Torah also means instruction, but I am speaking about the Ten Commandment, I believe they are not done away with, I believe they are now stored in the minds and written in the hearts which is the new covenant.
Yet you still can not obey every one so they still will condemn you on the spot as the ministration of death written by Gods own hands in stone

They are. They're the moral part of God's law.
You'll find Christians that say it is impossible to obey what are also known as, "The Ten Words" of God.
Think about that. Think about those ten words, those ten commands.
The person who says it isn't possible to honor those is likely a sociopath, psychopath, criminal, ignorant of what the 10 commandments teach, or lying.

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall make no idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
  4. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet.

Well, having gone to a few messianic congregations gatherings I dont think its compulsory for them either but they just used to tradition that die hard. (eg eating kosher foods)
I think it doesnt make anyone holier than a gentile Christian who is saved.
-----------------

Though it doesn't make one holy, it has all to do with obedient to God, but I would not make judgment on the Gentile believers because the Apostle Paul it was fine with the Holy Spirit except it be for things. But, one would think that as they grow in the Lord they would learn the truth of God's word. Remember it was fine with the Holy Spirit which does not mean that God done away with the law on the unclean food.

If you can eat anything because you pray, will you eat gorilla, I am throwing this question to make you think because God will not go against his own law that he establish and this is why the Apostle Paul said, "it was fine with the Holy Spirit" because he Knew down the road they would learn the truth of God's word.

When Peter was given the vision did he disobeyed God when he was told to eat from the unclean animal? No!, God was making a distinction between an unclean animal and a man that he cleanse. Another thing, when the possessed man approached Yeshua, where did Yeshua that legion of demons? He sent them to that which was unclean, the swines. I am just elaborating so you can weigh this topic.

I am not here to change your mind, that is not my job!

I have read the book of Galatians numerous times and started to read it again. Today I was reading Galatians 5:1-15, look at verse one, the Apostle Paul said be not entangled (twisted together) again with the yoke of bondage. The question that one has to ask, what did he mean with the yoke of bondage because God will not give a yoke of bondage. If you read Genesis 3:1 it will clarify this... the serpent twisted the commandment of God, he told Adam and Eve to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, in the same manner the law of God was tristed. The Epistle to the Galatians has nothing to do with doing away with the law, but much to do with putting the law in its right perspective. Continue reading this passage, for all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself which is why Yeshua commended the teacher of the law, but the teacher of the law.

The Pharisees have distorted the laws of God and the believers have done aways with them because they have convinced themselves from the distorted teachings of the Pharisees that the law was all about work, when in fact they distorted the law and that is what the Apostle Paul was referring to when he said, O Foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you. OPEN YOUR EYES!

What God showed Peter was for Peter benefit so he could fellowship with the believing gentiles i.e eat with them. didnt mean he had to actually eat what was deemed unclean if he didnt like it but not to call gentiles unclean because they ate everything.
They still had this rule about not eating things that were strangled or had blood in it..this was for the hebrew believers benefit.

another was no fornication. I think people found it hard to keep this one since so many gentiles were the product of fornication but they had to learn not to keep doing it. I mean its still rampant even today people just assume as soon as anyone hits puberty they are going to be sexually active.

good to know you think yu are better than every other person who ever lived but Christ.

just for the record

saying one can not keep these ten commands perfectly as God demands is not saying they are no longer valid

when you have something that you love so much It takes your time away fromGod on a regular basis, you have broken the ten commands, most people do not realise this, the look to the letter, and say, yep. I have not broken them, I keep them

well yeah the pharisees thought this also.

one thing about Paul the more spiritually mature he got. The more of a sinner he realized he was, why? He realized the true nature of sins

when a person tells you they keep the ten commands. That should be a warning sign that there is some pride which needs to be broken and some knowledge which needs to be learned

You are correct and if you read the context of the way I wrote, he made a distinction between unclean animals and man, what God had made clean do not call unclean. The law of clean and unclean pertaining to animals still stands. Gentiles adapted to the distorted teaching of the Pharisees when it came to the law and that is what the Epistles to the Galatians is talking about, O foolish Galatians, who had bewitched you. The Apostle Paul was teaching to put the law in it right perspective, not to entangle them.

