I am able to share a testimony about another Christian...
Chuck was single 5 years and got fed up with the Christian dating site, so he came off it and started to really focus on serving God. He felt strongly that the Lord was telling him to sell some of his belongings and buy an engagement ring, and his friend's thought he was crazy. Anyway he bought the ring, I guess he must have been led which specific ring to buy but it was an unusual size. To cut a long story short, he was involved in teaching Bible Study and was asked to teach in another country for a time. His plans were to move away from where he lived for health reasons but instead of going where he had planned, instead he went to teach the Bible study. This is where he met a lady he became friends with and they soon realised that the Lord had brought them together.... and the wonderful thing is that the ring.... fitted perfectly

I am very blessed in this area, my wife and I just had our 14th anniversary, and at 39 and 37 we have been together for 23 years. We have two awesome boys, Kristofer (16), and Isaak (10), and I can't even start to imagine my life without this woman in it. From the very first kiss, a unforgettable movie caliber kiss by the way that was met with applause from bleachers full of classmates, to the dirt and grime of the slums, from our first child together to me on drugs and getting locked up, from our AWESOME!!! wedding day after 9 years, to 6 month later her talking to another man online to the point it was me or him, which by His glorious grace the day I was going home to draw the line, I had stood by her, I had been very understanding and rational about, but after almost 10 years together, a 3 year old son, we JUST got married and I will NOT play 2nd fiddle to another man. So if you my wife, the one who's biggest gripe with me is "I don't go out enough", wants to forsake the wedding vows we just too to run to a guy you've never seen who admittedly can't even leave mommy's house to get a job because of the overwhelming and crushing anxiety and can only interact with people through online games trying to craw his way into a marriage like a snake, and think this is will make you happy, then go ahead because it's that or me. Choose now.
I was on my way in the house to lay it down just like that, all my held back emotion and sense of betrayal was on fire, READY RIGHT NOW!!! I walked in the front door, and she was standing right there, we made eye contact, and before I could get a word out, oh praise Jesus mighty name, she said "I'm so sorry", I mean she let it all out, I never said any of the things I was going to. I NEVER had to, she said it all, then stopped any contact, stopped anything to do with him and that stuff. It was just something the Lord used for us to gain experience, testimony, and wisdom. God is so amazing and good. We are one flesh, and we have been together and grown from 2 unbelievers to 1 believer and 1 unbeliever to 1 believer and 1 "likes the idea of Jesus and thinks I believer", to 2 souls born again and sealed in Jesus Christ. Of 1 mind and 1 flesh I couldn't be more grateful and love her beyond words. We were truly made for each other and I pray that others can see how much they can mean to each other.
If you approach a relationship expecting at all, I mean if you are looking for them to help you, you have it all wrong. In love, to do it Gods way as it was designed and as He demonstrated by His actions, we are to approach every relationship romantic or not, but now I'm talking about a marriage, we always approach it as what we can do for them. When you get a couple together fully working for the others good in Christ, God will be glorified. Thanks for bringing the subject up, I love my wife so much.

My wife and I were both raised in church and met there when I was 14 and she was 16. We dated when I was a freshman in college, then went our separate ways. She was twice divorced, no children and was very much a "modern woman", short hair, loved dogs and was never going to be submissive to a man. She was in debt and had no peace whatsoever.
Due to my career path, I moved back home after college and stayed there until the age of 30. God moved mightily in my life and my twenties were spent getting to know Him, His Word and learning to live with Him as my Head. Through Classmates.com, I got back in touch with her, we began dating. My career had begun to take off and I moved in with her. According to the Bible, we were married. We have been together ever since.
I got her out of debt and began teaching her about the Kingdom of God and the Good News of it, which she accepted. We had both left the Christian church long before. She repented and was baptized and the Lord began to show her many things that changed her life. We live according to the Scriptures and as the Holy Spirit leads with no reference to modern religion since it has strayed so far from the Word of God.
