The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

The Parable of the Tares Explained
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Do you believe the parable is talking about Jesus returning in the Second Advent? It is a parable of the kingdom of heaven.

I would suspect it relates to the Great White Throne Judgement.

The Great White Throne Judgment
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before [c]God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second [d]death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

TULIP and Calvinism is totally destroyed by scripture it’s not even worth the breath.

When I started first reading about it just made me indifferent and even downright pure evil towards others.

Screw them they aren’t elect they (the reprobate) will burn in hell mauhahaha.

To each their own.

Also the what? I agree with you on the timing of it. I just thought I should mention it since my belief on the parable is quite unorthodox compared to mainline protestants.

Sorry, I see that i left my response incomplete. Had intended to respond.

1) The conventional interpretation is that the field is potentially the world as a whole with the wheat being the church and the tares being the rest of the unsaved multitude.
2) However another thought (the one I believe might be the actual interpretation) is that the field is the entire spectrum of those who call themselves Christians. And this sifting of wheat and tares happens within the church. The tares most likely being those who call Him Lord, Lord but are granted no entrance. I believe there is a lot more scriptural support for this interpretation when seen through various other parables such as Sons vs Slaves, Sheep vs Goats, Wise Virgins vs Foolish Virgins, etc etc.

Many of the teachers I have listened to made the second case. However if you read Jesus' explanation of the parable Jesus says the field is "the world" not "the Church"

But perhaps they take it then to mean the Church that is "in the world" so world wide Church.
