I voted for Trump but I have trouble answering this question. Overall I think he supports the issues Christians care about, but his personal life/morality leave a lot to be desired. People always point out his divorces, cheating on his marriages with porn stars, disrespectful to women, boastful, anti-immigrant/racist, the list goes on.

What is your best response, especially about his personal life? People don't buy the "everyone is a sinner" argument.

President Trump’s personal life has not interfered in his success as President. There is nothing you can say to rabid haters except, MAGA! Then shake the dust off your feet.

Everyone's a sinner. Tell a few lies here and there, fire dissenters, put your own business interests before the country's.....look no one's perfect. I still got my hair. Not bad for 73!

Hello @TheIndianGirl, you may find this helpful. Samaritan's Purse President, Franklin Graham (Billy and Ruth Graham's son), wrote a letter to Christianity Today Magazine concerning their recent, controversial editorial calling for the removal of President Trump from office. Graham, who normally doesn't get involved in these kind of affairs, had this to say in response to it.

My Response to Christianity Today:
Christianity Today released an editorial stating that President Trump should be removed from office—and they invoked my father’s name (I suppose to try to bring legitimacy to their statements), so I feel it is important for me to respond. Yes, my father Billy Graham founded Christianity Today; but no, he would not agree with their opinion piece. In fact, he would be very disappointed. I have not previously shared who my father voted for in the past election, but because of this article, I feel it is necessary to share it now. My father knew Donald Trump, he believed in Donald Trump, and he voted for Donald Trump. He believed that Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation.
For Christianity Today to side with the Democrat Party in a totally partisan attack on the President of the United States is unfathomable. Christianity Today failed to acknowledge that not one single Republican voted with the Democrats to impeach the President. I know a number of Republicans in Congress, and many of them are strong Christians. If the President were guilty of what the Democrats claimed, these Republicans would have joined with the Democrats to impeach him. But the Democrats were not even unanimous—two voted against impeachment and one voted present. This impeachment was politically motivated, 100% partisan. Why would Christianity Today choose to take the side of the Democrat left whose only goal is to discredit and smear the name of a sitting president? They want readers to believe the Democrat leadership rather than believe the President of the United States.
Look at all the President has accomplished in a very short time. The economy of our nation is the strongest it has been in 50 years, ISIS & the caliphate have been defeated, and the President has renegotiated trade deals to benefit all Americans. The list of accomplishments is long, but for me as a Christian, the fact that he is the most pro-life president in modern history is extremely important—and Christianity Today wants us to ignore that, to say it doesn’t count? The President has been a staunch defender of religious freedom at home and around the world—and Christianity Today wants us to ignore that? Also the President has appointed conservative judges in record number—and Christianity today wants us to ignore that? Christianity Today feels he should be removed from office because of false accusations that the President emphatically denies.
Christianity Today said it’s time to call a spade a spade. The spade is this—Christianity Today has been used by the left for their political agenda. It’s obvious that Christianity Today has moved to the left and is representing the elitist liberal wing of evangelicalism.
Is President Trump guilty of sin? Of course he is, as were all past presidents and as each one of us are, including myself. Therefore, let’s pray for the President as he continues to lead the affairs of our nation. ~Franklin Graham

"Compared with past presidents, our now Commander in Chief, is a joy to behold!
Professional politicians hide behind a wall of deception and phony persona, and this
has been well documented of many past presidents. And, America has been plundered
by the likes of phony politicians."

If a leader, gets the economy strong he can be forgiven for any other wrongdoing? Which says something about our values?

Yes, and that is the question the people of America have to respond to.

Personally I think Trump’s politics is good economically speaking, and I have to respect that Trump has created many new jobs on his watch. These are important things to consider for many when pondering on whom to vote for.

It may not be fair that people like myself should be morally condemning those who are living from paycheck to paycheck and barely getting by, because they are voting for Trump. He has done good things for them.

I have to be very honest. Economic wise it makes no difference to me who’s president, so I can just sit back and be criticizing those who are dependent on the versatility of the economy. I can see now how wrong that sentiment is.

Bread comes first. Not my first world problems.

Were we voting for a new Pope, and I didn't get the memo? I thought Trump openly showed us all who and what he was when he was running for office.

