yup

you get it

I am also from another country...Canada...but I live in the US

and I wish Canada had more of the patriotic desire to make that a better country the way so many Americans do down here

you know what they say...you don't know what you have until it's gone
All my friends who are christian and moved from socialist places feel as we do!
I pray the americans wake up before they give into this notion - that FREE means free. NOTHING is ever free. When the governments gives you something - you will pay. If not in dollars - then in freedom and control.

Blessings

Americans are eating themselves up from the inside out

and way too many American Christians seem to think God is going to just step in and take care of matters

too many churches have become political platforms instead of Christ centered, they are activist centered

you are quite correct in what you state

Are you familiar with the term 'Full Gospel Christians?' It means whole gospel, gifts of the Holy Ghost and miracles believing in, Bible thumping, evangelical Christians. I wouldn't join a church that believes anything to the contrary. There's even sort of a club for business men and entrepreneurs named the "Full Gospel Business Mens' Assn." they hold weekly prayer breakfasts before work.
Ha, I consider myself Full Gospel too .. I've attended many different denominations but my claim is non-denomination ..

The point of the video was that those founding fathers were nothing like I was taught in school .. I was taught a lie, that they were ''only deists'' and it is a lie .. Like the ''evolution'' lie I was taught in school , it made me angry when I learned the real Truth ..

Personally I think I am okay with Pastors being a little political because they are our Shepherds. BUT they should also understand the bible and what would be a biblical standpoint to Politics.

There is this amazing book I read a while back (I probably thought it was amazing because I agreed with all the points he made lol) but it is called "Jesus outside the lines" by Scott Sauls - a book which tried to depict how Jesus would have navigated the political climate in our time. I especially loved what He had to say for instance about the Homosexuality issue.

I would totally suggest a read - but I have a feeling we probably would agree on most things and in that case you already understand what he is trying to say ;)

It did help me to feel that I am doing a good job navigating these waters in a Christ like way as well as I am able and encouraged me to keep on standing the way I do even though nobody around me seems to agree with me.

truly off beat post here

God only called ONE nation to be His own...ISRAEL

the US is not Israel and if God does not want any human leaders then why did He call Moses...and so many others?

if anything, if anything at all, God has extended time to a nation that was in a death dive

it is a shame people do not recognize it and pray instead of grumping about and snorting self righteousness all over the place

we are to humble ourselves before God...find it...that is in scripture...we are also to pray for our leaders..apparently you prefer to judge and condemn because you have the mistaken notion you know better than does God who raises a king up and puts another one down

do you actually want this country to be destroyed?

…9Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. 11Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. And if you judge the law, you are not a practitioner of the law, but a judge of it.…
James 4
I agree, the US is not Israel , but I do believe God chose the United States of America to be the superpower on earth at the time God re-birthed Israel May 14 1948 for us to help mid-wife and be friends/supporters of Israel until they become strong and independent again and beyond .. Donald J Trump in my opinion is called and has been a big part of Gods plan for Israel's favor ..

I would be ok with pastors advocating what the Bible states regarding how to deal with politics...which includes praying for those in power

I am not ok with pastors telling people who to vote for :)

these days we live in are difficult and the only way I know how to deal, is to look up because even Christians are getting less and less dependable...some saying that homosexuality is ok now cause we live in a different time...yet if you read Revelation, that is not what you find

sadly, some even think all the things in Revelation have already happened.....called preterists

anyway, it seems we do agree on quite a bit and I'm good with that :giggle:

I would say I agree that God uses the materials 'at hand' to achieve His purposes

that would include Trump

frankly, I am in a wait and see kind of attitude towards the upheavals occurring in this world

I wrote what I did in response to the other poster because you cannot take what God said to ONE nation and apply it across the board

there are some things that were specific for Israel alone. the US as a nation, is not in covenant with God, nor is any other nation

Well I strongly believe that we never see the whole truth.
We only see what we are supposed to see.

