Christian Water Baptism IS SOMETHING YOU DO AFTER YOU ARE SAVED, when the Holy Spirit Himself indwells you, giving you genuine Faith.
Christian Water Baptism is only important, as a PUBLIC Identification with CHRIST HIMSELF as LORD of your LIFE.
It is one of the First few steps of Walking like Christ.
The Immersion of you being BAPTIZED into the Spiritual Body of the LORD, by the Holy Spirit Himself; IS THE BAPTISM THAT SAVES YOU.
No it is not Being Baptized in the Holy Spirit. He is doing the Baptism. You usually go through a deep conviction of SIN in your Heart. Then it happen moments after the word of SALVATION, that has penetrated your Heart or Human Spirit, where you willingly out of LOVE for HIM, receive HIM as LORD, which means MASTER. No that is not works righteousness, IT IS A WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
1 Corinthians 12:3 (HCSB)
3 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and
no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
[.If it is not simply a profession, what HE is talking about is a genuine Confession that happens in your Heart (Human Spirit) Rom 10:8-10.]
Then sometime after that, you WILL decide to be BAPTIZED, as a Public Identification with JESUS. But that first MOMENT of TRUE FAITH, you were SAVED, and given Eternal Life in your Human Spirit.

Sure, it’s not hard to find nominal Christians on this forum and other Christian forums and God’s warnings are applicable for them.
Just like Judas......they think they are right while being oblivious that currently their destiny is sealed by their own mouth!

So is it fair to then post these warnings on the forum (generally)? Without the usual resorting to works salvationist abuses that are thrown back?

I know....anything outside of OSAS is Catholism ... so obviously true.
It is sickening and as obvious as the day is long.......two threads through the bible....
a. Those who by faith trusted God and LET him do what he said he would do
b. The deceivers that HAD to HELP GOD do what GOD said he would do
And it is obvious which group in this thread wears the shoes found in B above.....

Continuous Striving to Be like HIM, and it gets easier as you Mature spiritually, so let your light SHINE.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CONTINUE TO BE SAVED, that is a false doctrine. YOU are SAVED at the Moment You GENUINELY BELIEVED.
A FREE GIFT. You only have the sin that is conquered that lies between your fingers; when in reality IT IS A great big Iceberg.
When I first GOT SAVED for the first couple of weeks, I thought like you do. Then I discovered that Omitting to Do everything in HIS WILL, was equally a SIN. Then I discovered thoughts were Equally considered to be sin; then I discovered unintentional sins were EQUALLY SIN, etc., etc. When I fully understood the Sin Nature, that is why I came to the reality, that the worst Mass Murderer on Death ROW, IS NOT A WORSE SINNER than ME, I am as BAD OF A SINNER AS HIM.
THAT'S WHEN I DISCOVERED THIS VERSE:

That verse KNOCKED all my law keeping False Doctrine in the GUTTER where it belongs, and then I REALIZED HE PAID IT ALL! I cried for 2 to 3 hours that Night I was saved, I should have cried some more. If I keep striving to walk like HE does, out of LOVE FOR HIM, ever improving, and ever willing to confess sin when I fail, I am on the right PATH. The NARROW ROAD.
You Probably understand that all your PAST SINS and PRESENT SINS were Paid for by HIS BLOOD ON THE CROSS.
Now what you do not understand, is EVERY ONE OF YOUR FUTURE SINS WERE PAID IN FULL BY THE BLOOD ON THE CROSS.
NO, THAT IS NOT A LICENSE TO SIN, IF YOU REALLY ARE SAVED, YOU WILL KNOW EVERY ONE OF THOSE SINS, WAS A ONE POUND WEIGHT YOU PUT ON HIM, WHILE ON THE CROSS. You WILL want to continually strive to eliminate as much of that sin as you can, simply BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM. It NEVER PAYS FOR ANYTHING. It is just a way to LOVE HIM BACK for taking MY SIN on HIM - all Past, all present, and all future SINS, are PAID IN FULL BY THE BLOOD OF THE CROSS.
