Romans 3:10-12 English Standard Version (ESV)
10 as it is written:
“None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
Thank you. That is very true. Here are some more from the Old Testament. How great is God's love that he loves sinners like these.

If further proof is needed, that proof is found in the OT. First we see that sin has affected everyone born of human parents (3:10-12) and then we see that sin has affected every part of a man (3:13-18). We might paraphrase it as follows: “There is not a single righteous person” (Psa_14:1).

3:11 “There is no one who has a right understanding of God. There is no one who seeks after God” (Psa_14:2). If left to himself, fallen man would never seek God. It is only through the work of the Holy Spirit that anyone ever does.

3:12 “All have gone astray from God. All mankind has become corrupt. There is not one who lives a good life, no, not one” (Psa_14:3).

3:13 “Men's throats are like an open tomb. Their speech has been consistently deceitful” (Psa_5:9). “Their conversation flows from poisonous lips” (Psa_140:3).

3:14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and hatred” (Psa_10:7).

3:15 “Their feet are swift to carry them on missions of murder” (Isa_59:7).

3:16 “They leave a trail of ruin and misery” (Isa_59:7).

3:17 “They have never known how to makepeace (Isa_59:8).

3:18 “They have no respect for God” (Psa_36:1).

(Believers Bible)

Yet Jesus loved and died for them all.

Of course we can wander astray. But doesn't 1 John 3 say that the seed remains in the one who is born of God. And that person cannot continue in such a state, because the seed remains in Him, because he is born of God.
1 John 3:6,9 NAS
6No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
9No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

We know that John is not saying His seed will always abide in you because you are born again. How? By what he just said before this.

1 John 2:24 NAS
let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.

If you let the word abide in you, you will also abide in the Son and the Father. And because you let the seed abide in you, you will not (live in) sin.

If you depart from the word, you will sin......because the word does not abide in you anymore. Born again people who remain born again don't (live in) sin. They can't. They have the word of God abiding in them.

Will you put that into context for me please, chapter and verse. Thanks.
Read Matthew 22:14 about the feast...
And also , not everyone is elect before the foundation of the world as God chose us...
I pray for some of my children who are non believers , I pray God will grow the seeds one day soon , if not in my life time , then after , many people hear the word , yet are in hell for unbelief , like Jesus said " Let those who have ears hear 2 but many do not hear...

MacArthur in my previous post #117,193 , the video above, made this COMMENT, that epidimized the FAITH THAT I KNOW I HAVE; he said, "True Christians have an UNDYING LOVE FOR CHRIST." That LOVE can never die out, because it is the LOVE the FATHER has the Holy Spirit sow into our hearts.

Romans 5:5 (HCSB)
5 This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

It is the best message on the OSAS FAITH, is a PERSEVERANCE OF THE SAINTS type of FAITH.
I like that.

From the foundation of the earth.
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (2Ti 1:9 KJV)

The Wedding Feast
Three times people were invited to the wedding feast and they would not come.

On the fourth occasion they killed the bridegroom’s servants and still they would not come.

On the fifth occasion they were dragged in from the highways and byways until they found some ruffians, none of whom were elected.

So much for the elect. They were replaced by down-and-outs.

That puts paid to your idea of God having favourites. You poor sad people.

And what is laughable is that you base a whole philosophy, nay a religion, on eight words taken out of context. “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Don't worry, your children will be among the last group with me among them, hopefully, but good luck to the elect.

6No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.

We cannot abide in the Word without the Spirit. I kind of think the "seed" is the Spirit and the new nature He produces. The whole context of the "seed" passage is about the new nature. 1 John 3:1 and following are a more immediete context then 1 John 2:24

Jesus died for the whole world.
I agree with this. But that doesn't make the whole world elect. Elect is only used of Jesus, Saints (whether old or New testament) and Angels in the Bible never of unbelievers.

The elect, if you want to use that word, are those people across the world who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Because of it's association, I shall not be using the word 'elect' but instead shall simply talk about Christians who have been granted eternal life. For which I say a big, big thank you. Perhaps in future we can talk about our walk and life with the creator and give praise and glory to His name?

Quite frankly I'm not bothered if you agree or not, it is your choice, as it is everyone's choice to believe what they want, but please do not try to force it onto others. That goes for everyone here.

The seed is the word of God:

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. - 1 Peter 1:23 NIV

get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. - James 1:21 NIV

The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. - Matthew 13:22-23 NIV

The seed is the word of God. - Luke 8:11 NIV

I must have mistaken you for someone else who said in effect "everyone is elect". I apologize for the mistake. I would love to talk to you about God our Father anytime.

No, he did say this, your not mistaken
Everyone is elected. It was and is Gods plan and purpose that everyone will be saved. God draws EVERYONE to Him, but then, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way"

Sorry mate, if everyone has turned away there is nobody left. WE NEED TO REMAIN FAITHFUL TO THE END.

I was angry when I wrote that, not with you but with others, and it should be me apologizing. I am sorry.

Those are different contexts, but that's OK bro. I may be wrong in my interpretation of "seed" in 1 John 3. I've been wrong before. But it just seems that the context of the passage favors a different meaning of the word "seed"

Seed can also mean "descendant" or nature. It is used to speak of Christ's human nature in Hebrews 2:16...and the word seed that keeps us from "sinning" is parallell and in context with the New Birth, Sons of God, children of God as opposed to children of the devil, etc.

But I don't want to overly debate this.

I will just say that we can only abide in His Word because we have been born from above, have a new nature, have His Spirit in us. Without these, we would NEVER be able to abide in His Word. It would not be in our nature, our power, or our ability apart from the Spirit, new birth, and new nature.

If we can agree to agree on the last paragraph above, that will be good common ground for us.
