I do admit your last two posts to me have me confused. I never took issue with Balaam's ass. Nor have I added a sad face to my post nor applied one in the "Like" icon area.

:( Please know that I did not intend to upset you. I am seeking clarification. Your remarks posted to me, as you quoted me and then responded in post #'s178, though @Whispered is now deleted but can be seen in my response to you in post #179. Also, in post #180, when you asked me why I'd made a sad face toward you.
None of those things are attributable to me, those that you inquire as to why I did something. I did not. I'm merely suggesting you perhaps had me confused with someone else.

Don't leave this thread due to my query. You're a valuable asset to this community as a child of God. [hugs you]God Bless.

We are told that under the new covenant much of the old covenant is outdated and of no use to us. The English translation uses the word obsolete for the old covenant. (Romans 8:10) By going back to the original Greek words and Hebrew thinking that describes the new covenant, they thought of something new in two ways, one was of something completely original and the other word we transcribe as new means something that is refreshed. The original wording of the new covenant description tells us that it is refreshing something old. Scripture tells us it makes the old of no use to us any longer.

The fact remains that something of the old testament can be ignored by us as not needed. The church uses that to get rid of the feasts, fleshly circumcision, diet restrictions, blood of animals, and some even use it to get rid of the law. It is often used as a reason not to listen to OT scripture. What do you think God means us to know about what the new covenant replaces?

My position is that God is Holy and His words, all of them, are Holy and nothing is cancelled that is Holy. Christ replaces the blood of animals used as a symbol of Christ, the Holy Spirit replaces the need to be reminded to let only clean things in our minds, we make a pledge to belong to the Lord by spirit now, not by cutting flesh. But those things naturally happened as a result of the new covenant, they were not things that God cancelled but happened as a result of things God added.

What are your thoughts and what do you base those thoughts on?
Your comment, "the original wording of the new covenant description tells us that it is refreshing something old", I like this, but that does not mean that it makes the old covenant of no use to us and if it does where do you find it. The problems is that many have been taught that the old covenant was done away with, but nowhere in the Scripture does it say that.

The question is... what makes the new covenant new? This question the Spirit of God enlighten my mind with an understanding of the truth of God's word, what God made clear when he first spoke. Now, if the Scriptures tell us that the law of God is perfect, then why would God do away with them if it is perfect? What I am trying to convey is that we need to put Gods law in it's right perspective because if the Scriptures says that God does not break his covenant, did he break his covenant when he gave us a new covenant? I am trying get you to go back to the Scriptures and ask God to enlighten your mind with the truth what he made clear because man distorts his word.

As stated, I believe that the Spirit of God enlightened my mind with this truth and I will share it and when you read what I post you will see that there is no escaping from the law of God. I just want you do to back and tell God to open your mind, then come back to me and I will be glad to explain. But let me make this clear, NO MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW, NEITHER MADE GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS BY THE LAW.

I THINK IN MY WEBSITE I WROTE ON THIS, JUST START THE SITE, IF IS THERE I WILL SENT IT, JUST A WEBSITE TO MINISTER GOD'S WORD AND ENCOURAGE BELIVERS TO SERIOUSLY SEEK GOD.

What do the following verses tell you?

Romans 7:4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 10:4 Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

Romans 13:9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Hebrews 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.
Do you find a law that doesn't show a way of loving?

In this day and age you are a man who truly listens to the Lord, it is such a relief to read your post. What makes the new covenant new is a new way the Lord has to communicate with us. The Lord had to teach a rather wild bunch coming out of Egypt and he used physical things for them to do in their training. Now God is communicating directly through the holy spirit, but God is saying the same things, giving the same truths.

The question I have is what actions does the Lord still want us to make to obey Him? The feasts are worship and we are told "for all generations". Is this so covered with the new covenant that we do not need to worship with those feasts? We do not need to cut flesh to show we belong to God. We are not making any action at all to achieve salvation, we are acting because of love for the Lord. We still cart a meal to our neighbor when she is sick, that is an action needing doing under both the old and new covenant. How do we know what things we still must do if we love the lord?

I believe this is the seventh day but many work for the world as it is written why do you buy what is not food
I believe a lot of confusion among the people is they know not the Word many know not why the Holy Spirit is is what I Coming to find out
For our first Lesson by our Messiah was man does not live by bread alone but by every Word our of the mouth of God
Many have grown fat and lazy as it is written they do not seek many cry where is this written where is that written instead of Seeking He who has all the answers we need

I like the way you write, very sincere, and though we do not have all the answers and might not agree, it is this type of communication that we can learn according the truth of God's words, what God made clear when he first spoke.

Exactly, the new covenant was new in the way God communicated the law with us. Even though I believed for about 7 years that the law was not done away with and that God does not break his commandments, about 3 to 5 months ago, as I was reading Jeremiah 31 the Spirit of God enlighten my mind with the following that God did not break his covenant, the old covenant he made with their fathers, the new covenant he made it with the house of Israel and the house of Judah and what is called the new testament confirms this.

