Romans 3:24-26
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Why does the bible call it a gift all of a sudden?!😯
Does this mean.... no no no
.... we couldn't have God's mercy and the righteousness of Christ to place out hope in right?.... That would be unbelievable.
How could that be when the way of the world which seems right to man is to work and earn..... Surely we could do enough to keep something as precious as salvation with a little help..... God just needs to give us a push and then suuuuurely we could do enough to earn what He offers based on merit....

hahaha. sounds like something sergeant would tell us in the army. its like this: one person dont make their bed right in the morning and we all had to take our matresses with us and in our boxers run around the compound in -20celcius degrees then we do bed again and if wrong again then run again.

Not by works but by sin they cry ............
Not by works but by cleansing and purity that comes through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour they cry ............
If we are not cleansed then how can we ever be pure and holy, only sin remains, but then there is no love and communion with God and we have sacrificed the only relationship in the world that could save us.

As normal without specifics, the label is unhelpful. Many denominations would agree with the statement above.
But maybe this group here are very far away from the central protestant theological consensus.

i cant wait to be married really. is anyone here single for a long time? how on earth do you avoid fornication for that long time like apostle st.paul and others? come on man.

We avoid it by fleeing from the temptations and praying for deliverance from them when they blindside us.
I have not so much as held a ladies hand since being made new but literally months before this wouldn't be above casually having relations with women and not thinking twice about it being "wrong"....
Finding a loving wife or husband who is in Christ is amazing for many reasons outside of a sexual but also holy relationship. Though to avoid fornication but also have a physically intimate relationship you must marry.
(one man, one woman in marriage = no fornication)