Though the context clears it, I could have been a little more clearer, thanks for elaborating on it.

Do you think people become Judaizers because they have rejected Grace?

Or do you think it is because they have no understanding of scripture?

I think its the first one. The ancient Hebrews rejected Gods Grace and were given the Law because of that transgression. I think its what everyone gets who rejects Grace. And because of this rejection of Grace there is a vail over the Judaizers minds when the OT is read.

Galatians 5:1-4
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Galatians is really simple. I don't see how a person could really complicate it unless they had an agenda and TRIED to complicate it.

Are you so FOOLISH? Having started in the Spirit are you perfected by your flesh/work?

No, of course not. Only someone who is foolish would think that they start in Spirit and perfect themselves by their flesh and work.

That one verse contradicts most of what the Judaizer and legalist tries to preach.

Do you think its a GRIEVOUS mistake to reject Gods Grace and try to teach others to do the same?

It wasn't personally directed at you. However, if you feel it resonates to you personally, that which I generalize with the word, anyone, that is your conscience feeling pricked. It is not my words calling you out by name.

Do you think you're the one that shall break me?
One who insists murder is OK, theft is OK, idolatry is OK, disrespect of their parent(s) is OK, Coveting others possessions is OK, Lying is OK, dishonoring God is OK, Adultery is OK, taking God's name in vain is OK, as is Polytheism, shall never break me. I stand with God's words, and His Holy Spirit abides in me.
Whereas you? You deserve this,
.
May that which has hold of you soon lose its grip. May God light the path to the way, the truth, and the eternal irrevocable life that awaits all who humble themselves , repent, and believe they are worth more than to die in their sins. Amen.

What will it take for people to realise admitting to self and God you can’t keep the ten commands in a way he requires (perfection) is not the same as excusing sin.

Have you considered that rebuttal you share, admitting to self and God ..... and where it stands when we are told God wrote those laws on our hearts and so that we would never be separated from them.
Would God write His laws on our heart, the heart of the redeemed, those who's light should shine to the world and as that example of what being indwelt with Holy Spirit God leads to in righteousness? And how do we come to practice righteousness but by obeying God's commands because we love Him. And that then shows we love Him.

If you think you obey the ten commands, you are in serious trouble, especially since God requires perfection, and tells us if we obey every command, yet stumble in only one of them, we are found guilty of The Who law. (James)

if we think we have made it, we are decieved, if we say we have no sin, we are decieved.

you keep writting as If I think it is ok to sin, or to do whatever.

everytime you do this, you bear false witness against me

either show you can understand what people say. Or please just stop responding.it gets really tiring tryi g to explain to people what you think, and continually being told you really think something which is not true.

The laws of God are grounded in love. The ten words, the ten commandments, denote love of God and love of one's neighbor as themselves.
Imagine what you say really when you tell me, I can't really not commit murder, or theft, or adultery.

When you think the ten commands no longer apply to the Christian, you might consider what Jesus said about them in His ministry. It saves time to post this which I saved awhile ago. Now I know why. :)

Blessings.
Commandment 1 "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Matthew 4:10). "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and the great commandment" (Matthew 22:37). "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment" (Mark 12:30). "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Luke 4:8).

Commandment 2 "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Matthew 4:10). "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Luke 4:8). "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24). "But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam...to eat things sacrificed to idols" (Revelation 2:14). "Nevertheless, I have a few things against you, because you allow...My servants to...eat things sacrificed to idols" (Revelation 2:20).

Commandment 3 "pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name" (Matthew 6:9). "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men" (Matthew 12:31). "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,...blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man" (Matthew 15:19-20). "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts ... blasphemy, pride, foolishness" (Mark 7:20-22).

