Like feminists you know, they think they don't need men and try to be like men. But The Lord has a beautiful design for a man and woman to be one and to depend on each other. The world don't comprehend this concept.

The idea of being an "independent woman" in today's world is a feminist, secular lie that seeks to divide men and women and ultimately destroy the nuclear family and break people's relationship with God. It's evil.

The same can be said for this idea of "the rugged individual" and even "freedom" all of which are terms that seek to divide and destroy.

The Bible does talk about us using the Bible for reproof, and I do find this brother to be hard-hearted and unkind.

It’s okay sister. Leave that to God and just pray for him. I’ve also had my share of conflicts with a number of people on here, including SD, but I’d rather encourage you to put that energy into praying for him (also him praying for you) - and only God can show us all through the Holy Spirit the rights and wrongs of our words and actions through conviction.

oh the rugged individual ! Here in australia it has become an art form. How to be a male in Australia, have a beard, have at least one tattoo, shave your head, drive an SUV or a very large ute (pickup to anyone else) , do not call your friend Damion, its Damo, not David its Davo etc etc. Make sure your into sport, the more violent the better, do not sew, or show an interest in art work, as this is considered gay. And on it goes. These guys get the women btw, including christian women. The rest of us who enjoy sewing, going on road trips, love animals, detest sport, go to art gallery or concerts in the park are anathema to the women here, we have no hope :(

So my lament is, where the heck are the real bible reading, Holy Spirit filled women who are not aspirational. Were they caught up in the rapture and no one told us??

Well, how do define independence? And what does that look like in practice for a woman in 2019?
I believe feminism is cancer. I also believe that excessive anti-feminism can be cancerous.

I see in the teachings of Scripture a balance that is sustained by God. Some he chooses for marriage, some he chooses for singleness. Are we really in a position to question him?

when i sew, i make sure i draw the blinds and never tell anyone about it. thats the safest bet.
