Khedet is the Aramaic word for “new”. Yes, I am in the process of joining the Antiochian Orthodox Church.. I’m an American and live in the US.

Thank you for your response. Aramaic was the language of Christ and the common people at that time in Judea. Is Koine Greek used as the liturgical language in the Antiochian Orthodox Church today? It's good to have you with us. Welcome again!

English is used in the liturgy in the US. Church Slavonic in the Russian Orthodox, and Greek in the Greek Orthodox.