Commandment 4 "What man is there among you who has one sheep, and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath" (Matthew 12:11-12). "And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath" (Matthew 24:20); there would be no reason to pray this if the Sabbath was not going to be in existence. "And He said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath'" (Mk 2:27); this verse tells all who will see which day is the Lord's Day. "And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue" (Mark 6:2). "And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read" (Luke 4:16). "Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths" (Luke 4:31). "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath...Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?" (Luke 6:5,9). "But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath...The Lord then answered him and said, 'Hypocrite...So ought not this woman...be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?'" (Luke 13:14-16). "'Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?'...And they could not answer Him regarding these things" (Luke 14:3,6). "are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?" (John 7:23).

Commandment 5 "For God commanded saying, 'Honor your father and your mother' and 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death'" (Matthew 15:4). "Honor your father and your mother" (Matthew 19:19). "Honor your father and your mother" (Mark 7:10). "Honor your father and your mother" (Mark 10:19). "You know the commandments:...Honor your father and your mother" (Luke 18:20).

Commandment 6 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder', and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment. But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment" (Matthew 5:21-22). "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders...These are the things which defile a man" (Matthew 15:19-20). "You shall not murder" (Matthew 19:18). "...murders...All these evil things come from within and defile a man" (Mark 7:21,23). "Do not murder" (Mark 10:19). "You know the commandments:...Do not murder" (Luke 18:20).

Commandment 7 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery'. But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:27-28). "But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery" (Matthew 5:32). "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts...adulteries, fornications...These are the things which defile a man" (Matthew 15:19-20). "And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery, and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery" (Matthew 19:9). "You shall not commit adultery" (Matthew 19:18). "...adulteries, fornications...All these evil things come from within and defile a man" (Mark 7:21,23). "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery" (Mark 10:11-12). "Do not commit adultery" (Mark 10:19). "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery" (Luke 16:18). "You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery" (Luke 18:20). "'Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery'...And Jesus said to her...'sin no more'" (John 8:4,11). "Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation" (Revelation 2:22).

Commandment 8 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts...thefts...These are the things which defile a man" (Matthew 15:19-20). "You shall not steal" (Mat 19:18). "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer', but you have made it a den of thieves" (Matthew 21:13). "...thefts...All these evil things come from within and defile a man" (Mark 7:22-23). "Do not steal" (Mark 10:19). "You know the commandments:... Do not steal" (Luke 18:20).

Commandment 9 "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord. But I say to you, do not swear at all" (Matthew 5:33-34). "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts...false witness...These are the things which defile a man" (Matthew 15:19-20). "You shall not bear false witness" (Matthew 19:18). "Do not bear false witness" (Mark 10:19). "You know the commandments:...Do not bear false witness" (Luke 18:20). "And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars" (Revelation 2:2).

Commandment 10 "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on" (Matthew 6:25). "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts...These are the things which defile a man" (Matthew 15:19-20). "...covetousness...All these evil things come from within and defile a man" (Mark 7:22-23).

"I have kept My Father's commandments" (John 15:10).
So it is clear that Jesus taught everyone of the ten commandments and that He also kept them.

Jesus is the only one who perfectly kept Gods commands

otherwise we would be doomed

once again, if you think you can go along time without stumbling in one command. You are in serious trouble and I would start to pray to,ask God to show your your weakness and sin area.

I know about the commands, I am not discussing what they are, we are discussing the idea of can we really keep, them or not

yes God wrote them on,y heart, it does not mean I keep them 24/7 and do not at least once fail to love my god above all things and my neighbor,

Amen.

In the past, I posted something like what you posted but they still think the law has to do with works. Abraham had laws and commandments (Genesis 26:5), but it was faith that pulled him through. Today, as I was writing the Spirit of God enlightened my mind with the following, when it came to circumcision the Jews identified themselves with Moses, but the covenant of the circumsion was made with Abraham, they would say that Abraham was their father, but they stressed on the law of Moses not the faith of Abraham. If they would have leaned to Abraham, all believers would have lived by faith and been obedient to the law of God.

