Truly miscellaneous: My portable Clippers

This passt week I obtained some hair and beard clippers. They work very well, but today, after leaving it off for about three days fully charged, it went out without finishing one ue. I have it charging now, after refisiting the manual to satisfy my concerns that I may have done it wrong. No, I did not, so I am charging it again.

Anyone here experienced with such a problem, your advice is welcome, otherwise I may be compelled to return it to where I bought it. Thank you, and god bless you for hearing me.

The lithium ion Sears battery chargers I have are pretty smart, still , I don't like to leave them parked on the charger all the time, I am told li batteries operate best at 30 to 80 percent.
I have seen Lithium Ion batteries develop a "memory".

I do not know much about batteries, but I did exactly what was told me to do. It was supposed to last two hours of usage after a charge. It lasted about twenty minutes.

I am going to charge it (I am right now) for aabout a half hour longer than it instrcts since it did not seem to take. I did do the restacking routine when I bought it, so that is not in the equasion.

I forgot to mention, I charged it plugged into an octopus with its own switch, could that have prevented it from charging properly?

if inadvertently switched off perhaps, I don't know what type of switch either, last I heard Lithium ion was the way to fly and should be charged and discharged a few through normal usage for best results. What do they have?

Li-ion batteries can be killed by leaving them on the charger... but everybody knows that, so most devices have an internal cutoff to stop battery charge after it is full. I don't think you killed the battery by anything you did.

An "octopus" I'm assuming is a multi-port charger. As long as the unit is getting power, using a power splitter shouldn't be a factor.

Unfortunately the only thing I can say is "These things happen sometimes" and shrug. There's a lot of cheaply made electronics these days.

Thanks a lot. I also suspect the time it will run is probably only after charging and using it immediately...… I blew up part of the insstructions and saw some kind of battery being removed, and it looked as though aa wire had to be cut to do it??? Make any sense to you…...to anyone?
