I was using this as a stand alone verse. Just like others are used as stand alone’s(John 3:16, Jeremiah 29:11, etc)
Stand alone because you have seen other people do it?

Yes some can and some can’t, if your using a single verse to say God’s thoughts are not the believers thoughts you have used Isaiah improperly

That’s not what I’m saying. I used it as a reminder that there is a vast difference between us and God

To simply put it, we sometimes as Believers will say or do things that are by our own understanding. We think we are speaking for God, but in actuality we aren’t
I do not think those verses from Isaiah are really speaking to that either.

Do you not think that is self-evident?

If were are not thinking in line with God it is not because of the vast difference but because we have not put on the mind of Christ.

I get what your saying the vast difference is our knowledge and Gods knowledge which His IQ can’t be numbered like us humans can.

Isaiah 40
12Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on a scale and the hills with a balance?
13Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or informed Him as His counselor?
14Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice? Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding?

Isaiah 55 is more on the wicked and unrighteous ways and thoughts, what is mentioned in 8 and 9 goes hand and hand with verse 7, the main focus point of 55 is a Invitation to the Needy.

I’m sorry. I didn’t know there was a specific way that I need to use that verse. All apologies.

Thank you for the correction. These things I didn’t know. Where would I be without this guiding light of yours?
