I agree with you to let the meaning of the words designed by the Holy Spirit be the guide, just one word. I have a great example.
Satan loves for us to use the word rapture a word not found in the bible, much the same as the word easter, which in itself seems so small a thing at first. But when we study its effects....
Acts 12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

One of the translators (a kenite, no doubt) and actually took the word PASSOVER and changed it to easter.
And where in the hell did they get the word easter? Well, if you look at how easter is now celebrated, it reveals its truth.
so I went and looked it up and quickly found this
"Eastre, also spelt Easter, Ostara and Oestre celebrated at the Vernal Equinox (first day of Spring), approx. 21st March.
The Goddess is in her aspect of mother to be. She is Eastre, the Teutonic Goddess of Fertility. Her symbol is the egg, symbolising fertility in nature and rebirth from the long winter months. The seeds are now sown, ready to grow and ripen. The Goddess is fertile, rich with promise and potential life. (It is from the word "oestre" that we get the word "oestrogen" - the female hormone).
To the Saxons she was Ostara, in myth she is said to have amused children by turning her bird into a rabbit, the rabbit then laid coloured eggs much to the delight of the children".
And how many Christains now celebrate "easter" INSTEAD of Passover? or mix it up just a little bit. Do you think it makes God happy??

False again. The King James Bible translators did not have some sort of a collective "senior moment", and though they translated the Greek word paska as Passover some 28 times, suddenly they had some sort of a memory slip and make it Easter this one time in Acts 12:4. And they also knew how to spell English words correctly. There is no way that they really meant to say Eostre instead of Easter.
If the King James Bible had read: "intending after Ishtar" or "intending after Eoestre", they might have a case for their argument. But it clearly does not read that way. It says: "intending after EASTER to bring him forth to the people."
Let's look at it from the Greek side of things. The Greek word used here is clearly πάσχα or paska. There is NO way on God's green earth that the Greek word πάσχα can possibly mean anything remotely like "Eoestre" or "Ishtar". The King James Bible translators were not morons. They knew exactly what this word means and it means EASTER, particularly when it applies to the yearly celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that is what they wrote. The second major problem with this view is that Herod was an Edomite and probably a Roman citizen, but by no stretch of the imagination was he an Anglo-Saxon.
So it would be more than a little difficult to have a Roman/Edomite king in the first century celebrating an Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess who was never acknowledged among the Romans and in fact did not even exist until some 4 to 5 centuries later. About the only thing the term Easter and the Anglo-Saxon Eoestre could possibly have in common is that they are both derived from the Middle English word "east" meaning simply the East. Aside from that, it's a theory totally devoid of and contrary to all known historical facts.
Furthermore, there was no need for believers to celebrate the Jewish Passover since the Lamb of God has come, thus the word Easter signifying the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
What did I say "you have set yourself worthy" to? A pre tribulation rapture. You can give me NO Scripture of a pre tribulation marriage. You can give me NO Scripture of a pre tribulation gathering of the church. IF YOU CAN THEN DO IT. If you are going to give me the "keep you from" don't bother because GOD DOESN'T SAY HOW HE WILL KEEP YOU FROM, OUT OF, ETC. as far as "pre" anything, man set that as being the WAY, not the Word.
Yes, I know this. Easter was chosen by the KJV translators to show that a definite change has taken place. Before the resurrection, it was a Jewish Passover. After the resurrection, it signifies the resurrection of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
Easter signifies Christ our passover. Easter is the Christian celebration.
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
The Lamb opens the seals in Revelation chapter 6. That tells us the seals are not as some say just natural disasters and man's wrath against the Church, these are opened by the Lamb, the Lamb is Christ, Christ is God, it is the wrath of God, wrath of the Lamb.
We are not appointed unto wrath, this proves Jesus will come again to gather the Church before the seals are opened, because otherwise we would suffer the wrath of the Lamb, which we are not appointed to.
Furthermore if we look into the book of Revelation chapter 5, we see there are already people in heaven:
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

I think it should be celebrated as the High Holy Day of Christianity with its due respect. Not with bunnies and eggs and egg hunts but a time to go over what the Word and the Passover is all about to and for us.
