Some will say "did you ever cease being your father's son" but I will use a different tact

Having the seed of God in you, how comfortable are you when commit sin? Is it a light thing with you, or is it a heavy burden.

It is a grievious, heavy burden to me when I sin.
Now it is true that we can sin, and we can get hardened, and it can get easier and easier to sin.

That's why the warning passages are in the Bible. And the one who is of God hears the Words of God.

It always goes back to the issue of "am I of God or not"

Hebrews 7:24-25 (NASB)
24 but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently.
25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

AMEN. THERE IS ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, not because of our strength, BUT BECAUSE OF HIS STRENGTH!

Who would a person walk away from someone who saved his eternal soul?
Good point. Once I was converted, when I fell hard, I was never able to walk away. Cannot even imagine it.

I had the devil or the flesh, not sure which, plant the thought in my head the other day, and I recoiled in horror at the thought.

When I was away and committing sins, I would be driving home and the guilt was so severe, I could never really be comfortable.

when your changed, you can’t just go back to where you were before you were born again. Unless you have never been born again.

Yes, cannot even imagine. Even the times when I was living contrary to what I said I believed, I could not walk away...

If you burn your hand a bunch of times, hopefully you'll learn not to put your hand on a hot stove anymore. ;)

That totally resonates with me.

ah i get it. its like u tell me go to 42nd imagination street and pick up a news paper, it'll be there.
and i have faith to believe what you said is true

is that what you mean?
Yes, exactly. Very good.(y)

That's how it is with the faith that comes from God.
God gives us the faith to know that the gospel of Christ really is true.
Then we choose to believe what He said.......or we choose to not believe what He said.

Just having the faith part, alone, is not enough to be saved.
In order to be saved, you must also place your trust in and retain what the gift of faith has shown you to be true about Jesus.

God gives the faith to believe.
We do the believing. :)

MacArthur in my previous post #117,193 , the video above, made this COMMENT, that epidimized the FAITH THAT I KNOW I HAVE; he said, "True Christians have an UNDYING LOVE FOR CHRIST." That LOVE can never die out, because it is the LOVE the FATHER has the Holy Spirit sow into our hearts.

Romans 5:5 (HCSB)
5 This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

It is the best message on the OSAS FAITH, is a PERSEVERANCE OF THE SAINTS type of FAITH.

Anyone and everyone, depending on whether they believe in life after death or even if they believe in God, or if they find other things more interesting.

I wasn't that naughty, but some parents would, they even murder their own children, do you not read the newspapers or watch TV?
So now you compare a loving father to his children to a someone who is deranged lunatic......which means you know you have no biblical basis for your beliefs.

Jesus died for the whole world.
Yep
but he did not elect the whole world

Those he elected based on foerknowledge were predestined to become children of god. Nothing can take that away unless God got it wrong

So if you do not believe in god or the afterlife.

why would you fall on your knees and as god to save you?

Is this what you think God does?

yes, I do see the knees, and those parents should be prosecuted and put in jail

Everyone is elected. It was and is Gods plan and purpose that everyone will be saved. God draws EVERYONE to Him, but then, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way"

Sorry mate, if everyone has turned away there is nobody left. WE NEED TO REMAIN FAITHFUL TO THE END.
Romans 3:10-12 English Standard Version (ESV)
10 as it is written:
“None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
