Do you know why James uses Job as an example? Job has long time been an example of the tribulation Jew. The 42 chapters of Job is likened to the 42 months of the great tribulation.

James 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Because Job endured to the end, he was blessed with much more than he ever had. If one endures through the tribulation, they will be ushered into the kingdom of Jesus and receive great blessings by the Lord.
ALL have been appointed to tribulation......from ABEL to the last saved person KILLED for the cause.....using JOB is a non-starter....and has nothing to do with the end of the age

Amen brother...
I have also learned alot from you guys and gals who walk in faith and not by sight , and that is what God requires of us , to build each other up , and strengthen each other...

Abraham knew he would be having Isaac back , before he even took him to the altar , he believed God would resurrect him , he trusted God and believed , now that is faith...

I dont know who said it earlier , it may of been John with the numbers attached to his name , but he said he only reads the bible and does not take notice of men , well I used to think like that , but we all need training from preachers , men of God , to help in our growth , not from false preachers like some I could mention on here , but from sound biblical men like yourself and other fine godly men on here , and a few of my sisters who have taught me a thing or two...

Some people just are not willing to lose their pride , they think being right in their own understanding is what counts , I call it a great error of their ways...
...xox...
I am learning a lot right this minute!!!:)

You make the term twelve tribes to mean Christians and yet....just the twelve tribes.
Twelve tribes is an earthly lineage. The 12 tribes is a term that means the same thing as the descendants of Israel. James could have just as easily written "To the children of Israel scattered abroad". Or he could have written "To the Jews scattered abroad".

Some of the twelve tribes/children of Israel/ Jews were Christians and some weren't.

I think you are basing "the faith of Christ" on Galatians 3:22.

(Gal 3:22) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Here's my take on the verse. The promise is the promise God made to Abraham back in Genesis. That promise is given to the believer because of the faith of Jesus Christ. He came and faithful did everything his father asked him to do.

What is your take?
Yes brother. The promise of the faith of Christ did not come until Christ lived and died on the cross. His faith is now imputed to this who believe.

Yes, but the term twelve tribes is a reference to the whole nation, not just Jewish Christians. That’s my point.

The promise IS NOT the "faith of Christ, the promise is the promise God made to Abraham... the inheritance.

We get in on that promise because of the extraordinary faith Jesus Christ had to do what he had to do to earn the right to give it to us.

We all know you are referring to Matthew 24.
For one that claims to know the truth he sure seems to either reject the truth or is oblivious to many scriptures that support what I am saying.....Jesus told us all we are appointed to tribulation and through much tribulation we must enter the kingdom....yet most that name JESUS deny the last 6000 years of history and how MOST believers suffered some sort of persecution, tribulation or were killed for the sake of the truth......I might as well be arguing with a fence post made of lead.....!!

Yes, the 12 tribes means the whole nation but scripture is written for believers.

(Jas 1:2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
(Jas 1:3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
(Jas 1:4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
(Jas 1:5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Your point is wrong...that is our point!
The term twelve tribes always is as reference to the whole nation of Israel. Genesis 49:28; Exodus 24:4, 28:21; Ezekiel 47:13.

And the NT is no exception. Matthew 19:28; Luke 22:30; Acts 26:7; Revelation 21:12.

Can any of you post scripture where the term twelve tribes mean anything other than the whole nation of Israel? Thanks.
ANYONE worth their salt CAN deduce WHO he is talking to by the following two phrases

The trial of YOUR FAITH-a
and NOT to have THE FAITH-b OF JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD with partiality

FROM FAITH-a to FAITH-b it is written, the JUST shall live by FAITH <-----show me the word WORKS in that phrase!!
