

and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

After the resurrection the wrath of God will be poured upon the world leading up to the battle of Armageddon and Jesus will come back with the saints and defeat the world and Jesus shall be King over all the earth.

If you will put it in context,it would become clear.
Note Jesus shifts from post trib timing to "before the flood" or pretrib/prejudgement.

Re read it for yourself;
37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

38 For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark,

39 And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

40 At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left.

41 Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

42 Watch therefore [[t]give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [[u]whether a near or remote one] your Lord is coming.

"Before the flood"
One taken/one left
Watch because you know not when i come

Truly,everywhere,we see the pretrib rapture.

The taking of the bride
Flood came and swept them all away. The wicked were taken, not Noah?

I take it that Jesus is talking about the second coming not the rapture for all of Matthew 24, because the disciples ask about two things, not about a rapture nor resurrection.

I choose to like the Rapture rather than lump out of it.
I believe if you will read the rest of this tread ,I believe it will help you see it better to. Since I prayed for knowledge, about 12 years ago GOD has open my mind up to where I can see A lot of things that I was wrong in, And for somebody like me that has Hardly no schooling knowledge At all, God has helps to see things, don't know or understand ,BUT he has. And I am one of HIS very very very lest.
But I was wanting ,what the BIBLE really said, as a whole, And not what I had been talt. And wanting to do all that HE gives me. For HE is my GOD, And we should obey GOD As GOD. bless as HE sees fit.

The following does not sound like something that would be happening in the middle of the Trib. I believe Jesus will come shortly following this Rapture. The last verse could still refer to His Second Coming.

Matthew 25
25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.
25:3 They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
25:9 But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

So Paul was out of order for studying as did the Bereans?
I said: "When you study the doctrine of man and not what God teaches". We have the Holy Spirit of God to be our Guide and our Teacher. We do not need man to teach us. We should do as the Bereans to study the word of God our self and not trust others to study the Bible for us.

There are more to show that it was not the wine like we think, Who is it a mocker to , I think if you really think about it.. It is GOD, Lev 10:9 & Num 6:3 & PROVERBS 23:31 & Isaiah 65:8 About every time someone drinks in the BIBLE something bad happen. Do you really thing that JESUS would make that would be bad for US. I could be wrong on this ,But I don't think so, GOD open our eyes.
Isaiah 28:7 This is the wine of false doctrinings 51:21 is to False doctrinings too, like the one in REVELATION IS.

Those who are ignorant of things the well studied are aware of.
Look, commentaries can be useful and informative up to a point but you shouldn't let someone else's world view and prejudice colour your view of scripture. You can pick up a lot of unnecessary religious baggage that way. The traditions of men can lead you astray.

I've heard people so ignorant that they repeat things from commentaries as though the commentaries themselves were scripture. And people who can't understand the difference between a translator's footnote and an entire accompanying page of commentary.
You should own at least one bible with no commentary attached.

The marriage supper that will be in Heaven,From what I understand.
Consider that "the marriage FEAST/SUPPER" is on the earth (commencing upon His "RETURN" to the earth), and is in fact the commencement (or inauguration) of the promised and prophesied EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom.

That is, wherever this is being referred to, it is speaking of their ENTRANCE INTO the earthly MK age (upon His "RETURN" to the earth).

[It is distinct from "the MARRIAGE" itself]

So you don't believe JESUS when HE tells that the tares will be first HE really tells you twice 24:30-41, And if you don't beleive JESUS ,There is No body going to be able to help you. I will pray ,but until you can believe JESUS's , words it will be easy for Satan to keep you in his power. GOD Help you see , THAT JESUS is telling you the truth, And HE dose want you to see, the truth, in this. And all the others that has been drone into it.

Hello Absolutely!

We have to remember that the end of age includes the gathering of the church, the time of God's wrath and the Lord's return to the earth. The entire process is the end of the age. The Lord's admonishment to watch and be ready, means to be in a faithful state for both the gathering of the church and when the Lord returns to the earth to establish His kingdom.

The above is speaking metaphorically, not that two men will be in the same bed. Also, looking at the world today, do you actually think that half of the worlds population would be caught up? This would go against when Jesus said "For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Many entering through the wide gate opposed to a few entering the narrow gate, is not a 50/50 scenario.

