I recently started Chrono Cross again it's the sequel to Chrono Trigger. I also like alot Squire Enix titles and Squaresoft (which was its companies name before the merge with Enix) Parasite Eve fun Legend of Legaia is quite good. Wild Arms is a good series Nis and Xseed are good Jrpg centered companies. But I suggest doing research or asking around before starting one. I have scruples so I avoid any philosophically heavy plots. I find most are fine with it but you gotta learn your own limits.

I have Final Fantasy VI on the SNES but I never got to play Kingdom Hearts because I didn't have a Playstation 2 as a kid. A friend of mine just gave me his old PS2 though so I might have to check it out. I'm personally a big fan of the Mother games... they're so heartfelt. I always say that the golden age of video games was during the 90s and very early 2000s...

Also, I definitely agree about doing research before playing games. That's something I honestly never used to do. I'm always shocked by the things that a lot of games portray. You seem to have played a lot of older games. How do you think the industry has changed? Do you agree that video games are getting more gratuitous? I'm really interested in the game industry because I intend to design an indie video game... eventually.

No. There has always been violent and even adult content games. There where pornagraphic games dating back to the Atari. The Japanese has been making them for more than 2 decades. The thing that changed the most is how easy it is to find and make said games. You dont need alot of design skills to make a simple Visual Novel or point and click at this time. A small group of people or even a single person can do alot with enough time. So I say they haven't gotten worse per say but it's easier to obtain. Honestly some of the worst games I've ever played where small indie style japanese games from almost a decade ago they easy beat say Mortal Kombat or Grand Theft Auto.

I love Monet! I went to a Monet exhibit at the de Young earlier this year and it was absolutely breathtaking. Vermeer is also amazing. I'm a really big fan of Michelangelo and Bernini. I also love Munch, Goya, and other artists with expressionist tendencies. This is a little lowbrow, but I really enjoy 17th-century Dutch still life paintings. Especially the floral still lifes... I also like a lot of contemporary art.

sounds like we both have eclectic tastes...yeah Michelangelo...but his sculpture more than paintings...don't you find he had a tendency to paint kind of in 3D sculpture like way? very blocky...but stunning work

I'm not the biggest fan of still life but the Dutch were good at it

I also really really like the glass works of Dale Chihuly...fantastic...saw a documentary on him and his crew some months back...I think he is a glass genius

I think Hi Fructose is a pretty great contemporary art magazine. I've found a lot of very talented artists through this one but there is also a lot of really weird stuff.

Yeah I have heard that Kingdom Hearts is outrageously ridiculous. I've seen some video summaries about the plot and I was definitely lost.

It was even kinda difficult to follow in 2 and there was only 1 game in between. I hear the ending was disappointing too

Surprisingly, I find a lot of great artists through Instagram. It's good too because Instagram has community guidelines against very violent and sexual content (something that Deviantart unfortunately doesn't seem to have).

When I started clean artwork I barely got any views at all I was also added to an angry anti christian list 🤷‍♂️ from what seen that group disbanded. But there is a small Christian community under the gunk. There rather supportive.

I also liked Instagram as a platform for photography but they sold out. they said they would never sell to fb but they did...grrrr

I also used flickr for the longest time but I preferred the older format...met some fun people there and I am still friends with them

it's a big big world out there when it comes to being online to sell or even just to get noticed

I use them for composite work in photography...like adding birds to a sky or stars and other elements
