Fathers. Did having a daughter modify your view of women ?

I imagine if I had a daughter I might feel quite protective. Especially when they reach dating age. Young guys with high libidos? Who can trust them? I know what I was like. đŸ˜€
Well it would be different to having a son for sure. Though of course I would be concerned about his welfare too. Drug distraction to name just one.
Guess this is an opportunity to talk about your kids in general.

Having a daughter would probably reinforce my view of women via more experience. :LOL:

ABSOLUTELY! Having a daughter has helped me to be grounded (she's serves as my moral compass), to be a better father, a better person and a better christian!

While I like to think that I was a good Christian kid raised by a strong widowed mother of 6 kids with two sisters... Having a strong Christian woman and example along with two sisters enabled me to be respectful of the young girls/ladies that I dated in my teens and early twenties...
During my mid-twenties our Lord tested my faith in HIM as I grew impatient, succumbed to temptations of the flesh while in pursuit of my soulmate (hind-site is now 20/20), along with the loss of one of my brothers and the introduction of the origins of brick & mortar Dating Facilities... My struggle to resist temptation while hopeful to meet my future soulmate was both an internal and spiritual conflict...
Until I was finally introduced to Wife 1.0 and my faith in HIM was restored...
Having a Daughter was absolutely one of HIS greatest blessings in my life! Her youthful innocence, always mature beyond her years, and natural grasp for her own spiritual growth - not to mention her talents and intellect - HIS grace is evident...

Conveniently, having married a Latina when our Daughter turned 15 we celebrated via a quinceañera, which is symbolic of her passage from girlhood to womanhood. The quinceañera is both a religious and a social event that emphasizes the importance of family and society in the life of a young woman.
The quinceañera celebration often includes several symbolic vignettes of which we included a public presentation of a purity ring along with a very emotional speech from me... I am convinced that the combination of our families religious foundation along with this public announcement and chaperoned religious celebration and dance is what gave her the self-confidence and enabling strength to guard her own purity throughout her teen years and well into college...

I grew up with 6 brothers. Mum was outnumbered and unfortunately raised kids at a time when women received less respect. We all took Mum for granted. She never asserted her rights enough. Sad in retrospect.
I took a long time to understand and communicate with women well. Not that I understand them yet. :) A daughter may have completed my education. :)
