Another insult. You never really post anything that merits a proper response.
I knew when I posted the truth of the cited verse you would come back with some flippant mouthy comment instead of just acknowledging truth....par for the course with you......easily offended by the truth you are and my post was valid...you miss the mark on many truths.....

1 Corinthians chapter 2. Yes, I already gave a response to another poster about that. Maybe if you actually read the thread instead of being impulsive, you would have noticed that. A day late and a buck short again huh? I’m seeing a reoccurring theme with you.

Please get a point of reference. That would certainly help. Thanks!

Amen....the bible was clear...

Let this mind be in you that was in Christ JESUS

The context of the cited verse in the OP was aimed at the ways/thoughts of man as opposed to the ways/thoughts of GOD and has nothing to do with OUR MIND being transformed by a study of and application of the word of GOD.....OUR thoughts can indeed be the THOUGHTS of GOD when we dwell on the TRUTH and apply the truth.......
I agree the verses from Isaiah are stating something very different then how the OP has interpreted them.

The verses from Isaiah are speaking to the contrast/difference between God's ways and man's ...it is not stating we cannot know God's ways.

Isaiah 55:8 is talking about Isaiah 55:7

7Let the wicked man forsake his own way and the unrighteous man his own thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.

That’s not what I am stating.

So in that one has to read the chapter not just one or two verses and come to a conclusion, as in Isaiah 55 the message is to those of verse 7 not the whole body of believers.

What are you stating then?
To simply put it, we sometimes as Believers will say or do things that are by our own understanding. We think we are speaking for God, but in actuality we aren’t

I’m not coming to a conclusion. That verse can certainly stand on its own.

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

We all have our opinions/beliefs and want to proclaim them to everyone we can. The Holy God of Creation reminds us that our thoughts and ways are in no comparison to His. We are but a mist; seen for a short time and soon gone. Let us not forget and be humbled.
when I read this it doesn’t line up with verse 7

So it is my belief that when Isaiah 55 is understood on the audience spoken to,, Ephesians 4 and others line up Like this one below a few from 4 I’m not going to post the whole Ephesians 4 yet this should give a good idea on it.

17So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. 19Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.

20But this is not the way you came to know Christ. 21Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him, in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus, 22to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;23to be renewed in the spirit of your minds;

24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Can believers have the thoughts of God most certainly I believe

Amen. No only does he guide and comfort us but also brings to mind that which he has taught us keeping us humble and also works in us bringing to mind each other needs.

In that way according to Philippians 2:12-13 It is eternal God working in us. We are given the understanding he is of one mind and always does whatsoever his soul pleases for he performs that with us as Emanuel the things he appoint to us. Warning us not to complain. . . humbling our souls. But again as the comforter he reminds us of the better things that accompany our salvation.(Hebrew 6) A promise he will not forget the good works we do in honor of His name and power.

Yes, it is God who is working in you. He helps you want to do what pleases him, and he gives you the power to do it. Do everything without complaining or arguing Philippians 2:13-14 ERV

“But God never changes, and who can stand against him?He does anything he wants. He will do to me what he planned, and he has many other plans for me. That is why I am terrified to stand before him. Just thinking about it makes me afraid The fear of God has made me lose my courage. God All-Powerful makes me afraid What has happened to me is like a dark cloud over my face. But the darkness will not keep me quiet .Job 23:14-17 ERV

One thing I would ask is. How can we distinguish His thoughts from ours in order for us to understand his ways are higher? Comparing the earthly things to the heavenly? How can we find the ways or manners? Are they the prescriptions that keep the integrity of the word. . guarding it from those who add to it or subtract from it ? False prophecy?

After all he does lovingly command us to study to show ourselves approved unto Him not seen,. Therefore having the proper understanding by which then we can seek after him who has no form. Which I would think as a manner of a higher way .

The spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches/denominations. The high way His way. And not what are the doctrines of men as what does the churches say. (commentaries) The lower way .

Like Jesus said to Peter . What do you say. . . not what do men say? Trusting God for a answer. . . the high way.

In 1st John 2"27-28 we are warned of the antichrists. They will try and deceive the believer that they do need a man seen the temporal to teach them rather than abiding in our teacher the Holy Spirit within. . Which is blasphemy.

That would be one of the many manner that makes his way higher than the witness of men . Parables might be another way to not breed familiarity. . his thoughts are ours. Familiarity the thoughts of the lukewarm. The lower way

I was using this as a stand alone verse. Just like others are used as stand alone’s(John 3:16, Jeremiah 29:11, etc)