However: I have friends who are Iranian for instance and I spoke to them specifically to find out how they feel about the happenings. And they all agreed that they are very happy that President Trump did what he did.
Since Ayatollah Khomeini's coup in 1979 Iran has not seen any fairness or freedom at all. The Iranians of my Generation and younger wish for an open, liberated Iran and under Sharia Law this will never be possible for them. Many aren't Christian but they Certainly are not Muslim. They have to pretend to be Muslim however to survive. Many are in their desperation turning to witchcraft and other weird beliefs and have fallen into unnatural sexual sins - which they hide and desperately hope not to be discovered. Education for Girls is getting more and more restricted. It is a terrifying place to live - and has been.

Before '79 Iran was prospering and their borders were open to trade and they invited progress into their country, as you might know already. So it is heart breaking to see how the dark ages took over a country of such beauty. Especially since Persian Empire always were one that prized it's knowledge and superior culture.

We will see how it continues to progress. My heart and prayers are for the Iranian people. I pray it won't come to war but I also pray that they will be liberated from the blanket of Islam.

I think that anyone who thinks Christians should not be involved with politics in the US are short sighted but it's not my business .. I would not want a preacher that didn't have thoughts on politics or could not reasonably apply biblical principles to approve or disapprove government and at the least to know what to pray .. I've been waiting and praying for some one like we have now for a long time ..
We were so close to abandoning Israel in the UN it was scary close .. And Israel is probably the most secular nation in the middle east, for now .. Also , what happens when they do build their Temple ? Is that good or bad for the world ?
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

I've met and worked with a couple Iranians and they were both dear people, one was a Christian .. I've heard there is a Christian revival going on in the middle east and other parts of the world .. Awesome news if true ..

My younger brother had a friend from Iran who came over with his mother and his father stayed to try and salvage something from the family carpet business...and they never heard from him again

it is beyond tragic what happened in Iran...they were progressive and free

yes. they should be liberated

I watched a woman in a interview over seas when asked about TRUTH and he said I think some Americans might disagree with you she said "I don't lie. I don't think I have ever lied or ever will". I voted for Trump. Its not the flesh the lord sees. And Trump his heart is with God. Its clear to see. Granted everything he does is perfect and no other can do better lol. And then who now is running against him?

We all know Trump from the past.. yeah hes Trump. But the others? Up down back and forth saying things. Flip flop on everything...it would seem. I look back over 8 years under Obama vs Trump 3 years. Yeah.. something is better. When he talks about 401k which we never ever looked at. PRAISE GOD.. WOW.. just WOW! And then months ago while driving we were shocked at how many "HELP WANTED"... makes you cry. Something good happened. Then to watch Preachers praying for him. Him giving GOD glory.. on and on.

Obama.. their never coming back. Ooops

I guess it depends on how you see it Bro ..
Israel is God's chosen no doubt , they have constantly backslid and been restored .. I still believe God had/has special plans for America .. George Washington personally chose the Bible to swear his oath as 1rst President on and chose a/the very appropriate imo Deuteronomy 28 to open it to, did God lead GW to choose it ? .. I would say God prepares us for his plans too .. American Revolution, WWI, WWII even the Civil War for correction , there were thousands of miles of roads built/prepared by the Romans before Jesus give us the great commission to take the Gospel to the world .. Since May 14 1948 Israel has been building getting stronger and prepared for the End Time, right now they are still not close, but closer .. In the Desert God could have killed the Amalekites? but instead protected the Israelites from them until He brought them from a slave mentality and prepared them to be strong and fearsome again , then God said ''now go get'm and kill everything alive among them'' .. Pharaoh relented a couple times to let the Hebrews go then hardened his heart and refused .. God then hardened his heart for him and it was over for Pharaoh .. God said he was raised for that purpose ..

Wherefore come out from among them, and be you separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing;
and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith The Lord Almighty.

after our conversion, '82' - God immediately separated us from the world and began to teach us our 'boundaries' -
we have kept these ever since, and have had perfect about all such things since...

Not hard for me....who is against abortion, pro Israel, and that leans pro Christian (regardless of their personal claim of Christianity, pro American worker, pro Military and diametrically opposed to left wingism.......!!

We are not electing a Pastor teacher, but rather a President of a Gentile world power!

Many Christians say that they didn’t vote for him to be a model Christian but they voted for a president to represent America.