The Lord has blessed us with 2 beautiful children and the grace of God is visible in their lives. We seek God corporately in the home and my wife works with me in my career so we are home each day. The children are in school and at the top of their classes. We live in line, by the grace of God, with this chart we have written in our dining room; it is a chart of the "Descending Chain of Authority of the Kingdom of God." Beginning with God's throne, it goes from the Father, to Jesus Christ, to the Holy Spirit, to the father, to the mother, to the children, to our dog. And we strive to keep that line in tact and unbroken in our home and the result is peace.
So our family is countercultural in this 21st century in this country but the grace of God is on us. I'm the head of my wife just as Jesus is the Head of His true church. I love her as He loves His bride and we are in a covenant together and all that both of us has belongs to the other. We don't argue, we just have peace. Jesus calls the shots for us. We have harmony.
We have had to reject most everything people have told us about how things would be when we got married and we've just had to stand on the Bible. I am a picture of Jesus Christ and she is a picture of the true Church. The union of the 2 produces fruit and the Kingdom of God increases. We reaffirm the exchange of the Cross and the New Covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ each morning as we eat His flesh and drink His blood. I confess what He has done for us and He is faithful to all He has said. Acts 2:38 is written above our front door because of what it says in Deuteronomy 6 and because God's Spirit led us to put it their.
We are a peculiar people - ambassadors of a foreign land, our home country - Heaven. Glory to God.
I moved in with my grandparents when I graduated at 17 and went to work, my wife had lived up the street 3 doors up .. Her grandfather was strict and wouldn't let her date , she was a good church going girl and I was wild .. I didn't know her at all but knew a few girls around the neighborhood .. Her grandfather had been in an accident and died a couple months later and I met her one day and asked her if she wanted to go to a ballgame with me , so we dated and after my game I pushed her on that merrygoround thingy .. She got sick and threw up all over the dash of my brand new 2 week old 1972 SS Camaro .. I wanted to take her home but she felt so bad about it I just tried to calm her down , any way we ended up dating for a year while she finished High School and then one evening she walked down''we usually watched TV during the week until Johnny Carson come on'' and she had got one of those long shag haircuts , she was already pretty but I thought ''what in the world am I waiting on'' and proposed, she accepted before I had a chance to back out lol .. We'll be married 47 yrs next Aug .. She's every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside ..
This isnt the dating and early marriage success testimony I am sharing. But here:
Marriage made in heaven? You could say it is... although one such made in heaven does not mean it is perfect down here. Even before we were married, hubby was his faithful, frank, hardworking self... He was not afraid to speak openly about many things, wc sometimes hurt when ur so sensitive as i was before. Thru the years, however, ive seen how helpful his honesty has been, esp when pointing out my faults and weaknesses, and how i can go beyond them and grow. I share this not to boast.. but if anyone thinks it is (boasting), then let me boast in what God has done and is doing.
Like other marriages, we've had our endless ups and downs. But i'd rather look at the blessings part, and share this 'blessing' of an experience. Once-- and this i never imagined would ever happen with us, we had a misunderstanding after a trigger, when i did not know exactly why he was angry and not speaking. Perhaps he was frustrated, very busy, unable to put into words, or just sparing me the (greater?) pain if he was to blurt things out=)?!
We didnt quarrel openly, but neither did we speak for... yes-- exactly seven months! I wont talk abt much detail now, but week after week, i did not ask for funds for the household after he stopped talking with me. Incidentally, i wasnt talking either as i dislike confrontations and angry shoutings if ever that would happen=).. but day after day, hoped and prayed that it would be the day that the Lord has made, when we would resolve things.
Just before a school year started, i could not help it-- and asked how in the world we wanted to start the school year, w/ a son going to study in metro Manila, when we hadnt discussed plans, moves, schedules... budgets! Then we began to talk, little by little.. and it was back to normal. I can only say God is good, always, even in the midst of our petty quarrels=)).
