I had lunch today with my uncle. At the end of the lunch for some reason I asked him if he believes in God. He said no. I was not really geared at that moment to fellowship with him. But for some reason I pressed forward. We exchanged thoughts and I interjected Jesus where appropriate. He had a dish called the South Western. I had inquired about the dish earlier in the meal in which he explained he loved that dish. So I told him what if he had that dish at another restraint where it was horrible. So bad that he never wanted to have or even hear of south western again. He would never experience the joy that he gets from that dish at that restaurant because he had a bad experience at another restaurant. And that somewhere along the line in his life, someone or something left a bad taste in his mouth for religion. This opened his eyes. I told him that I would hate for something to happen to him and him miss any chance of having salvation. And what about his kids and wife. That he needs to lead his family. And that was that. As we walked to our cars to say goodbye I stressed the importance of seeking the lord again. I then asked him do you have a bible? He said no. I said do you want one. And with eager he said,”yes”. So I gave him the Bible that I read from in my truck during lunch ESV. He said I will read it before I go to bed. What should I read? I told him you should read the book of John first imho. He said he would. I prayed all day that the Holy Spirit comes into him and he becomes born again. I told him once he finds the lord then by his example his family most likely will follow. Please pray for my uncle. That the words of God touches his soul. And that someone waters and tends to the seed that was planted today. Thank youGod Bless You, Amen.