How can I vote for Trump? How can I not vote for Trump? A man who isn't a career politician, who loves the Lord, reads the Bible, loves America, wants the best for our people and our country, wants NAFTA and others to pay what they owe, wants to uphold and sustain veterans security and rights, wants to make America able to sustain itself and its economy without being a servant to other nations for goods and services, wants to protect and defend our borders against trespass, and thus guarantee our national security. Wants the American worker to be able to not only feed their family but also be able to save money for their future. Shows respect for those who have lost their husbands and as such repealed the so called widows tax. Wants to bring jobs back to America and lessen the roll numbers in social welfare to that the American worker has pride and a job.

Or , I could vote for the other side that thinks all that is decidedly unnecessary.

Has anyone noticed that the one thing the Dems would LOVE to bring as an accusation against Trump is that he has had many enemies suddenly and mysteriously "disappear" under suspicious circumstances. But he hasn't. The same cannot be said about many other people in the political arena. I can think of one couple whose combined count was up to 72, the last time I heard. The best that they can come up with is Trump's own joke about being able to shoot someone on 5th avenue, and his supporters would still love him. Don't you think that dumb remark sent hundreds of Dems scurrying to dig up some dirt like that on him? Of course it did! You can bet they turned over every rock they could find.... for months and months. But, there was nothing to find.

That says a lot about a man's integrity, as far as I am concerned. They have had to invent "assumptions" about a phone call, the transcript of which the President, himself, surprised them with by releasing it immediately for all of us to see.

That is what in my opinion blew the Democrats plans right off the map. Trump releasing the transcripts of the phone call. We know they'd never do such a thing were they in his place, but that he took the wind out of their sails showing there was nothing nefarious in the call was a perfect counter to the Dem's game plan.

Also, in that the Democrats imply there's something insidiously wrong about a president wanting to insure the corruption that was present in Ukraine when tax dollars were sent there isn't going to be happening under his watch, says a lot about what the Democrats consider as warranting concern.

I’m hiring a president, not a preacher. Samson has his Delilah, and yet he was God’s instrument to knock down the temple of the Philistines.

Elections matter, but if you're a conservative and looking for something more than a holding pattern when you vote, I've got news for you- it's too late. Those decisions were made months if not years ago at primaries and party conventions.

Right now, your realistic alternative to Donald Trump is a Democratic candidate who will increase funding for the slaughter of children and appoint heathen judges who will cheer it on. They will produce legislation that will make you bake the cake. The Department of Education will renew its push to mix bathrooms and enforce pro-LGBTQ curriculum.

I'll take a braggart and a lecher over systematic tyranny.

Also, I'd really like to know what makes the man a racist or even anti-immigrant. Even if he was, the viable alternatives are a bunch of self-loathing Americans.

I'll be watching your election keenly, from Canada. I think a lot will depend on the Dem's nominee....if Biden ends up getting the nod I don't think he'll be able to withstand a Trump campaign. Year's back when George HW Bush ran for re-election the mantra became "its the economy stupid". Typically when the economy improves Presidents running for re-election are returned....with rare exceptions. Gerald Ford lost to Jimmy Carter, but Ford had never actually been elected to the Oval Office, having taken over after Nixon's resignation. George W. Bush (Dubya) mangaged to do what his father did not....and that was to win re-election despite a worsening economy.

No matter the outcome God is in control....when Joseph's brothers acted in an evil way and sold their brother into slavery, God took their horrible and sinful act and used it for good. Had Jospeh's brothers not sinned against their own flesh and blood and the Lord, God still would have kept his promise to the Hebrews however, of that I have no doubt. So even if America does like Joseph's brothers in electing your next President, God will still keep His promises....even if He has to take evil and use it for good.

Did anyone bring up Obama's personal life? How about the Clinton's, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Nadler, Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Lynch, Holder, etc.

So the way to respond is "Let's first discuss the personal lives (and lies) of all public officials who were in the Obama administration, including Obama's fake birth certificate, before we talk about Trump. And let's talk about all the bribery and corruption during that time which was kept hidden (including the Bidens). And let's not forget all the people at CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc. who were bought and paid for by Soros and others to spew lies daily."

A President should be judged primarily on the basis of how he fulfills his duties under the Constitution. And Mr. Trump has done AN OUTSTANDING JOB by any measure -- far better than any president after Reagan.

What Christians should really understand (and it has still not penetrated into too many) is that we are seeing a Satanic and demonic conspiracy against Trump to remove him from office by every illegal means, and put an evil Democrat in office in order to destroy America and the Constitution. That was Obama's and Hillary's plan, and it is still the plan of the Democrats. All you have to do is examine the platforms on which they are running.