Being that now Gentiles are becoming believers and part of the commonwealth of Israel they should participate in some of the feast that were commanded by God to the Jews who have accepted Yeshua as Messiah, they are brethren, if they don't want to it is up to them. Let's take the Jewish festival Sukkot (Succoth), this was commanded for the Jews to hold and not the Gentile, but it is nice for both Jewish believers in Messiah and Christians hold it together, being made one in Yeshua. God made a covenant with Abraham to be circumcised, this was a sealed, nothing to do with salvation and though Gentile do not have to be circumcised because God circumcises the heart if Gentiles want to get circumcise to be identified with Abraham the father of faith they can, but remember that circumcision has nothing to do with salvation.

Hope you understand what I am saying, I just put it on the table, my job is not to try making one swallow it, the job of the Spirit of God is to open the eyes of understanding.

Don't be like Blik, in my opinion he is trying to impress with his writing and belittle those who he does not agree with, but notice that he does not substantiates his view with the Scriptures.

________

I had to rewrite because I lost what I wrote and I see it posted, please correct the last paragraph on my previous post, I wrote your name, I meant unitedwithchrist.

I like the way you write, I see that you are sincere.

You are correct, it is a new covenant and what makes it new? First, the Scriptures tell us that God does not break his covenants and with this being said, he gave us a new covenant, which did not replace the old covenant. Let me explain... for the past 7 years I accepted the fact after reading the Scriptures that the law was not done away with and about 7 months ago, the Spirit of God enlightened my mind with the truth of God's word what God made clear when he first spoke. As I was reading Jeremiah 31, the Spirit of God enlightened my mind with an understanding of the truth of God's word what God made clear when he first spoke and that many have not seen this yet... The old covenant was made with their fathers and given on tablets of stone, the new covenant was made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, that God will store the law in their mind and write them in their hearts. The Apostle Paul makes it clear and confirms this truth, what God spoke through the mouth of Jeremiah.

As for the feast, God commanded the Jews to hold some feast, like the feast of Sukkot. Being that Gentiles are becoming believers and part of the commonwealth of Israel, it be nice if they partake of these feast with their Jewish brethren who became believers.

I am not here to just put it on the table, it is the Spirit of God that makes one understand. I am not like unitedwithchrist, who all he does is tries to impress with what he knows and belittles others, just my opinion.

If you have any question and we are able to exchange emails please let me know. Again, I will speak according to the Scriptures, not impressing a person to hold my view, the Spirit of God is the one who opens the eyes of our mind to understand what God made clear when he first spoke.

The Ten Commandment tells us what we should refrain from and what we should do and being obedient to the law shows that we love God, but let me make this clear that the law does not justify a man, neither does the law makes us God's righteousness, we are made God's righteousness and justified in Yeshua apart from the law. The Psalms tell us that the law of the LORD is perfect, so if the law of the LORD is perfect, why would God removed them if they are perfect?

The Scriptures tell us, the Spirit will fulfill the righteousness of the law if we walk after the Spirit, this means that the law of God is not done away with, if they were then why does it say that the Spirit will fulfill the righteousness of the law if we walk after the Spirit?

Would you agree that obedience to God's law shows that one loves God?

You are correct, by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, which means if God said keep the Sabbath then it must be kept.

Even though I am a Sephardic Jew, I do not call myself messianic, neither a christian because we are called to be followers of Yeshua. I have learn that many distort the truth of God's word because they go into the Scriptures trying to interpret what God made clear when he first spoke. If one tries to interpret what God made clear when he first spoke then their God cannot be God because their God is not clear with what he spoke.

Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. There is nothing wrong with a Christian choosing to rest on God's Sabbath day.

Sabbath Day
Thankfully I am coming to a place of rest from trying to Help. "There remains a rest for the people of God so that those who have entered into rest have ceased from their work as God did from His." Four years ago, the Lord told me: I dont need your help. He did not need to say, but you need my help continually. lol I figured that out. Around that same time He told me: Do the work of an evangelist. That surprized me, the rest did not surprise me: Fear not I Am with you. And: Pray for the Anointing. This has not been fulfilled and requires our whole heart. I retire in the comimg year and hope to find rest in God, and work from a place of rest on the Sabath, as Jesus did and turned everyone world upside down. May the wind of the Holy Spirit be in our sails. May our sails be compleatly open to His service and carry us into the Day everlasting.
There is no mention of an ending of the Day God rested in Genesis. All the other days have ending and begining. But defimed in Revelation as the Resurection of those who are blessed and Holy, The thousand year reign. It has been almost six thousans years since the fall of man. Almost two thousand years sice Jesus said when He was about thirty years of age: "Today, and tomorow, I heal the sick and cast out devils, and the third day I shall be berfected." The same meaning as "Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in tree days. Only for two of those tree days was Jesus seperated from His body. In the garden of Getsameny on thursday evening, The cup of suffering was on Jesus, and He was seperated from His disciples. Jesus laiter said "This is the hour and power of darkness." (Those who follow Him in His suffering during the time of seperation and overcome the world by His Grace will rule with Him for a thousand years. This is the day of rest.
From Thursday evening when the cup of suffering was placed on Him to Friday afternoon, jesus was in agony and said "Father why have you forsaken Me." Friday evening to sathurday morning, and sathurday evining to sunday morning are the two days seperated from His Body. We are within 10 to 15 year of the end of the second day of rebuilding of His temple.
"And the third day I shall be perfected"
Did you know that "We are labourers together with God" in the rebuilding of His Temple. "Now we are the body of Christ.
