I really do not get the sense that was what you were after.. the question seemed to be more around if such a person was actually saved ... I personally think hypothetical statements are best used in grade eight science class.

Paul told the Corinthians to examine themselves whether they were in the faith. Take it up with him if you have issues with me saying that if a person can blithely leave his wife and become an harlot, or if a man can be a habitual liar, or unforgiving, or a blasphemer or a sorcerer or a thief, that such an one does well to take inventory and make sure he is not an unregenerate person. That is, examine himself

The Bible is clear about those who practice such things. Add that to your doctrine and keep osas and you do well. Because what the Bible says about practices of such things is just as biblical as Jesus loses none of His own

You do realize that Paul uses hypothetical questions, right? I think Paul’s education was slightly better than an eighth grader

a. The bible is it's best commentary

b. Paul was inspired and the bible covers everything

C. And not mouthing, but you and I are not Paul, neither are we inspired to add our own hypothetical situations to the word.

We should not go beyond what is given in the word, it is sufficient

If a person is in willful, habitual sin and is fine with it, is it possible that person was never saved. Not talking about other people, if a person is in habitual deliberate sin, is it possible they are deceiving themselves? Yes or no

Not talking about us judging them, talking about a person examining themselves.

David loved the Lord, was a man after God's own heart, chosen by GOD, writes most Psalms, and yet committed a premeditate murder to cover up adultery and a a child....Under the law he should have been stoned to death yet GOD shows mercy and a big picture of JESUS in the fact that the INNOCENT son of DAVID took his place in DEATH <---Just as JESUS does......

YET he never lost salvation (the joy of salvation yes)
He suffered rebellion in his house
He suffered the sword in his house all the days of his life
He suffered physically with disease

ALL chastening of the LORD........

HAVE mercy on me thou SON of DAVID <---cried the old man

SALVATION is eternally secure, we cannot lose it, forfeit it, give it away.........

we should look at the persons faith, or should a rather say that person should look at his faith.

God will take care of the sin issue, through chastening and whatever means he has if the person is a child. If the person is not a child. He will continue with no repercussions.

Jesus said in that verse he never knew them. If the verses were referring to born again believers, the addition of the word never would not be there because in that case he would have knew them for a time and then did not.

The workers can not fathom, jesus was talking to THEM, not licentious believers

a licentious believer would not be puffinng up their works, they did not have any!

(Rev 22:19) They are blotted out of the Lambs book of Life (Psa 69:28) as if they never existed, the same as the sins of the righteous are blotted out in the sea of His forgetfulness never to be remembered against us any more, and Jesus will say to the unrighteous, “I never knew you.”
