Brothers, what are your opinions on lawsuits outside the body of Christ? Is there any Scripture concerning this?

Lawsuits that are merited are no problem 4 me. It is one Legal way our Government affords us 2 gain justice and/or redress from wrongs against us.

Did God not establish Governments?

Scripture wise, i don't believe that there's anything explicit or didactic on it. Jesus made use of the concept in his parables, but, on the same note, he often used secular and man's systems to allegorize his parables. Thus, I wouldn't be dogmatic on the implicit nature of it's usage in his parables (I don't believe that he was necessarily endorsing the actions of the characters that he depicted in these fables).
Biblically, Christians should not take Christians to court. For it's shameful that for one, there are grievances amongst us, and two, that there's no one wise enough in the Church to resolve the matter in a just and equitable manner (1 Cor. 6:7).
But also, as far as Christians vs the World goes, Jesus did say turn the other cheek, and to not resist a malefactor who wants your cloak.... Thus, it would seem petty, insecure, and lacking faith to take a non Christian to court over a theft or assault. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord.
But, on the other hand, knowing that there's a person that could cause harm to others on the loose, I personally would lay charges against him. I'm not convinced that that is acting in faith or not, but at this point in my life, when the stakes are high (life or thousands of dollars) i would take someone to court. Again, not sure if that's due to a lack of faith or not?

Read Vs. 4. It said the least among should judge...

Jesus said 2 obey the Laws of Caesar and following the avenues of redress the Govt. provides makes sense 2 me.

The Bible is quite clear that Christians must not bring lawsuits against their brothers and sisters, regardless of the harm that has been done. When the dispute is within a local church, then the church must get involved.

1 CORINTHIANS 6 (KJV)
1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

As to bringing them against others who are seeking to harm or destroy us, the better alternative is obviously an out of court settlement or arbitration. But there may come a time when a Christian would have to sue an evil person to seek justice. Christians must pray for wisdom in these matters.
