Yes - as long as they are able to pass the litmus test for having a genuine christian soul and are capable of committing to the christian vows of matrimony and they would have to be able to demonstrate a capacity for unconditional love... Not too much to ask for from a prospective spiritual life-partner...

Interesting deal breaking lines of inquiry...
Wondering - how many christian conservatives would marry a liberal democrat? Christian of Non-Christian?

I think what you are saying might be the importance of shared values.
My wife(a non Christian), is a responsible caring person with high integrity. I couldnt ask for better. We trust each other . period.

Catholic by paper or devout catholic?

I wouldnt marry a devout catholic but id marry a born again believer. Catholic on paper or not

a Filipino Catholic! How unusual! 😀 In fact there are many Filipino Catholic Priests in Australia. An Australian born Catholic priest gets rarer every year.

14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? {15} And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?"

I would never get yoked with a catholic..

I don't think the catholics will allow you to marry in their church to a non catholic. That's what happened to my cousin a long time ago?? I don't know much about them so maybe I misunderstood??

Not on your life.
I wouldn't marry a Catholic if she were rich and beautiful and had huge tracts of land.
She would have to renounce Vatican 2, and 3, and she would have to write a one hour comedy sketch about the Pope. She would also have to pass a test on Luther's 95 thesis.

Then I would think about it.

Lol 😆 She has a doggy chewy in her mouth. I think she’s a long haired Jack Russell Terrier. Jack Russells are known for wanting to play with a ball all day, every day, and that’s exactly her modus operandi. ❤️

That changed along time ago.... Catholics can marry in the church a non-Catholic.

Over here they are playing re runs of Frasier and they have a dog on it called Eddie who looks exactly like your dog. He is really well trained and good laugh and looks exactly like your dog.

It was a long time ago and it would have been her second marriage. Anyway roll on twenty years and she ended up marrying someone else not in church but by a celebrant.

We could have had a catholic wedding, but I refused to say the things the priest was going to have my say. One thing I remember was, “I promise to raise my children in the holy Catholic Church.” Wrong, ain’t going to happen. My wife at the time was already enjoying going to the baptist church with me.

Plus, my knees couldn’t handle being catholic.😀

I am happy they have that policy, if they still have that policy.. Might end up saving someone from marrying a catholic..

Knowing what I do about the actual beliefs and practices of the Catholic "church", I would not marry a woman who adhered to it.