I have been told that I was telling people on this board that they were wrong and I asked them to show me were I said they were wrong, what I said, I put it on the table it is not my job to convince them. They were the ones telling me I was wrong. Think about this, if I was not telling them that they were wrong, who were they hearing that from? I blocked eternally-gratifull, grandpa, and another person because all they do is repeat themselves in different forms, do not read or have a problem with reading comprehensions or fabricate false statements. eternally-gratifull in my opinion appears to not like to read, he sees something he does not like and immediately attacks without responding to the rest. I have asked him about 14 times to read the story when the teacher of the law tested Yeshua and please explain, never once did he respond, why, because it is clear from that passage of the Scriptures that Yeshua acknowledge the importance of the law and if the law was done away with he would had made it clear there.

Well said. :)

The Net has proven to be an outlet for the worst kind of people to find more territory wherein they are able to exercise their worst side. The anonymity factor being deeply inviting because when one is not seen, like unto an invisible man/woman, it becomes easier to express what possibly has been repressed and thus pent up over time.
Craig's List for example. Terrible headlines have been made due to that one site. A serial killer even utilized the site to hunt for victims. And found them. :( God have mercy.

Think about it. No one can see you. No one knows your face, name, location. How tempting for those who rarely refuse to engage in any temptation. Even the worst possible evils, like that of a serial killer.

When I first got on the Net it was because my twin had passed on and left me her house, turns out her computer also, even though someone she knew, loved, and trusted, had downloaded every file she had stored, and due to her direction in her will, in the event I wanted to clean it and sell it and buy new.
I did clean it, but I still have her files. Using it makes me feel close to her even when she's gone.

I searched for Christians in community my first day on the Web. What fun. A whole community of sisters and brothers to meet with all over the world. :)
Boy was I naive. Because as we know where there is light there is darkness. And where there is darkness, there is light that it be exposed.
The rose colored glasses fell away rather quickly I'm afraid.
I think our passion for Christ and His word leads us to focus on leading people to proper understanding. And when this is not soon coming, we can grow frustrated.
And conversely those who are passionate in their love of Christ and understanding of His word, who may feel differently than we, do the same.
We're still human after all.

On the Net it is not always easy to recognize the wheat and the tares. Such is the anonymous mask that lets some pretend rather well.

We're certainly not going to stop such things. What I think I'm working most to learn is to stop tilting at windmills when it becomes very obvious that someone doesn't accept what is my understanding of scripture. It is the passion for the Truth I think that leads us to wish all people, especially those we encounter on line, find that truth. And sometimes we don't realize, Truth isn't what some people are after.

Trust in the Lord in all things. It isn't your, my, responsibility to make people see things our way.

We can hope to guide the sincere to the way. However, it has always been God who shines the light on the True path.

Blessings.

Beautifully stated... "The Net has proven to be an outlet for the worst kind of people to find more territory wherein they are able to exercise their worst side" and true, when one is not seen, like unto an invisible man/woman, it becomes easier to express what possibly has been repressed and thus pent up over time (Both useful).

I find myself less on the internet and rarely on the phone and it was my choice. People are captured by the net that they speak what they believe, but most likely they do not pick up the Scriptures. I have a site and put a lesson on it once in a while, I think you will enjoy the lesson on Josiah, what is most important is not finding the truth, but what you do with it once you have it. Just like you stated about the net, in the same bible you hear a lot that they study the Scriptures, but in reality they are speaking what they have been taught.

We were conditioned to not escape the internet, nor the phones and the moment that came to my understanding, I am not on the internet as in the past and when I do get on it is to read news, respond to post, but being that I live abroad, the internet is really the only thing I have. When I get to back to the states, if I eliminated 50%, I will removed another 25%. I met many people on the internet in the past, but only 3 I keep in touch with and posthuman I just recently my personal email to. He truthfully reads and weighs the post fairly, we have differences, but he stated things that makes sense and even if we disagree I am able to elaborate on view not just because I disagree with him once in a while, but he writes in a way that my mind is able to open up to lean more on what God made clear when he first spoke and I am glad that I can call him a brother in Yeshua.

As previously stated, I have been reading the book of Galatians and in that book the Apostle Paul does not mention anything about the law being done away with, but about putting the law in its right perspective.
God bless you
