Complete loss of well being, ruination. The meaning is that the person who is thrown into the lake of fire suffers complete loss of well being while existing. Completely and eternally ruined.

No, I did not say 'both A and B will suffer the same degree of punishment. What I did say was "Once again, what the degrees of punishment are or how God performs the different degrees of punishment is unknown, for it is not listed in scripture. If you want proof of what I said, see the last line of post #116.

Everyone who ends up in the lake of fire will be eternally and completely ruined. How God performs different levels of punishment within the lake of fire, I do not know.
How the soulless creatures of Revelation are created is shown in this video...

I think the persons thrown into the lake of fire will be soulless creatures that look like human beings. These are creatures that have a human body but no soul. So it's like burning a piece of wood. In any case these creatures are like wood and stubble as scripture tells us.
Hello RevelationMan,

I would have to humbly disagree. Sheol/Hades is a temporary place of punishment, a kind of holding cell, preceding to the lake of fire. After the rich man died his spirit went to Sheol/Hades where he was in torment in flame. The context tells us that he knew who he was, he could feel the pain of the flames, he recognized and had a conversation with father Abraham and recognized Lazarus and made reference to his father and five brothers. If this is the state of those who are in torment in Sheol/Hades, I would believe that those who end up in the lake of fire would also be aware of who they are, why they are there and have memory of their lives.

I don't know where you got that illustration from, but it is not an accurate comparison.

First of all, scripture states that man is made up of body, soul and spirit, not body, soul, mind and spirit.

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

Furthermore, there are no scriptures that support those thrown into the lake of fire as being soulless creatures. I believe that they will no very well who they are and why they are there. I also believe that though the lake of fire itself will be terrible, any part of God that was apart of them in life will have been removed, which will cause a great sense of loss and hopelessness, because they will no longer have any kind of connection with their creator.

We need to base our understanding of God's word on scripture itself.

Hell is the suffering of death approx. 70 years of living suffering. It as to the foundation of the doctrine is the punishment spoken of given to Cain in the garden. One that he could not bear. It marked him 666 the number of unconverted mankind. The sign meaning hands off let him suffer or you will suffer with him. No death penalty the easy way out. Cain should of bought the gospel rather than selling it out thinking he hid the evidence. Esau also seeing no value in the unseen things of God sold the birth rite for a cup of goat soup.

There is not one reason to believe it goes on other than under the sun when a person does have a memory. When unbelievers dies their suffering dies with them . God is not a God of vengeance but is a God of mercy. Christ suffered a living suffering as did Jonah.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Yes there is division. Body and spirit .(1) The soul as the desires of the mind under the power as the essence of the spirit life ( the unseen faith law. ) and separated from (2) the body . . Joints and marrow as dust. That seen the temporal

The spirit as the essence of life is needed for a mind to function as to the desires of the soul or heart. Mankind's corrupted heart and soul is desperately wicked as in who can know it. What we need is a new born again spirit as in let the mind of Christ dwell in us.

When a person departs from under the Sun .If they have not been freely given a new born again spirit , their corrupted spirit will rise and return to the father of all spirit life, never to rise to new life and new incorruptible body. The former things will not be remembered or ever come to mind forever more.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Mankind would need a spirit in order to do the work of suffering. Death as in dying is the sentence being carried out. The wrath of God revealed from heaven . when Jesus cried out drinking that cup the father answered and strengthened him keeping his body from corrupting " separation of the body and the spirit". You could say he was in Good hands as they worked together in perfect harmony to give us the peace of the gospel surpassing our own understanding.

James2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

In that way we are saved by and through His labor of love or work of faith .Not our own self. We had no faith that could please him . What we needed was the faith the son had in the father who worked with the Son as one, called "one faith" as a work

I hope you watched the video in the OP.
The spirit in eccl 12:7 as per the version of the bible you quoted came from God. He gave it.
Does this include the spirit of the wicked?
