Yes, justification is a one time event that does not have to be repeated (in fact, it can't be repeated). But the reason that justification continues and does not fade away is because the High Priest and his ministry does not end like it did under the old system.
If Jesus stopped interceding for you in heaven you would have no basis for your continued justification. You would lose it. You would be no better off than you were under the old system.
Walking away from the ministry of Christ in unbelief is in effect making Christ dead to you. A Christ who is dead to you because of unbelief is not alive to continually intercede for you who who don't believe and trust in his ministry. He lives to continually intercede for those who do believe and trust in him.