You still have the same problem in that, the "one taken" group is being compared to the one's taken in the flood, which is a wicked to wicked comparison, not wicked to righteous.
Where do you see one of the two designated as wicked?

NOT so , BUT I have beenin a Big study about it ,And learnt that it is not true, And JUST like the rapture is a big lie. It makes GODs word a lie , That is the reason I started this tread ,I want people to see what the BIBLE really says about them, AND not what I say but what the BIBLE says, Thus says the WORD of GOD,
Oh and the rapture is true also.. It is called the catching up in the Bible.. It happens on the day of the return of Jesus. :)

Hello Adstar!

The "one taken and the other left" scripture has nothing to do with the gathering of the church, but is referring to those who are still alive and will be gathered by the angels when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age as described in Matt.24:30-31.
And this is the rapture on the Day of the return of Jesus.. I totally reject the doctrine of a Pre-Tribulation rapture.. It is not going to happen.. Those Saints who are alive and remain on the day of the second comming of Jesus will be taking part in the Rapture.. They are the church.. All believers and followers of the LORD Jesus Christ are the church..

AMEN......no scriptures in context support some imaginary return before the Great Tribulation.......even the words IMMEDIATELY after the tribulation of those days are skewed by the imminent returners.....below are scriptural truths skewed by imminent returners...

a. The Grandsville Sharp in 2nd Thessalonians 2 and the described GATHERING TOGETHER unto HIM AFTER the man of sin is revealed
b. The total rejection of Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13 <--AFTER the TRIBULATION of those days and the GATHERING by the ANGELS
c. The parable of the wheat and tares and how GOD begins to deal with the TARES first before the ANGELS gather the wheat
d. The absolute ignorant argument that the church is not mentioned after Rev 4. when the WHOLE book is written to the church
e. The absolute rejection of who the saints/elect are and their mention and twist in Revelation
f. The denial of the word KEEP written unto the FAITHFUL in the LORD'S churches and twist to make it imply REMOVE
g. THE absolute IDIOCY of saying or believing the modern CHURCH will not face the persecution of the GT in light of the last 2000 years of history
h. The denial of the LAST day statement applied unto the resurrection/change and even mentioned BY JOB and when this day takes place
i. The denial of the 7th and FINAL trump and how the LAST trump does not mean the LAST trump
j. THE denied and swept under the table the sign of the SIEGE and FALL of JERICHO and how that ORDER follows PRECISELY the 7 seals, 7 trumps, does not mention the 7 thunders and even uses the same verbiage of 1st Thessalonians 4 and 1st Corinthians 15 (GREAT TRUMP, ASCENSION, VICTORY)
k. The denial of the fact that we thru MUCH tribulation must enter the kingdom
l. THE absolute ignorance of making WRATH and TRIBULATION the same thing
m. The ignorance of believing the wrath of GOD has arrived at the 6th seal because LOST MEN HIDING say it has arrived
n. WHILE ignoring that the WRATH IS ANNOUNCED IN HEAVEN as having arrived at the 7th TRUMP
o. The fact most rely on two scriptures out of context to lay the foundation for the imminent return and then build the above quagmire on said scriptures
p. The fact they try to make the Day of the Lord and Day of Christ two different days and 2 different comings by Christ
q. ETC.

I can GO ALL day long with inconsistencies, skewed scriptures, denied contexts and words by the imminent returners.......and I dogmatically believed it and defended it UNTIL I actually had to study the bible through twice a year in Seminary and seen so many things that did not jive.......

Yes indeed so many scriptures that people have to ignore to make the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine fit their idea of reality..

Even in Luke 21 Jesus went through the tribulation events and how it would be during the times just before His return and at the end of revealing all the signs that pre-tribbers say we are going to avoid Jesus said for us Christians to::

Luke 21: KJV
28 "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

So after see these things followers of Jesus are going to be lifting up their heads with Hope for they will know their redemption is near.. How can they be looking up if they had already been raptured before these things have come to pass??? Of course their looking up in expectation because they are still alive and on earth and still waiting for the return of the LORD Jesus..
